  11. hey all.. i read somewhere you use a ca18 water temp sender in the conversion... but i just went and bought one and its completly different from the rb26 one? by this i mean the plug.. the rb26 has a clip on plug with 2 pins, but the ca18 one has a push on one with one one pin... is this correct? if so i guess i have to get my loom modified to suit?
  12. regarding the r34 engine... it should have a un painted inlet manifold, plastic timing case and a black plastic case on the cas...
  13. thanx heaps guys.. just the info i was after
  14. well vacuum source is all good.. still would like to know about the plugs? just the part number for the ngk ones that fit... thankyou
  15. oh ok.. well ive been told that the differnece in spark plugs is minor.. and since im running a microtech i will f**k the expensive plugs pretty fast... plus its only got standard turbos so im not expecting a miracle in power...
  16. oh ok.. so even though im not runnin a charcoal canister i still cant use that as a source?? only the other one... the bigger hose..?
  17. hey people... can the vacuum source on the runner of cylinder 1 be used as a vacuum source? im just suspect as it seems to go into the runner directly ontop of the throttle body.. also what cheap ngk plugs to you rb26 people run? thankyou
  18. thanx heaps mate...
  19. hey everyone.. i have tried looking through engine bay pics on the net but i cant see what im after.... im just wondering what the 2 metal lines are that come up in between runner 5 and 6 on the plenum... thankyou
  20. i was under the impression rb20's have solids lifters....
  21. oh cool thanx for that.. so im safe to block them all off then since i dont have the stock bovs or the charcoal canister.. also since were talkin about bovs.. in the standard rubber intake pipes for the turbos there is like a extra pipe joined to them about 1" in diameter, which i am assuming is for the bovs. what do people normally do when just just run a single bov on the cooler plumbing? block them off? is there intake pipes i can buy which dont have them on them?? thankyou for your help EDIT: im talkin about the small diameter pipes u can see in the second pic
  22. hey all.. just wondering what these lines are on the rb26 ? engine is in a s13 so im just need to know wether to keep them or block them off... thankyou
  23. maybe its just a typo on the spec sheet? and aswell as having rb20 written on it for a 20 the rb25 has the vvt buldge infront of the inlet cam gear...
  24. hvae not had the engine running before... just bought it of a work mate ... his convinced the engine is in top shape... we will see
