    OP might not know wat rpms he is reaching because the s13 tacho will read 1/3 out... the needle simply goes past the gauge.. it doesnt matter what rpm its reaching, its still not working properly

    surely IF the engine was so rooted u would have noticed driving it around? and why would the gearbox need a rebuild if you said it was fine to drive? it either works or it doesn't lol I THINK your mechanic is taking u for a ride... Definitely take it somewhere else before you make a decision/ waste money on it

    EDIT: just remembered something , if u backed up right before limiter and got on the gas again it would hit limiter normally... does urs do the same? DOUBLE EDIT: WTF HAPPENED TO MY EDIT HAHAHAHA

    old mate of mine had this problem when we put a 25 into his s14, would just rev up then bog down/ pop/ lose power.. definitely was NOT LIMITER.. We tried another r33 ecu which we knew worked properly, and in the s14 the problem was still there. he had the loom checked and was all ok, so only thing that never got checked was sensors on the engine still has the problem now, keen to know if u find out the cause..

    not bothering me at this point in time . Cant use fuel when the good old oil pump doesnt want to play . . . f**k. It im going fishing again lol

    allmost positive dryden motorsport make engine and gearbox mounts for rb conversions . One of the guys there owns that rb26 e36 that was posted earlyer .

    yeah limiter bashing is completely fine . . I used to do it all the time . . . Well Atleast until something unrelated killed my oil pump . . But as i say , that was absolutely nothing to do with limiter . Oh yeah and some chikos and most cops give mad respect for limiter bashing and flames.

    Im going to say no.... Only reason for this is the plastic cap that goes on the lower ball is smaller on the gtr . . Maybe you could put a gtr plastic cap on it Im not sure . . Short shiftiers are gay anyways

    Cefiro or r32 x member with rb20 mounts..... Or r33 x member with r33 mounts... Problem will be bonet clearance.

    Just had a thought. Maybe I dont understand, but how would u check base timing as the notches on the balancer would be 180 out Thanx

    Oh ok that sounds easy enough. Mechanic didnt say anything about keyway, just that ballancer was moving a little and damaged the crank. They did say they had to cut the ballancer off and the timing belt drive off, so hopefully they havent damaged it cutting them off. Heres hoping its just the keyway haha

    hey everyone . On my phone so ill be short ? How many ppl have had their balancer come lose/ oil pump break and damage the collar and end of crank. Work shop has told me my collar and end of crank has been damaged. I have not seen it,, but they say it might be repairable. I remember reading a few cases of this happening and was wondering how many of them were fatal to the crank? Ps. Rb oil pumps ruin the fun lol

    not sure.. u would have to call up a freight company.. but it will be less then u think... i friend of mine bought a few engine up from melbourne to gold coast and i think they were just above 100 each...
