  2. ever driven one? with the right spring rate you can hardly tell the difference, my s13 has never had a problem with under steer, infact reef the wheel hard enough or turn to sharply and the arse lets go. dont brainwash ppl with information that is not 100% true
  3. hmmm wastegates shouldent bt hitting anything as i have stock r34 dumps... and yeah still does it with ebc disconnected... hmmmm... anything else u can think off? and lol... should they have died allready?
  4. just had a look on google but didnt come up with anything interesting... when gettin up the car it has hit boost as high as 21psi, im pretty sure it only happens on the limiter ( to scary to look at ebc to check boost when it happens), possible even at high rpm's... first i thought it was the evc 6, but i just disconnected the control lines and ran straight from source to actuator and on limiter in 2nd it hit 19.8psi.... just wondering wat u guys and gals think could be causing this.. i seem to remember over on gtr uk reading something about r34 gtrs spiking when u put an exhaust on them and u need to make a restrictor before the cat?? make any sense? peak boost readings are from my evc r34 rb26 standard turbos 2.75" front pipes 3" cat back with 3" decat and also i might just be misunderstanding but my boost ramps nothing like it does on the dyno sheet, on the sheet the boost whent straight up to 16psi at 3800.. but on the street i dont see full boost untill high up in the rpms... maybe 5 or 6k (guessing) but it is late...... it goes up to 9 fast then slowly climbs the rest of the way....

  7. rly? man that sucks haha... its in a s13 so the engine didn't come with standard ones, is there anyway around it? bov is vent to atmo... would it be better disconnected? hate the sound of it anyways just wanted to make it abit easier on the turbos...
  8. hey everyone, in the last week i have finally got the car on the road and been driving it. everything is going good apart from one thing... i will try my best to describe it lol.. kk, so if i roll up to a hill with minimal accelerator and the car comes onto boost on its own (from the load)... say it reaches 3psi or so, well... when i reach the top of the hill and my foot is still in the exact same position. the boost drops off as, and as it does the car starts the "surge"?? i normally change gears or put my foot down but.... if i keep my foot in the same position the blown of valve starts goin crazy, like opens a bit every half a second or so, meanwhile the car surges really bad.... this happens everytime i drive with my foot in the same spot and it comes onto and out of boost by itself... really annoying any help would be great!! thanx edit: forgot the relevant things,, car has microtech standard r34 turbos hks ssqv bov

  12. hmmm reading this thread makes me think i dont have a crazy overheating problem at all...i thought it was bad car idleing around 85c and i have seen up to 98c thrashing it ... but thats after some fairly hard driving and then going though 3 gears to the limter with wheelspin and limiter..... the thread has made my day
  13. hey everyone, "apparently" this is a lsd.. i have no idea on diff's but ive been told both the axels should spin the same way.. which it DOESNT... could possibly just be old and f**ked though..can anybody tell by looking at it... thanx

  15. ground the metal part of the coilpacks (the part with the screw holes) and you allso need to ground the thread on the spark plug... EDIT: ohhh ur talkin about the ignitor on early rb26's? square bit at the back of the valley cover?? if so just earth it anyways... EDIT: use some jumper leeds or any cable you have lying around to ground those 3 things
  16. thankyou nsnpwr .... i measured everything and looked at differnent fans before i purchased these ones... this was the only way i could do it unless i hacked at the rad support..

  18. fans are deff blowing ... but since the fans are on the front of the rad.. wouldent it be worse to have a shroud? coz then no other air besides wat the fans are pushing in could get through... and Kiwir24t.. what is a air diverter? i have a bit inbetween the headlights, is it that?? hmm ill post a pic EDIT: ths bit behind the grill****
  19. 2 11" fans where the only ones i could fit.. couldent fit 1 16"... they are the most powerfull 11" blowers spal make...or so pwr told me.. they are mounted on the front of the rad.. there wasnt even enough room in the engine bay for the spal slimline ones...so deff no viscous fan... i have 38mm from rad to pulleys... so its pretty tight in there...
  20. kk will try the one fan thing... when i can as the car is down at my mums.... and i dont have ac.. does that make it worse?
  21. hmmm so by the looks of things its pretty f**ked haha... i might just get the fans rewired and see if anything changes... i take it every silvia owner with a 6 cylinder has overheating issues? would spacign the bonnet help?? any other things to try?
  22. thermostat is brand new, though im not sure wat temp it is, just bought one from global... might try a low temp one... and to titan: u wouldn't think that 100kph air would be better then what the thermos push? im not sure if wind would get through the thermos without to much turbulence? ..
