Hey everyone, car is tuned now .. everything seems to be going ok except for the water temp.. i have let it get as high as 98 degrees...i went and bought some of that "redline water wetter" yesterday. the $50 stuff.. and it seems to keep it lower until i get up the car for a bit.. now i think i know what the problem is.. just wanted other ppls opinions ... the guy that wired my ecu, wired the fans onto the wrong output, so the tuner could only have them "on" or "off".. so thats the way they are atm, allways on... would this block airflow at high speed? i suspect it would? as the fans are on the front of the radiator as they would not fit in the engine bay.. s13 with r34 rb26 mspec alloy radiator cant remember model numbers but, they highest powered 11" spal pushers i could buy from pwr thanx

  4. hey mate, i wouldn't bother unless u really think you will use tps to control boost... i did it, just for the sake of it.. and it messed up my tps signal... the signal would jump around up to 8% on idle... sucked..

  6. from what i have seen being a female changes alot.. my housemates gf drives a s13 sr20det ... no front mount and looks standard and she has been pulled over heaps of times and never asked about it being turbo ... i could bet if it was a guy driving that would be the first thing they ask....Shes on green p's, has had this car since she got her red p's
  7. i have one... i dont rly know much about it , other then it does its job haha.. im not using any of the extra features so you could probs get away with a cheaper one( or maybe not) , looks nice though ...... EDIT: just played with it, its pretty cool... buy one!!!

  11. if you re-read my post u will see it says " v-spec r34's"... as only cars with the mfd #2 have the exhaust temp and another inlet air temp sensor in the cooler plumbing.... ie. normal non-vspec r34's will not have these
  12. i was under the impression only v-spec r34's had the exhaust temp sensor.. its in the rear dump pipe down near the flange for the front pipes.

  14. nah it wasnt the gain, the tuner bypassed the ebc altogether and the actuators still went to 16psi.. and the engine is in a silvia so there is none of the standard restirctors

Hey everyone, finally got my car tuned, just trying to work something out. engine is a standard r34 rb26 with front mount, dump pipe back exhaust and a microtech ltx12. using a hks evc, (forget the number, 5 or 6?? the newest one) the car wont run anyless then 16psi stable. when set to anything lower then 16, it just creeps up to 16, but set at 16 or higher it holds it there,, it was tuned for 16 so its not a problem, just would like to run less for when im just plodding around. i have seen from a fair few sites 1bar is stock for r34 without the restricter, so i guess this makes sense, allowing for 1psi increase with free flowing exhaust.. can anybody confirm this or does anyone think there is something wrong?? thankyou

  21. maybe im a complete idiot, but didnt gtr's only come with t28's? and im pretty sure all t25's were steel wheel? they were used on silvias, only skylines got the ceramic curse...
  22. and if u need it.. a quick way to drain the tank is to disconnect the fuel line (feed) to the rail and turn the ignition on... it will pump itself empty..
  23. not sure about r34 gtr but on r32's engine light flashing can also mean injectors maxing out....

In all seriousness you guys that go out the the track, how often do you guys and gals drive the car on the street? dont use ever get pulled over in rbt and defect stations?.. problem is, quite i few times myself or mates have been pulled over and car gone over for absolute nothing... so your still under the eye when your being sensible...
