Doh! thought u might be interested in the car. The rims are VS and worth bout $1500 - $2000 u can find them on the net.

Also the car has a lightened nismo flywheel and stiffened suspension. Come on someone must be at least half interested remember I need to sell asap so am completley negotiable on the price. Hey all I have my beloved skline up for sale cause I'm movin to the northern territory and need some cash pronto. Anyway the car is a silver 96 r33 series 2, type m manual coupe. It is largley unmodified except for a 3 inch turbo back mandrel bent exhaust, a HKS mushroom pod filter, and a blitz blow off valve and custom intercooler piping. Also features shiny 18 inch rims with fat 265 rubberon the back and 235 on the front. The tyres are near new and have plenty of tread. The car has recently been serviced with all new fluids including engine, gearbox, diff, power steering, brake and radiator fluids using quality fluids and oils. Also the throttle body and AAC valve have been cleaned though they barely needed it. Body is in great condition with no major scratches and no dings. The interior is also pretty shmick with velour trim, kenwood cd with fm converter so u can get aussie radio. cold aircon + climate control and dark window tint. Car looks, sounds and goes great also has nearly 11 months of dealer warranty left covering all faults and about 2 months rego. Thats all I can think of now except i'm asking $15000 fully negotiable mind u so make an offer and get yourself a great deal!!! Cheers Zane

Hey all Just wondering how high peoples rb25det engines are reving when sitting on 100 - 110 km/h? mines a little over 2500rpm just wondering if this is normal. Oh it is a 5 speed manual as well. Cheers

Ok so where is the throttle position sensor? is it the sensor on the throttle body? Thanks mate

Cheers guys Yeah been thinkin about doin the fuel filter so i'll give that a go then try the other idle adjustment suggestions if it doesn't work. Don't really wanna go messin around with the ecu though.

I have a minor problem with my r33 gtst. Basically when I push the cutch in the revs will drop as normal but then hover around 1200rpm for a few seconds before dropping to the idle rpm. Its not really causing any dramas but I am unsure if this is normal or wat. Do these engines somes kind idle speed control solenoid? Anyone else had any similar problems or any suggestions as to what could be at fault here. I have recently cleaned the AAC valve and the throttle body and reset the computer and did not make any difference. Cheers in advance

oh yeah wat type of k&n filters will bolt on to the stock AFM Cheers

hey i have the green HKS mushroom pod. Just cleaned it and oiled it but not sure if you supposed to oil them. Is this bad for my AFM. Seems to be running fine and it has to filter better with just a light spray of oil. Thinking about getting a K&N cause the HKS is way too loud.

Hi all Thanks for the great DIY general maintenance threads they have been a great help for in doin a bit of work to my r33 GTST. I just cleaned the AAC valve, throttle body, AFM and changed the gearbox oil, and the relevant threads were a great help. Had a bit of a scare when i forgot to hook up the AFM after I'd finished lol. Always helps to have a reference point when carrrying out these jobshaving never worked on one of these motore before. Anyway thanks to all those who posted the treads hopefully i can post my own DIY when I learn more about the RB25DET motor. Cheers

hey just wondering wat is a decent, reasonably priced oil to use in the gearbox and diff of a r33 rb25det? also has anyone noticed much improvement after adding a friction modifier like the nulon stuff?

Hey guys I just got my s2 r33 and also no remotes came with the car though it does have central locking. was wondering if the car did actually come with keyless entry could i get an aftermarket remote to activate this? or would require a nissan remote. or would i have to put a seperate motor in to suit the new remote? Hope this makes sense. Basically want to know my options as im sick of using the key. i mean it couldn't be too hard to set up a keyless system that activates the door locks could it? Cheers

Hi everyone Just bought a 98 R33 gts-t with 55000km last week and i am stoked witht the performance of this car, it is comparable to my xr6 turbo which i sadly had to sell. And i must say the technology in skylines is easily comparable if not better than that found in current aussie built cars, (considering the skyline is nearly 10 years older). Anyway just a few questions, my stock boost gauge reads goes to about 3/4 towards +7 when I boot it, which I undersatand is around 10psi (correct me if im wrong) is this normal for my car which has a 3 inch cat back and HKS pod and intercooler piping. also have blitz blow of valve and wondering how to adjust it is it the bolt on the front. Will go have a fiddle with it tommorow but thought i'd ask anyway. Oh also my exhaust has no mufflers except for a single middle resonator, It is extremely loud and I assume it is also illegal? gonna get a rear muffler but just dont wanna spend much cash on on it at the moment as much I would like to.
