  1. When i brought the car almost 2weeks back it had an SAFC2 in it, but i have since taken it out and sold it....
  2. I played around with the boost settings on my boost controller last night and it seemed to stop boost cutting once i had turned it down....then i was driving to work this morning and it boost-cut I also checked the coil packs last night and all piping and everything seemed to be on properly/fine..... My brother recommended sending the car to Hyperdrive/Ovaboost/etc to have the boost controller tuned properly for 10-12psi.... Any other suggestions before i book it in for a dyno tune?
  3. I know my previous car wasn't a skyline, in fact it was a toyota paseo, but when the front left cv joint went on that i took it to australian cv joints in balcatta to get it recond. Cost me around the $175 mark for it to be completely recond labor inc. That's my 2cents worth!
  4. Ok guys, finally got around to taking some photos of my Skyline on my crappy iPhone camera. So here we go!
  5. Nah man you wont loose your driver's licence, you will just have a whopping fine and demerit points. Just slow down a little speeding aint worth it! I've been flashed once since i've had my P-plates; doing 9km/h over the limit in a 70km/h zone, and that was a $75 fine and 0 demerit points.... Fines all together just suck ass so just slow down a little and try to avoid getting them!
  6. Off the top of my head i'm not sure, but i will check my settings and post what i have them set too. Ok well i'll wind the boost down to 7psi, check all the intercooler piping and the coil packs and then see if it still does it. Thank you very much for all of your help guys! Much appreciated
  7. Yeah i have already played around with the boost controller settings as to how fast the wastegate opens and closes, and it didnt seem to have an effect on the boost-cutting. I will double check all vacuum lines/piping/etc tonight to make sure it is on properly. Although just before i changed the plugs it was all fine. Would resetting the stock computer have anything to do with this?
  8. Ok, first of all i'll wind down the boost to about 5-7psi and give that a shot. If that has no effect, i'll take out the coils, check them and put them back in. The coil packs are factory. Do you guys think that blocking off the stock blow-off valve would be effecting it at all?
  9. I am pretty sure it's boost-cutting. Foot flat in 3rd, 4th gears erc and by about 4000rpm the boost just drops and the car just lurches forward becuase there is no acceleration for a split second then it comes back on...
  10. Soooo, is anyone going down to the drags tomorrow night? I'll be there, white S2 r33 with white 5spoke starcorp rims! See you there
  11. Hey guys, I acquired my r33 gts-t almost 2 weeks ago now. This past sunday the 22nd Feb i serviced it. Changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and spark plugs. With regards to the spark plugs, i replaced them with brand new standard nissan plugs. Just before u did the service the car was well running quite smooth and fast. Just after i completed the service and put everything back in the engine bay as i took it out, it started to boost-cut? My brother did reset the computer by d/c the battery and holding the brake. Mods-wise, the car has an FMIC, turbo-back exh, dump pipe, and greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller. The other thing that has been done (by my brother also lol) is the gasket for the stock nissan blow-off valve was taken out and a solid gasket was put in, so the blow-off valve effectively does not work and i get the turbo-flutter effect. Any ideas why it is boost-cutting? (i'm running 10psi) Cheers fo your help guys
  12. You better come i wana see your gtr v-speccle hehe

  18. Hey man i work with DPI and licensing cars and all that stuff. You only need to have the vehicle inspected if there is a considerable power increase from the engine (i cant tell you percentage wise coz i dont know), or if the new engine has more/less cylinders. We do have forms we can send out called change of engine number forms....ill check our website BRB aha here we go, change of engine number form http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/lic_MR6_ChgEngNum.pdf
  19. Hey mate, with regards to registering the vehicle in WA (pits bookings, temp permits, all that sorta thing), i work with Licensing Services for DPI so i deal with this thing every day. So if you need any help just PM me
  20. Hey guys, just looking for a set of Volk TE37's in bronze and pref 18inch. Does anyone have any for sale and how much do you think a 2nd hand set will go for? Cheers for any help
  21. Very nice R33 Series 2 mate! I'm buying an R33 series 2 very soon (120,000kms, FMIC, cat-back exh, pod filter, turbo timer). I would like to ask (if you dont mind), how much did you pay for it? I'll be paying around the $13,500 mark for mine and it's plum , same colour as yours, spec and everything, just has a few minor mods!
  22. Yes, there was an R33 model called the Nismo 400R. From memory i think there were only 49 produced? They had a 2.8 litre engine dubbed the RBX-GT2.
  23. Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, so dont go too hard on me lol. Within the next few weeks i should be getting an R33 Series 2 gts-t, 1996 model. It is fairly low kms (120kms), with minimal modifications (cat-back exh, FMIC, pod filter, turbo timer). I was wondering if anyone could help me with regards to the specs of these particular models and what all of the options are/were. I am quite interested to see if there are any little bits and pieces this R33 may have that i am not aware of, apart from the obvious things. Cheers
