  1. Good luck getting rich. Come see us when you do.
  2. We're the sole Victorian agent for trade car view. The 0 doesn't always mean accident on tradecarview, it just means that the dealer on tradecarview hasn't given their car a rating yet. Or, sometimes cars which are modified also get a 0 because they don't grade them. The B is the interior rating. I'd imagine this car would be about 2 mil, not 3. I think they have both 5sp and 6sp, so as long as the gear box is factory, should be fine about that.
  3. $2000 with us, not sure about other workshops.... david @ carizma
  4. just print it on label paper and cover it in contact laminate..... that's what we do.... david
  5. hopefully its only for the motor show...
  6. we still have the 18 month rule to consider starting from October 24th 2007, its still a long way off.
  7. cool, thanks for the quick reply! -david
  8. Just to clarify....How do you know it's Nissan Australia doing the testing? We test cars there, too.... If it IS Nissan Australia, that's bad news, but if it isn't (as sewid seems to infer), then that's good news.... so, which one is it? -david
  9. Even with an unregistered vehicle permit, it's only supposed to be used for registration purposes or transporting the vehicle, i.e., you're not SUPPOSED to use it to get groceries at safeway or anything like that, just for getting a roadworthy, going to your Dept. of Motor Vehicles, etc.
  10. Totally agree, 50% in 3 years is normal in Japan especially as the first 3 years Shaken has expired then so 70% in 5-6 years is well within the realms of possibility.
  11. Yup, 33's are the same price. Tires are up to you, we have spare parts (tires, exhaust, etc.) that we fit for compliance for free, and swap back for free, no problem. obviously aftermarket intercoolers are a problem, since they cut holes in the body (usually....ARC is an exception I believe), so call us first if this is the case. accident cars are no-go also, obviously. You'll need tires for RWC, but you can get them at Beau Repairs, it's all the same to us. Watch out for other workshops overcharging you for tires.....one of many tricks of the trade. Jon handles all the compliance stuff, so give him a call if you're interested, or come in during the week to chat...we're at 4 York St. Richmond, VIC 3121. cheers, david @ carizma
  12. sorry, didn't read that about the nismo spoiler....yeah, 26 or 27 seems about right, I'd post some new pics with the spoiler on.....
  13. I'd suggest (like some others on here) getting your car as close to stock as possible....especially exterior / looks-wise. It looks like you've spent a good deal of time and money customizing your ride to fit your preferences, but realize that your specific taste is just that, YOUR specific taste. Other people might have different tastes, so you're limiting your potential customers by selling a modified vehicle. Even if you drove this car like a grandma for the past year, I'd see something like this and think it's led a tough life. Still, I've heard of private sellers selling 33 GTS-T's for $25,000....so I'd say $27,000 might be within your reach, just depends on how long you want to hold on to it. anyways, good luck on the sale, I imagine we'd sell something like this for around $23,000 (stock standard version, not your specific vehicle, since we only sell stock cars) so that's something to think about. cheers, david @ carizma
  14. I worked for one of Japans largest used car exporters for 2 year going to auction 4 times a week so I have seen my fare share of depreciation from new to second hand cars. It all depends on the popularity and market conditions domestically in Japan but I have definitely seen cars devalue more than 20% within the first 12 months.
  15. Hi Christian, Yeah, I missed your reply as well, seems like this thread likes to slip through cracks. nissansilvia.com has a good dealer car section, open only to their Business Traders as well. One thing I noticed about the classifieds section: Sometimes we'll be on here looking for a steering wheel or something, and it's pretty tough to navigate. Seems like forums are great for browsing, but finding a particular item can be a bit rough sometimes. Not sure if this is technically capable, but it'd be awesome to somehow link this board (powered by Invision? phpBB? ) up with Zencart or a similar system. Pretty much like setting up a marketplace section of the forum that'll be easier to find specific parts, etc. It definitely looks like there are good bargains in the parts section, and we're probably missing a decent amount. If this isn't technically possible, maybe arranging parts into subcategories i.e. engine, interior, exterior, etc.??? just ideas, thanks for the reply, david @ carizma
  16. You can extend the time period for compliance every 12 months if it hasn't been done yet. If this guy says that's what he did, then he sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Ask him who the compliance guy is (find the name on the import approval) and go to the DOTARS website and look up his telephone number. Call him, and if the compliance guy says he won't comply the car for one reason or another (i.e. aftermarket intercooler, accident car, etc.), than you should probably steer clear of this car. cheers, david @ carizma
  17. Yes by the time we will be able to import them the market price will be around 6mill the depreciation is huge on new cars in Japan, so another reason to wait.
  18. right, and let's not forget about the dereg certificate, which means every car has to be registered first, adding to the cost on top of that before it can be deregistered.
  19. you're using 6U900000A31004026 as your VIN, right? You need to contact NEVDIS in Sydney to add it to the nationwide system. This happens a lot with cars under the 15 year old scheme. The car will have an import approval for sure, don't know why DOTARS can't find it. don't worry, everything's kosher here.
  20. No workshop can use aftermarket intrusion bars for compliance, must be factory fitted. [our engineer's tried] You have two options, buy a set of doors with factory side intrusion bars (obviously off a later model r32), or borrow some for compliance and get aftermarket side intrusion bars fitted for roadworthy. We have some doors we can lend you for compliance, no problem. We can also do the aftermarket ones for $500 (whole set, $250 per side) Compliance costs $2500. cheers, david @ carizma
  21. Sure, but Nissan hasn't brought them in yet full volume, so it depends on what they do.
  22. Cheers, Thanks for the comment. stolen_s15: By the way, saw your signature: we got a brand new R33 S2 windscreen fitted for one of our cars for $200 bucks at our mechanic. Why are you looking for used?
  23. So many variables here, hard to say. We calculate it at about that (actually $125k) if valuing 8 mil FOB and 4k for compliance. Who knows, really, cause no one has compliance yet. Also, who knows what the exchange rate will be in 2009. There's another thread about the 18-month window that Nissan has to import it themselves....see http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Un...R3-t202581.html for more info. Basically, if Nissan brings them in full volume (before 18 months expiry date) no one else can. And until Nissan releases what their intentions are, everyone else's hands are tied. cheers, david @ carizma

    My New Car!

Hi Ferah, I don't think we're doing this car for Shuie, because he has 34 compliance already. We usually comply Aristos and other cars that aren't on his schedule, but never any 34's that I can remember. Still, if he's run out of plates or something and is bringing this 34 in to us...great, it'll be great to meet you! cheers, david
  25. I hear J-Spec does lots of Stageas, so probably can't hurt to go with them. We comply them, but don't usually bring them in unless for a customer buying using our auction service. cheers, david @ carizma also, probably the nicest import showroom I've seen is grand turismo on spencer street...it's not a yard, it's a showroom
