Whats wrong with chrome washers and blue lights? werent you happy with the set you got for your car? BTW hows those under car neons going? j/k Back to the point, if you want a laugh, check out some of the silvia forums, there's P platers who post there things like: "Whats wrong, i paid $300 for a 'insert brand here' BOV, it sounds really nice, but how come my car backfires now?" If a BOV causes a backfire, wouldnt it actually lose power during changes? When i got my car it had a BOV on it, and it was really backfiring, i used it to bargain the price down, then i got it home, and plumbed it back. The only reason its still there is cause i changed the cooler, and it was easier to keep than the stock valve.

I put in a supra cooler. I think its from a 1jz, or could be before that. its about 3x bigger than the stock cooler. I havent boosted yet, cause i wanted to wait for safc and fatter rubber, but next week i will have the rubber, and i just did safc, so its happening soon. I noticed on stock boost there is less lag, and it holds the pressure more constant, it used to go up and down a bit. It cost me $350 to buy, it bolts pretty much perfectly in, no cutting or modding bumpers, and it cost only $100 for rubber hosing, bits of exhaust pipe for bends etc.

some of that was probably my dodgy camera work. Fast pans, hey how bout uploading the tight ass shots...

20yo, 30% NCB, no speeding fines or accidents. 92, insured for $12,500 costs me $1700 a year, and i pay $1500 cause i have an approved immobiliser (RAC). Never pranged mine so i dont know about front ends, dont wanna have to know either.

was in the $25-30 range. The guy said that they ordered some 3 weeks ago, and should be here later this week. Ill ring him in a couple of days, when hes got it ill let everyone know exactly how much, and maybe get a whole bunch and sell it at a cruise or something.

lots of people carry big sticks in the car next to them, i do, and know a few people who do too. I do martial arts, so i went to where i get my supplies from, and the advice given was sticks are too big, slow and illegal. The best thing i was told was pepper spray (not capsicum spray), the proper stuff that shoots out like a jet, and burns, and takes the guys breath away, accurate to 3 or 4 metres, and able to hit multiple attackers. It is completely legal, fits on a key ring, cheap, and you can even shoot from inside your car. Im waiting for the next shipment.

Dont get marlows to mix it. Your paint will be slightly faded compared to the new paint, panel beaters can match your colour, and pack it in a pressure can for you. Its not cheap, but you will also get their advice on how to do it so it doesnt react with whats there, and how to blend it in, and whether to use clear or not. The only way you will be able to match it is if a professional does it. Gradenko or boostzor can vouch for me knowing about paints.

like the rear wing tho.

you could just be a smart arse and call them 'slicks' but somehow i dont think thatd sit too well with mr policeman.

scary, but those security guys are pretty out of shape. anyway, i saw him again twice today. I wasnt doing much speed this time though. I normally do 50-60, but the other day some guys were looking at my car, and well i couldnt resist giving it a squirt, mind you its not 'in' a carpark, rather a long, fairly straight road, if it was outside curtin the limit for such a road would probably be 50-60. looks like it is working though, im slowing down to 40-50ish so i can get to thirty quickly if need be, the thing is even the curtin cars, including security dont do 30. And i checked the by-laws, they can fine you, and if you break any WA road rules they can get you for that too, theres the end of me being a smart arse.

Seems like the good old parking people at curtin have invested in a laser radar gun. Drove in today, speed limit is 30, was doing 80-90, someone flashed me, i though WTF, slowed down, and doing about 40, round a gentle corner, my radar detector went crazy on the laser band. Brakes on. nose down, he knew, and kept the thing on me for the entire street. He couldnt get me, i just shook my head at him in disgust. Anyone know how long this has been going on? The max fine is $50, im thinking of doing 130 so im 100 over and copping the $50 just so i can frame the fine, anyone interested in sponsoring me? so long as they cant get me for anything else.

how hard was that to fit? I know someone on this forum is interested in the kit, but ill end up having to help him fit it, not naming any names. Id like to know what im getting myself into if i agree to help. Some people have no skills... you know who you are.

If it ****es itself completely, theres a chance itll lose metal bits into ure intake, that means hot metal into ure cooler, and even worse, into a cylinder, bye bye piston... Play it safe.

http://www.andra.com.au They are the drag racing governing body. They take care of licencing, rules, all the boring stuff. To drag race you have to have an andra licence, thats part of the fee you pay to race at the plex. Theres some info there, and some on the plex site, that tells you exactly what you get for your money.

In theory, my safc is at the post office on monday, if i can get it in, boosted and tuned next week, im there too. If not, ill watch, its always good seing commodores get eaten by, well anything, theyre always "WTF". Doesnt the price to race include a temporary andra licence and insurance?

got 2 pioneer 12" TSW303C, older model. Came out of my commodore boot, have a 4 channel amp too. Subs are 100W RMS, 500W Max. Amp is bridged into 2x 120W i think. Subs are in a carpeted box, that is looking a little worn, maybe needs a recovering, i custom built it for a commodore boot. Around 5-$600 mark, neg. PM for more info. I just realised, wrong side of the country. Probably not much good to you.

well, i was giving a bit out for paying that much for insurance, but i guess you got your moneys worth. If you get that video i gotta see it too.
-
Well youve gone for a new signature, but i think you should have just added to the old. To my arch nemesis the P plater if youre in my way im gonna hit you, that goes double for you kerb. Well, i dont think anyone would have been able to pull it off at that corner. Make sure you keep the vid, or send it to Gradenko so i can see it at his place during the week some time. I had a fair bit of trouble keeping up with you lot, time for more boost, And my ticky lifter seems to have gotten louder...
-
If you just pull then they will break off, i know at least two other people who have learnt this, and they know who they are. The tip is to use short sharp jerky pulls/hits with the palm of your hand, and most of the time they will let go. WD40 or similar is also a good idea.

Its all about the number of turbos, if you say TT then you get screwed. This is what happened when i was looking at cars, and RAC wont even insure my dad for a Z, he had to go shannons. They think more turbos = more power which i spose is usually the case, but if you said i have a 800cc suzuki mighty boy twin turbo they still would knock you back... Wouldnt that be an interesting car...

I dont think youll be seeing it again, this place is turning like the eastern states where cars get stolen and stripped... Anyway if they thrashed it around instead of stripping it, you dont want it back, it'll never be the same, and youll always know. Hope you get a big hefty payout, and find one that matches or betters your old one. Its not a good idea to sleep with your keys next to you or theyll come in and threaten you for them anyway, if they break in they mean business, its safer to let them have the car, not worth a potentially life threatening injury. (Its happened to my household before, my dads v8 commodore a few years ago, they came armed with screwdrivers, 4 big blokes, lucky they found the keys easy or it could have meant trouble, got the car back but it was never fixed as good as it was) My more than 2 cents worth anyway.
