What about all the newish cars that come out. Most say use 95 oct right? But if i was to buy a new car i would use 98... Simply because its a cleaner burning fuel. Or do the newish engines are able to handle a range of oct levels? For example i see honda euros at petrol stations... Some people fill oct 91 some 95 and 98... when they reccomend 95?

R33's came with special batteries which allowed a tube to be plugged into the battery. This tube then went down thru a hole in boot and out under neath somewhere. This allowed the battery to ventilate. If you have changed your battery to an australian one, then i doubt it came with this modifcation on the battery. There is also vents in the boot it self, bottom drivers side in the corner.. Take a look. Im sure that these are there due to the battery being in the boot. I am running a jap spec battery so ive managed to keep that tubing. IF i was to go Australian type battery, i would just get a dry cell which doesnt need ventilaton as far as i am aware... =)

New To State Need Help On Finding Some Wheel Spacers
br3ndan replied to turbo wranga's topic in Western Australia
Spacers shouldnt be used full stop Get wheels that are specified for your car. You can go on all you want about how they are ok or whatever. Its not going to change my mind on them. If you use them... you are stupid -
or you could just install the turbo timer and it would make life alot easier if you dont have stuff to grab every time They are pretty cheap now a days anyway =)

r33's do that as well

How sure are you about being able to sticker you when you have say parked the car at the shopping centre.. i would really like to see the law sections behind that... as i highly doubt that is possible. -

as i said, i want it to represent the XY GT. Im buidling it to the same specifications as a GT would be built. And those same specifications also means badging it that way. I freely admit its not the real thing and i have no intention to tell people it is when its not. This is for me, not anyone else. This is the cloest thing at the moment i can have to the real thing ( i am only 22). Why cant i make a car that is close to the car i inspire to have in the future? And what i meant by the whole workshop thing, is that i hate poeple who send their cars to work shops get the work done and go on about how its their car. TEchnically it is their car, but they didnt do any work on it. So to me, that isnt worth sh*t.

i have a different view on this... I really think it depends on the type of car you are doing My dad and I currently rebuilding ground up a Ford XY.. When we got it... it was just the shell..now its about 90% complete. However, im doing it as a replica XY GT. I have obtain alot of the original GT parts and specs and yes that includes the badging. With this kind of project and the amount of work going into it.. i am 100% sure it will never be sold. Nearly all the work has been done in house by me or my dad. Including painitng the car, taking out the rust.. putting in the new engine, suspension componets, interior.. etc. If i could afford a real xy GT then i would buy one. But with me working on my 1st after degree job,, and currently looking to get an apartment ( My home loan just got approved! ) it seems a bit out of the question. This way i can appreciate the car as it is knowing the work was done by the family and not some random workshop guy. If anyone was to ask me if it the car was real authentic GT i would say no. Its not. I have gone to large extenive means to make this as close to the real thing as possible. This is not becuase i want to impress other people or trick other poeple..nor do i think its juvenile. It was built so i can appreciate it for what it is. No one else. I cant afford a real one, and this is the only way at this point of time i can enjoy it. So for those going on about how its wrong and whatever, in my opinion, if its done well and right, and in the intention to give credit to the orignial, which may be out of reach for some... i see no problem in doing so. This car will stay in the family for a long time to come. And to me, its worth more than the real thing.. maybe not in monetary value, but sedimental value. Building this car has been a real eye opener and gives the family something to come together and do work on. Think carefully before you go and discredit what people have done... Simply sticking a GTR badge on a GTS T and giving it the GTR kit on the other hand... yes that is wrong. Because its not giving credit to the GTR , its damaging the brand and reputation that the GTR gives out. When its done in the next few months, ill be sure to bring it out for a cruise B1... and u can let me know if it changes your view point on rebuiling cars to represent others. =)

R33 Skyline Number 9 On Top 10 Greatest Ever Sports Cars
br3ndan replied to SL33K's topic in Western Australia
lol get a life guys Its just a tv show.. with personal opinions. No need to get all huffy puffy over it. I own a r33 but i couldnt care less what people say or thought about my car. -
Ive notice r34 batteries to be alot bigger than the r33's... Mine is a tiny little thing that sits in the boot... and its still the Nissan genunie battery from japan...!! Still works great ! that thing seems to never die (Touch wood)... I highly doubt its got to do with the size of ur battery, unless its under charged... Cause you've had this car for awhile and its been running ok since you bought it. Probably a earth somewhere like your friend suggested

is this a joke or what?

The one thats higher up, thats to control how high you want ur antenna to go. Currently its set at the half way mark... switch it up and turn on ur radio and it will go up even higher . =) The one below i cant really make out so cant help u there.. Hope it helps

Why do most people insist on trashing the car just after oil change?? what do they hope it will achieve?? its beyond me?
-
Exactly ^^ No way in hell did a ryco filter cause the knocking. Nissan gen. filters arent that good. They are probably made in the same factory ryco's etc are made. Even on new cars, ryco maintains the new car warranty. So there is no problem @ all using a Ryco filter. Dont be suckered in to think that nissan gen is always the best. Though i agree in SOME cases they are, but certainly not this one. Clearly sometimes they are the same if not inferior. Most probably its oil level if anything.

agreed done it many times with different cars no problem at all with me, the multimetre or the car .
