series 2 + greddy fmic... he will have to cut a hole and trim the bumper. I say do it ur self... i did mine my self as well. But i installed a stealth FMIC, so no cutting required. However, most work shops like xspeed, c red, tenagah can do it for u for few hundred.

so looks like even a little 253 V8 would be banned? so i might need to find a little honda civic for my little brother ..? What if all the cars in the family are either turbo or v8s? Could we get a exemption so my little brother could drive the less powerful car in the family? Or is this not possible?

Do whats the low down on this? Will the ban be solely based on V8 / turbo / supecharged? Or will it be more on Horse power? Whats the EasT version of this? I was planning to pass my little brother my V8 One WB Holden Ute. Its only got a 253 in it, which means its only what? 4.2 litres? Its been worked a bit though (Twin Throttle etc)... So will he be unable to drive this? I would think the government would be lazy and just ban all V8.. so any car with 8 cynlinders are banned.. but a 253 is basically a V6 anyway ? What are your thoughts? Should i sell of my ute and buy him something smaller to get around in or just give it to him anyway?

Fun cruise! Loved it how we stuck together for most of the way... Love seeing a big line of performance cars cruising! It just tends heads! Left after the first leg, how did the rest go? Good to meet new people! and catch up with old. Hopefully the next one i can attend all of it!

Everyone seems to be getting good results from changing o2 sensors!! Ive just ordered mine from the good guys at kudos! hopefully it arrives this week sometime and ill wack it in on the weekend! More fuel economy FTW

Ive already got an alarm installed in my skyline.. However i dont have this "screamer" in the cab. How much roughly are we looking at to get one of these installed? Any brands in particular? and would they adapt to my alarm i have in my car already? As the alarm that has been installed was done under a year ago... so i dont particulary want to turf it out just yet...

All you guys are too narrow minded. V8's 32s, 33, 34 or whatever! Who cares, all are fun to drive. No need to argue about it so much. I got a 33 and a v8 one tonne ute. Both are great fun to drive! A car nut is a car nut... better then playing with barbie dolls..

I think maturity has alot to do with it. Its have the brains to stop and think and realise that spinning the wheels up, racing the car on the street and just generally acting like a d*ck on the road is not acceptable and if you want to do this, you have to face up to the consequence if you get caught. While I realise that people more then likely will just mod their car anyway or just drive a v8/turbo, thats their risk to take. I can certainly relate to people who say that they already drive a V8 or turbo and they are on their P's, as did my L's in a V8, and held my full 2yrs of P's driving a V8 and nvr had a accident and only got 1 speeding fine, but unfortunately not everyone is as smart as some of us, and therefore the government has to cater for everyone. When it boils down to it, if the government decides to do it all you can do is suck it in, stop whinging about it and just deal with it. Not everything in life can go your way. 2 years of driving a non turbo/v8 or however they want to distinguish it certainly wont do any damage and on the bright side it will save you a sh!t load on fuel! =)

LOL There is no harm watsever in bringing in these new laws. So what if p platers get stuck on 4 bangers/non turbo cars. If it doesnt make a difference, then nothing is lost If it does, then its great! less people dieing is always good.

Yep, if your one ur p plates, and u use all ur points.. you have to start again from the start... they pretty much cancel it. If your not on ur P plates, it simply gets suspended... meaning once you reach the date, you can jump back in your car and start driving again without having to do anything.

The thing behind the oil filter more then likely would be a sandwhich plate... and those wires are would be connected to gauges you have in your car... im guessing oil temp and oil pressure? Pics would be good... that way we could see and tell you possible solutions...

My car idles at around 700 when warm. With head lights on, it drops a bit to about 680. how do i know exact figures? Gotta love Apexi RSM. LOL 900-1000 rpm is very high for idle. Unless its started cold, then its normal for it to idle at that rpm for a few mins.
