  1. This might help you out.... http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/diagr...33-fusebox.html
  2. 99% brake fluid... if its flashes on and off this means that its getting low... but not low enough to stay on all the time... this might be because when you taking corners and the brake fluid is moving around causing it to flash. Best thing is to top it up~ and it should solve your problem. Use the same brake fluid as youve got in it already, which i would assume is DOT 4, as mixing is probably not the best thing. Or if your feel like doing some work then bleed the brake system with DOT 5.1 ^^.
  3. Any reason why you want coilovers but not the stiffness? Wouldnt it be easier/cheaper to go spring and shocks then...? Atm i am using HKS Hipermax D. THey are pretty good fully adjustable so im sure you could find a setting that would suit you. Ive also heard alot of cred about tien coilovers... you going to be using your sky for track work?
  4. +1 for white rims! i love white rims! haha... I got white buddy clubs on my r33. Def good style.
  5. Ive had my car tinted at tint a car.. They did offer me 20% and 5% even though they are illegal... But they didnt offer the warranty with it. Personally i think its best just to get the darkest legal tint you can get which is i think 35% (in W.A)... simply because skylines attract attention and it would be a pain to have to take it all off again and send your car to the pits to get the yellow sticker off.
  6. + 1 to bp ultimate.. I think its best to stick to this fuel... as most skyline drivers use it. Although whatever you choose to use, i think its best to stick with it and continue to use the same fuel, as said by someone above. Swapping between fuels all the time i personally dont think is good for your car...
  7. 255 isnt too wide. I like the look of the fatter wheels behind and the grip it has to offer. I would like 265 even better but the money for it is insannee!! haha... seen some skylines running 285.. now thats FAT and heavy on the wallet =( Also.. r338boy what suspension are you running? Im running hipermax D on the stiffest setting and profile of 40 isnt to bad in regards to the jar factor
  8. ive always used bp ultimate in mine and nothing else since import. Don think i will be changing now.. even tho 10 cents or so a litre cheaper is tempting. .. But the sky comes first so i think i will just pay it.. Maybe if you want give it a go, fill up half a tank and see how it goes... if it runs crap then u can fill up the other half with bp ultimate and hopefully that can improve it enough till it uses it all up? .. I know some skylines that run on Shell 95... and they seem to run ok... but for a ~10cents less a litre... is it really worth it? When the damage bill can be much higher...
  9. +1 i run 9 inch and use 255/40. 255 is wide enough plently of grip. What tyre brand you thinking off?
  10. thanks alot guys, i will be doing this on sunday... i will take photo as i go so we can make kinda a DIY on this. =) As for the raditor.. doesnt really matter im going to take it off anyway... got a brand new twin core alloy one. =D .*drooool*
  11. hey man. Try this one at your own risk... put ur car down on four wheels... if youve jacked it up. Put in the breaker bar, but put the breaker bar on an angle so its wedged/leaning onto the ground. Turn the engine over for a spilt second. Should give it enough turn to loosen the nut. make sure its facing the right way so ur loosening it not tightening it even more. THere should be enough power from turning the engine over to loosen it. However its quite risky doing this... so please do this as a last resort... and be careful!!! EDIT: oops i didnt realise ur engine is on a stand... i dont think this tip will work =/. sorry dude =(
  12. All these security measures are good. But still dont stop people from trying... a smashed window and a FUBARed dash is going to be nearly as painful as losing the car. I know you probably dont want to hear this but a good idea would be leaving the sky at home and trying to find another way to get there. Which i know would be hard since u start at 1.30am... Maybe a cheapo car that u use to work and home only? or unless since u working at the mall when its shut... park it inside the mall! . that way its locked up... haha it may be a long shot but who knows?
  13. in regards to bleeding the system i heard u just turn on the car for a bit with the cap off and the air will bubble out. THen you just keep topping up... Or have you got a different method? Thanks for all your help NA_goodness i really owe u on this one. oh and btw if i leave the heater on wouldnt it flatten my battery?
  14. So its just a plastic bung? i would of thought it mite be a taperd screw of some sort? .. wouldnt it fall out to easy if it was plastic ? .. would N/A be different to Turbo?
  15. Cheers for that ill take a look.. So i leave the heater on to let the coolant out of the heater hose... how long do i leave the heater on for?
  16. Hey guys, I am going to change radiator and hoses this upcoming weekend. Ive search thru the forums but i am unable to locate a picture of the drain plug which is apparently on the passenger side of the engine block somewhere near dump pipes? If someone could supply a picture... that would be alot appreciated. My car is a R33 GTS T. Also can someone explain to me about this heater on full to fully drain the system? Cheers, Brendan
  17. probably best to bring it to a suspension shop and ask them to have a look at it. Then they can tell you what exactly the problem is. And if you are quite mechanical you can fix it your self =)
  18. All done. Took approx 4.5 litres. Mint R33 you were correct, last time when i filled it up i didnt wait for the oil to come down back into the sump. This time i did and its all good! I ended up using mobil 1 5w-50w since i had one more bottle left. But i might start thinking about other oil at a later date. i.e closer to the next 5000k oil change. Haha.. yeah about the goods on oil... its just a massively long topic about which oil everyone thinks is better. I was kinda after the oil capcity rather then what oil to use . Thanks for all your help! Appreciated!
  19. Dam, Nvm ill just have to wait till they arrive then. And just do it once.
  20. Thanks guys... Does anyone know if i install the radiator now, and change the pipes when i recieve them how much coolant i will lose?
  21. hey guys, just got a new radiator and was thinking that i might as well change the hoses while im at it. was wondering where abouts in perth can i get the top and bottom hoses? and roughly how much are they? This is for an r33 btw. Cheers guys...
  22. Cheers mate. THanks for the info
  23. where do you get this royal purple oil from? Maybe i might give it a go... Or maybe the mobil 1 0 - 40...
  24. What oil are you using? .. I think i will change mine, but i got one more bottle left of mobil 1.. 5w - 50 w. So ill use it up. What do u mean let it settle down? After ive changed the oil or just normal checking of the oil ?
  25. Im pretty sure i put to much but i did start it up let the oil move to the filter and again top up... and it said 3/4 on the dip stick. Maybe its the mobil 1 oil? to thin when i put it in?
