  1. Was that reply to me? Cause i haven't received any pm yet.
  2. would you be able to pm me with a quote for slotted rotors front and rear (if you could keep these separate that would be great, cause im not sure if ill replace my rears or just machine them.. all depends on cost) for a R33 GTS T ? Could you also include quotes for the green and red ebc brake pads, again for a R33 GTS T. Thanks!
  3. Able to disclose the general direction of the cruise? I should be able to make it no problem =)
  4. so it times for me to change my pads... im quite confused on all this info thats been given out Ive usually leant towards bendix however, now due to the fact i got white p1s on my skyline the dust is going to be a problem... Ive been thinking QFM HPX...?? as my skyline is a street car which sees some skid pan actions maybe 2-3 times a year. Does anyone know where to source these in perth, western australia? Also i was thinking of changing my front discs to slotted ones and leave the rear as is.. It being a 1995 r33 gts t does anyone know the code number for a set of dba's? or rdas?
  5. You don't have wait for the first punch. If you felt that you were in danger its perfectly legal to do a preemptive strike. Hope it all works out.
  6. good result Kelvin. if you want info on the keypad alarms give me a pm ill give u a run down on how they work.
  7. i hate that to and the fact everyone crashes when it first starts to rain. Then i get held up in traffic... bullshit! and when trucks cut infront of me and i get all their spray. and also when poeple take forever to reverse out of a car park while taking up the WHOLE road. Forcing you to reverse back so they can go forward... turn ur steering wheel earlier and that wont happen! ><''. and thats it for now.
  8. they prob had to fill up somewhere to get that far...may checking video footage of petrol stations which are on the way to albany? maybe be able to get a face which you can point out? Just a idea..?
  9. It was a apartment break in...
  10. They took his keys... thats how it was Stolen. As ive been saying eariler.. get those pin number keypads installed people... IF you want info on them, PM me. Ill keep a look out for it kelvin... hope it all works out...
  11. u obviously had a manual car in the family/friends. Some of us didn't.
  12. Some people cant afford to get manual license... if they only have automatic cars that means all their lessons have to be done with an instructor which can be expensive. The money you save here can go into buying insurance and doing maintenance on your car. I went through a similar thing... not that i couldn't afford to pay an instructor.. id rather put that money into my car (wb v8 automatic ute at the time)... So my dad taught me to drive and i used his car to get me my automatic license. Then about 8 months later my friend bought a brand spanking new honda euro.. which he was kind enough to let me learn manual in... few months after i used my friends "modded" lancer and past my manual test... So instead of spending around $500 (avg for 10 lessons @ 50 bucks a pop... not to mention what he or she charges for car hire for the test) for driving lessons i did the test twice which from memory is 27 dollars per test. About a year later i bought my skyline... For me it was about saving $$$ so i could put it towards my car... If i had a manual car within the family i would of gotten my manual straight off... unfortunately most new cars these days are automatic, so there are many people which are in the same case as me. So there is nothing wrong with getting your automatic license to start of with...
  13. What about ur insurance? Not only comprehensive but 3rd party both to vehicle and persons..... not a smart idea mate.
  14. br3nd4n someone took brendan and br3ndan. =(
  15. ive had no problem with peddars in cannington... both with service and prices. Ive used them alot with my WB one tonne ute. And they do my wheel alignments for my skyline. However, WA Suspension probably has had alot more experience with skylines... so they may be able to help you better than peddars.
  16. so if thats the case i would connect the purple dimmer wire on the guage to the climate control and the red power wire to the ign wire or something similar?
  17. o i would put my money on the battery being rooted. IF a battery goes really flat it makes it so it cant hold its charge anymore.. What type of battery is it? (Brand etc)
  18. o cheers for the info my friend must of linked it to the wires going to the actual ciggie lighter .. not the circle light around it. so if i link a boost gauge to that wire it will dim it self at night?
  19. is it in a secure garage? if so just unplug the battery.. problem fixed!
  20. Is this a difficult thing to do?
  21. Hey Guys, So ive picked up a bunch of alpine gear. The following is what i got: Alpine Sub Type X 12 inch Alpine Amp MRV F345 (4 Channel) Alpine Amp MRD M1005 (Mono Amp) Alpine Headunit 7874EB (Yes its a bit old, but ive have it in my car already) Basically what i want to do is get some good front speakers... i was thinking (Following the Alpine theme) Alpine SPR-17S Type-R 6-1/2" Component 2-Way Speaker... Has anyone installed these into a R33 GTS T Door? Hows the mounting depth? From what ive seen on the forum the stock speakers are ~ 57mm. Where as these type Rs are 59mm. Would i need spacers? Are these more or less a drop in speaker upgrade? I think i will disconnect my rear speakers and just have front/tweaters and sub going. What do guys think?
  22. easily overloaded tho say u wire in power from the ciggie lighter then plug a GPS into the ciggie lighter can cause it to overload and blow the fuse.
  23. This is what my r33 costs me in regards to maintaince... upgrades is ontop of all of this. =) 10 to 12k for car Bought for 15k in 2007. 800 for a set of tyres a year minimum Paid 1000 for 4 new tyres + alignment in nov 2007, it is now June 2009 and ive still got great tread on them, so i doubt he will need 800 per yr as long as your not doing burn outs everywhere. 600 per year in rego $232 per 6 months.. so thats $464 for the year 160 bux a fortnight fuel if you take it easy I pay approx $45 dollars a week on BP Ultimate. Travel the odd ~250kms a week. (sometimes more sometimes less) 100 bux a fortnight on insurance or 2500/y $1450 for full yr insurance or $550 for third party + fire and theft 120 to 150 per service per 5000ks or 3 months if you do it yourself $108 for royal purple oil, $8 for ryco filter (For basic 5k service). Every few serivices i will also do rear diff oil - Castrol - $20 bucks. As for major servicing it cost me the following (For parts only, labour was done by me unless otherwise stated): Full engine and radiator coolant flush, replaced with Tech 100 - $70 bucks for 10 litres Bled and replaced brake fluid with DOT4 Castrol - $20 for 2 bottles Bled and replaced power steering fluid - $20 Bled and replaced gearbox fluid Redline Super light - $120 Bled and replace clutch fluid - $20 Changed Spark plugs with NGK irridums - $80 Changed Clutch with exedy cushion button - $585 + $600 for installion + servicing of gearbox (included changing all gaskets) 100 000km service - 900 (for parts and labour) Cleaning ACC with carby cleaner - $10 NGK 02 sensor - $75 Thats all i can think of atm in regards to basic servicing you will need to do with most r32/r33's Hope it helps.
  24. Are you able to tell me what colour the illumination wire is for my future reference? As no doubt ill end up buying something thats not auto dimming. Also ^^ Agreed on ECU... should of probably said that... When it comes to wiring.. if ur not sure best not to do it. As wiring problems can be a bitch to locate and fix! Or provide a few beers and call some sau people around
  25. Im not sure about the whole ignition harness.... but ive wired all my extra things to my ecu. This is because ive hooked up a Apexi Rsm previously so i knew where all the wires were down there. Basically all you need is to find the ign wire. It will most likely be red. You can get this from the ECU or have a look under ur dash. When you find a red wire that may be a ign wire. Cut it and use a volt meter to test if it has power. If it does, wire it in. Then look for a ground wire.. should be black and wire that in. THe last wire: being yellow, look for ur parker wires... im not sure about this one as all my equipment has auto dimming built in... but a bit of trial and error wouldnt hurt.. or someone on here will be able to let u know. May i ask why u wish to install a voltmeter? Many devices like RSM, SAFC as well as some turbo timers do tell you the Volts... as well as other features.
