im not 100% on this one, but maybe you need to install a fuel cut defender. ask a few tuning workshops about these fcds, and explain the problems youre having. Might be able to diagnose the problem that way...

An aftermarket air box can be hard to come across. A stock one would be much easier to find. Maybe you could muck around with the stock one and modify it to enclose the pod... But if its only just to clear your defect with the cops, just install the stock airbox temporarily. Once ya get rid of your defect, chuck the pod back on.

first off when pulled over: the blitz blow off valve. then once in regency: exhaust a couple of DB too loud child anchorage points inaccesible front ride height 30mm too low rear ride height 20mm too low bald rear tyres nothing unusual. they picked on the pettiest of things possible. the bald tyres were fair & square, but the rest shouldnt matter... they should concentrate on getting the old rust out snot boxes off the road rather than quality grey imports.

If you really want to go through a conversion to RWD, you'd be better off saving yourself the trouble and looking at GTS-Ts' rather than GTS-4s'. You'd be able to pick up a decent S2 GTST for maybe 14-17k sorry for not directly answering your questions by the way.
