  1. Hi Guys, Im having some real trouble with my car at the moment, its a 1993 RB25DET. Have recent rebuilt the motor with forgies, new rods, new plenum, bigger zuast and new cams etc etc... but its making less power than before, 268rwkw droped to around 230rwkw it should be making over 300 My tuner has pretty much put it down to that the cams havent been dailed in right, I wont say who put em in but what I need is the dail in sheets you get with the cams as I seem to have misplaced them. I contacted the recommeded HKS dealer in Aus but werent very helpful and pretty much said seeing you didnt buy em through us "stiff shit" so... The cams are HKS items 256deg\inlet 8.8 lift and 264deg\exhaust 9.0 lift. Im having this excate same problem atm, but im using HKS cams 256in/264ex the tuner seems to think the cams werent dailed in correct and I need the sheets that you get with the cams to check everything again as I seem to have missed placed them, ive done another thread for this if anyone can help me.   5. how did you do it then 2GU UP? Just remove it and let the line vent to atmosphere?

Im not doing this for performance gains at all just I have change my plenum to a forward facing item and havent got the 2 vaccum lines that used to go into the the standard intake, so now I really dont know what to do with it. there is 2 vacuumlines that used to going into the plenum and 2 or 3 lines going in so I dont really know where what goes. Its on an R33 GTS-t, so if anyone has done this to there car drop me a line so I can get rid of it. CHeers.

Hi, I’ve seen a post on here before about this but I can’t find it anywhere after doing numerous searches So ill just ask again What I wanted to know is how do I get rid of or re-rout that charcoal canister thing in front passenger side of the engine bay. If anyone knows how to do this or even know what im talkin about if you could help me out it would be great thanks. Cheers

  10. Hi Guys, Im coming up to Cairns, Brisbane, Surfers for a hoilday soon and I wanted to know if there any good shops up there where I can have a look at some race style bucket seats, eg sparco, recaro, bride etc.. Im from tassie and there is nothing down here!!! Cheers, Luke

  13. Its an EXTREME clutch its not really a buttton type clutch or a full face it kinda inbetween the two kinda, ill take a photo and post it up.

Car runs a MAP sensor so no AFM is used just a 4" intake pipe plus 4' exhaust, if I were to upgrade to a bigger turbo a tuned length custom manifold would be used, the head has been ported with uprated spring etc plus HKS cams with higher lift etc also plus a front facing intake plenum. So how do I go matching turbo with the engine and the power/responce im after?

  16. 253 @ f**k knows what revs, I wasnt really watching, according to the HKS turbo timer/rev speed meter in my car. How accuate that is I dont know.
  17. Hello everyone Just starting to piece my engine back together now (RB25DET) and ive got ARP head studs for it. Now Ive got the standard torque specs for it from the workshop manual but what about with the ARP studs as they didnt come with any specs etc.. Do the studs need to be torqued down and then the nut also after the head is on or just wind em in as far as they will go and then torque the head down?? plus what torque spec do you use, as I thought it would be a greater torque setting than standard??

  19. Sorry dude should have said my turbo is accually a 3037 Pro s, internal wastaged, not the external gated 3037s. My turbo has the .87(? I thinks ?) A/R T3 flanged exhaust housing. Righto these are the specs from the turbo we has mentioned straight off HKS USA website, now most of these number dont mean a great deal to me could someone please explain?? discopotato - why dont they look good on paper?   20. Hey guys Just wanted to know if anybody has ever used on of these turbos on an RB25?? I have a 3037s at moment and I think that will limit me to around 300rwkw and id really like to see 350+rwkw. I was thinking the 3240 would make this sort of power without having too much more lag than the 3037 :confused: All the necessary mod to support it like forgies, rods, cams, front facing plenum....... etc Thoughts anyone???
  21. No they are not suppose to crack but neither are the ones you pay $1000+ for but ive seen those crack also. You gotta remember you get what you pay for, I wouldnt pay $1000 for one of these mainfolds hell I wouldnt even pay $500 for one. I bought it cheap and I know its a cheap fairly crappy item but in my opinion its better than the standard oneand will do till I upgrade turbo or have the $1000 to get a full tuned lenght one, that may also crank in the long run anyway. but hey thats just my 2c
