Hey guys, Haven't checked this thread for a while so i thought i would stop in. We finally got a house down there, but it is going to suck getting use to cold weather, bit differen't from the sunny coast. The house is in Gungahlin, so hopefully we are not to far out from everywhere.

Yeah thanks for the advice i think i might just get the repairs done and just pay to get any other bits fixed at the same time out of my pocket. I would hate to think i pay to get the whole car resrayed and someone does the same thing. Man if i seen a girl/guy doing that to mine or anyones car for that matter

Can't because the police report said what damage was done as will the police photo's. Hopefully the insurance company will give me a cheque as my policy says that i can choose who i want to do the job then just pay the extra onto of that.

Thanks for the info, i'am thinking i might be better off getting the quote and the money off the insurance company and just paying the extra and painting the entire car. At least then i get a full repray from the whole thing.

Yeah i know what your are saying but at the monment i'am still better off as i have only had my car for 7 months so all up i have payed $1600 a year premium and will have to pay $1400 excess and they are going to have to spray the entire bonnet and the entire left side of the car as the scratch mark is deep, like to the metal, so i'am not sure how much it will cost to fix. I might be better off getting the whole car done in a different colour and me paying whatever extra it will cost.

Hey guys, What did everyone get up too last night? I came out to my car and found that someone wanted to key my car. It goes from on the bonnet in circles all the way down to the passenger side to just past the rear wheel. It is f**ked have to pay $1400.00 excess and then pay a extra $400.00 next year. Why?

That is expensive how many lines do you need, i just want to get the lines and fittings to get rid of most of the rubber hoses showing on the top of the motor and around it?

Hey guys just wondering if anyone in the area (sunny coast or brisbane) have had braided engine lines made up? If so where? and How much? Looking to tidy up engine bay so any help would be great? Would even be interested in getting some online if that is the only place they are available Need them so i can but my plenum on at the same time.

It's a objective opinion it isn't suppose to be right or wrong, just stated what i have heard and my opinion. But the Uni staff should not be saying that to students. Especially with Labour in Now (I did 2 years and just had started my third) When i was at Uni there were heaps of jobs in my field available, and i would have found a job quite easily. But each to his own, that the joy of a discusson. Anyway back to cars.

-1 Don't agree, with the Band that the Sunshine Coast Uni is on, it is much harder to get a job compared to other Uni's students such as Brisbane's, espicially when competing for the same job. A friend had to repeat his entire first year at a Brisbane Uni as higher band Uni's dont count your courses it all depends on the Uni bands, some of the guys i worked with at Myer a year ago all had degree's in Business or some COMMON area and could not get jobs. If you go for a position or career that has a shortage (teacher, doctor, nurse or Engineer)then you are much more likely to find work in a month after study, but then again it might not be what you want to do. The best thing about USC is it's connections with the Sunshine Coast area it will be much easyer for you to find a job in the Sunshine Coast area, as well as giving you work experiance, which in turn could lead to a job, so if it is your plan to stay on the coast it would make sense to study there as it would not matter where you went. Also staff at the Uni would say that to its students, you studing there is paying there wages the more students the better for the Uni and it's staff will be. Would you continue studing there if they told you the possibility of a job after 3 years of hard work and no money, might get you a job or you have a chance of getting a job, you want guarantee’s. But USC is getting more Recognized as time goes on. P.S- sorry for going on got nothin better to do just packing for the move.

I wen't out to USC and studied Education for a year changed too business as i didn't know what i wanted to do, now i have dropped Uni as i move to ACT in 4 weeks and start work for the family business in Canberra as they bought the ACT franchise. But it is worth it, but only if you are 100% sure you know what you are going to do, other wise you will just end up with a HEC bill you don't want. Find something you like and talk to the guidence people at Uni they know all the courses and might inform you of a course or career you never knew.

Not much happens in this forum, leaving Canbeera now but we did end up finding a house after days of looking so that was the best thing. It was not what i was expecting but was ok. I should be back down soon with some of my friends to head out.
