Yea, I was about to start saving for a new car as i'm a bit over the turbo lag on my R33 GTS-T with KKR 560 and wouldn't mind a newer car.... However, GTX3071 could be enough to change all that If i've already got injectors/front mount/z32/fuel pump/power fc/locked diff, do you think theres anything else i should invest in while getting a GTX3071, like a forward facing plenum or exhaust cam gears, a new manifold or poncams or anything? Just in a value-for-money reduce lag kinda way? EDIT: This seems to be the only GTX3071 with T3 and Internal wastegate i can find. Do I just use the stock RB25 style dump pipe or is that a different 5 bolt design? Am I crazy choosing this over spending heaps more to go external gate?

Stock Turbo : R33 Gtr Vs R34 Gtr, What's The Difference?
islade replied to Andrew.Y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'd imagine ball bearing units would spool up faster. Weather they made the same power or more/less would depend on other factors, which i'm sure someone much more knowledgeable will fill us in soon -
Hi guys I'm wanting to put a series 2 cluster into my series 1. Assuming both cars are manual, is it a straight swap job, or is it not going to work? Previously when the car was first converted to manual, the speedo displayed half the actual speed until i put a manual cluster in, so i was just checking that things didn't change again for series 2?

Would you post the sideskirts and rear bar? If so, how much for postage to gold coast, qld 4212? -
What exhaust housing and dump pipe combo would be best for a responsive RB25 setup? I'd prefer something that bolts onto factory front pipe if possible, but not required
-
What would be the recommended configuration to get if i wanted to get an internal gate gtx3071, should i go 63, 82, or 1.06, and what dump pipe? Wanting maximum response and 250-275kw

When do you think these turbos will be available?
-
Just thought I'd throw out the offer. I've got an alpine CD player I bought last year from JB HI FI. has ipod input, usb input, all of that, think it cost $350. Interested in a swap and $300, i'll come to you?

<<Thread Hijack Alert>> I've got a KKR560 on my car. I've had the wastegate hole made bigger etc, so it doesn't have the overboosting problem anymore. How much would it cost to get it rebuild as a ball bearing unit? I'm assuming that will just bolt straight back on with no modifications? The turbo is only oil-cooled (not water-cooled)

Hi, i'm on the coast. I think it would cost too much to paint and fit these, but i'm kinda curious... what brand are they? do you have any pics of what they look like installed on a car? Where did you get them from? -

Hi dude, very interested in the z32 and injectors. Have you had the injectors flow tested, and what can you tell me about them? I was going to SMS you but it's 1am an I didn't wanna wake you up. I'm on the gold coast, could you arrange for postage? I don't need the rails. Also interested in the gauges and dual gauge pillar mount. What psi does it read up to? My number is 0421517163 if u prefer SMS -
Hey guys, With the 3071, which is the best housing to get for an RB25? I figure that I don't want more than 275kw as it's a 1993 engine with stock internals, so i might as well get the one most responsive to around that figure. Also, I'm guessing that these take the "normal rb turbo" style dump pipe? I've got a different v band sorta deal on at the moment (that's what the kkr turbo uses), so i'd need to buy one, do i just grab a dump pipe to suit a standard rb turbo or do i need a special garrett fitting? If it's a normal nissan one, i'm guessing that there is no problems using a screamer pipe? Is the 3071 with a different dump fitting a much better turbo? if so, i'd go that option, as I need to purchase a dump pipe either way (as long as it fits up with my front pipe, i'm happy) Thanks guys

Hi, guys I've got a 220kw R33 GTS-T, and i'm thinking of getting injectors/afm/tune to get 270kw. I'd love to be a passenger in a 270kw car and see how much faster it is, before dropping cash for 20% more power An RB25 powered weapon would be perfect, but I guess an RB20 would be close enough as well? I'm on the Gold Coast, if that helps

Hey guys, similar question i thought you may be able to answer: One turbo, running in a 220kw tune (injector and afm limited), vs the same setup, but with injectors and obviously a bit more boost (profec b) for 270kw. Obviously off boost performance is identical, and full boost performance is waaay better, but what's the "in between" area like? I used to have an MR2 years ago, and when boost was turned down, it was linear and boring, and with boost up, it was epic fun, but felt like it had a shitload more midrange. So i'm wondering, when i get injectors and a tune, is it likely to be a lot more midrange, or just top end stuff, it's a really laggy turbo i can't afford to replace yet (KKR560). I'd imagine it would seem more "responsive" as the wastegate would stay shut for longer before hitting full boost? I'm just poor at the moment, but think i can afford injectors and a tune by the end of the year, as a present to myself, and want to make sure that the performance jump is as epic as i am expecting it to be Gavin Woods will be doing the tune, as he's a champion
