  1. Heres a pic! I'm guessing i gotta move the silver end cap thingy to the spring side of the notches, then put the little round metal clip on a notch.. the notches further away from the spring lowering the car more? I have no idea, i'm just guessing here, does that sound right?
  2. Hi guys, I just got some second hand TEIN TYPE NR suspension for my car. Going to be putting it in tomorrow or saturday. I've done many a google search and forum search, i can't find instructions on how to actually adjust the height, although i know it's possible. Do you need a special tool for this? Can anybody explain how? I'll post up pictures of the suspension if that helps?
  3. It's a KKR560, Front Mount Cooler, Bosch Intank 040, Greddy Profec B Spec 2, Apexi SAFC2, Tomei Fuel Reg, High Flow exhaust.
  4. Injectors and Spark Plugs haven't been touched since it was working fine a month ago. I've put in a bosch 040 pump, could that have changed anything?
  5. Hey guys, I've noticed recently that my car takes a long time to start. I've put on a turbo, intercooler, had a quick tune at gavin woods, so somewhere in there something has happened. Everything works perfectly, but i used to turn the key for a quarter of a second and get it started, now i'm sitting there for a few seconds while the starter motor keeps trying to get it started, sorta like if you have a low battery, but i've only had this battery a few months and i've done a few highway runs so i know it would have good charge (and it's not doing 'slow' starter motor sounds). What could this be? I've tried searching for a few terms but can't find anything helpful. Thanks
  6. Hey guys, just giving an update I've pulled the turbo off again. Going to drop it in today. With my highly technical 'wiggling wastegate with actuator disconnected' testing methadology, I've discovered the most of the time it opens and closes fine. Sometimes when it goes to close, the bottom of the wastegate flap gets caught on the inside of the wastegate hole, meaning the gate can never close all the way. No matter how hard you try to close it, it won't close then, as it's jammed. If you open it up and close it again, your OK, but obviously my actuator wouldn't be doing that I'll let you guys know how it goes
  7. Only reason I'm reluctant to go external gate is the cost. I'll pull turbo off one more time, return it to Mr Turbo and get them to check out the wastegate again, because they had already removed and refitted the wastegate once. If not, i'll evaluate the external gate VS new turbo thing
  8. Just rang Gavin. He said he disconnected the actuator from the wastegate, and played with the wastegate itself, and it was still sticking. So i think the bent actuator rod could definately help, but i probably need to take the turbo back in to get checked out, because there's nothing i could do if the wastegate itself is getting stuck
  9. Will let you know tomorrow, will drop car back in to gavin woods. I just gave it a test thrash (although in the rain so i couldn't go too hard) and everything appears to be okay
  10. Hey guys, I just bent the actuator rod instead of moving the actuator bracket. Hooked a compressor up, and ran it from 0 to 15 PSI and watched it open, the rod stayed in the middle (moving ever so slightly) for the full range of motion (getting nowhere near the sides of the actuator. I've attached a pic, let me know what you think, i should find out tomorrow If it's any help, i can upload a video of it slowly opening (air compressor power) if you guys think you can provide more feedback that way? Thanks Isaac
  11. Thanks skyline01999 I am going to do this tonight Really simple question, how do i disconnect the actuator from the wastegate? I can see the screw/thread in the middle, but i'd imagine if that was loosened, thread would still be screwed into the wastegate side rod? If that makes sense? Also, I have an actuator from my stock RB25 turbo, if this didn't fix the problem, would it be worth trying that one on there, or get another actuator from somewhere? Isaac
  12. Hey guys, Just for reference... OTOMOTO guy refering to 'bending actuator arm', but not saying what actually needs to be done http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=1987194 EXTERNAL GATED KKR http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=4249470 lowRB, the wastegate hole has already been made considerably bigger by Mr Turbo... not saying it's big enough, but that's not the issue i'm having at the moment. I'd still love pictures of yours (unless that's yours i've linked to), as if it's done, it will be home job Skyline01999, can't wait for the info, thanks again
  13. Do I want more info? HELL YES Just throw me as much info as possible, I'll hopefully be able to do it tonight, and then if that doesn't work, I will have to explore these other options If you want to Email me, my address is above, or post in this thread (in case somebody else has this problem in future) Thanks, dude Isaac
  14. Do you have any pics of your external gate install? I'd love to see them, you running screamer or back into exhaust? More pics the better, as I'm trying to weigh up my options and a bit of this would be DIY EDIT: my email is studioibi AT gmail DOT com
  15. Hey guys, I bought this KKR560 Turbo. It was installed then taken to Gavin Woods. He said it was overboosting because the wastegate was sticking. I took it to Mr Turbo, who has bored out exhaust housing, enlarged wastegate, and now it looks like it should work perfectly. Back to gavin, aparently the wastegate is still sticking half way, so it either overboosts or never hits boost, u can wiggle it and then goes back to working before sticking again. I've looked at it, and wondering if the wastegate actuator is on too much of an angle to be able to work effectively? Can I bend the arm or bend the actuator mount? Any feedback would be great Thanks
  16. I've posted in one other FAST thread, but this one seems more popular, it's my baby of 2 years,so I'll ask here as well, i'd love a screen shot (here or email isaac AT islade DOT com) 6U9000ECR33009874 Thanks
  17. This is my baby of 18 months now. I'd love to know whatever fast can tell me about it (it's been repainted and converted to manual, but i don't know what options etc it had from factory) Either a screenshot (isaac AT islade DOT com) or just post details here, i don't mind 6U9000ECR33009874 Thanks
  18. Hey, Do you have any pics of this on the car, or at least pics from the 'front' rather than the top? Thanks Isaac
  19. <tries to rhyme> Fast me, baibee! 6U9000ECR33009874 I've had the car for 18 months, just wanting to know everything about it (maybe a screenshot?) If u gotta email it, isaac AT islade DOT com Thanks
  20. Hey-ya guys, 1993 R33 GTS-T I've had my car off the road for a month to do a turbo swap, it's all up and running now Anyway, everything is perfect, except the heating is *barely* above ambient temperature. It must be something I have done. However, here's what i have done [ ] Pull out aircon control unit. The 'auto' button was broken, so i fixed that, i'm sure i plugged it in correctly when i put it back in the car (and air con/face/feet/demist everything else works fine) [ ] Install Profec B Boost controller.. I ran the cable to the valve through the same place that my boost guage hose goes, which i believe is where an air con cable goes? [ ] New radiator, i read somewhere that if there is not enough coolant, heating won't work? [ ] New turbo. I blocked off the water feed and water return lines, do i need to connect them to bypass the turbo or is this okay? I've done a quick check over everything, and I can't seem to find the problem. What can I do? Thanks
  21. Hi, Interested in boss kit, but i don't get paid for 9 days, if it's still available then, I'll take it from you. How much would it cost to post it to Gold Coast, QLD (4212)?
  22. New hoses. I think it would be the 'blocked off third hole' that caused it, from rereading the instructions. I'll post back and let you know once tested... If i don't reply.... it worked and i'm having too much fun boostin'
  23. Yea, positive There is a third 'air hole' that is covered, i think it's used if you have an external gate, but the instructions say (after re-reading them) to remove covers off all holes, so i've removed that, will test drive this afternoon to check
  24. Hey guys, I just installed a profec B spec 2 boost controller in my car. The solenoid is definately connected to the wastegate and the 'compressor nipple' (which was working fine at 8psi without solenoid so i know its a good source) Power is connected, the unit lights up, and appears to be working properly. Boost source to controller is good, it's connected with a Y piece to the boost guage right beside it, and the profec shows the correct boost level. The cable that goes unit->solenoid is definately plugged into the back of the unit and the solenoid. I've put the unit on hi, and turned it up to 50% without changing other settings, but it still just sits at 8psi. In case i'm a retard and did it wrong, i swapped the hoses into the solenoid, but this also made no difference What can I do to troubleshoot? Thanks, Isaac
  25. Sorry guys, it's a 1993 R33 Skyline GTS-T (RB25DET) It's been tuned previously by gavin woods when at 10psi with SAFCII and that's when it got 150kw
