  1. Hi guys, Putting on an external gate GT3076 0.82 in the next few days. Got a PFC, Z32, 480cc injectors, bosch 040, splitfires. I'm obviously going to have to get a tune from my favourite man in the world, Gavin Wood. I've just been browsing the E85 threads i found with a search, and it looks to me like I might be able to buy some bigger injectors (and maybe a bigger fuel pump?) and then go for an E85 tune, as there is an E85 petrol station 10 mins from my house. From my reading, lots of people seem to think i don't need new fuel lines or anything, just regular fuel filter replacements for a little while. Others seem to think it will melt my fuel lines, then the whole car itself, til i'm left with just a puddle of skyline in my garage. Is there much benefit to going to E85 for a 99% street car? I was going to get it tuned at around 280kw (1993 unopened rb25, so i don't wanna push it too hard), but from what i've read, looks like tuning for 300kw with E85 wouldn't be any more strain on the engine, while giving me more peak power and more midrange torque. The next logical step is to talk to my tuner about it, but it's 9:15pm, so it's gonna be 12 hours before that happens. I'm fully aware of the 25 perfect more fuel usage and 20c cheaper per litre, but i'm okay with that
  2. I've got a set of 18"s with Federal 595 tyres all round, tyres are in really good condition, just bought the fronts a few months ago... i'm looking to upgrade to 19's so if you want, send me a PM. they are the wheels in my avatar <---
  3. I just saw this post, when is the next one?
  4. My plastics are really "new" still, not faded or yellow, so i was more interested in the "sweet LED and HID" part of this deal, but the glass should be good too. How different would glass look compared to excellent condition/polished plastic? Obviously it wouldn't fade over time, but i'm wondering if it's worth the cost
  5. Would you seperate just the plazmaman plenum? Can I use my factory throttle body? If not, can I get a price including the 80mm throttle body?
  6. So should I order a factory nissan gasket or something else?
  7. If the plenum is still for sale. what brand is it?
  8. Hi, interested in the greddy style plenum. How much would it cost with postage to Pacific Pines, QLD 4211.. does it come with all the hoses and bits and pieces? (EG: like what is included in the vulture motorsports kit for sale in the trader section) or is just the bare manifold?
  9. Naah, it's the cold start hose that goes from just before the blowoff valve, straight to the plenum, it's a hard black hose about 1" thick that is between the intake pipe and the firewall
  10. Very good advice What would be a safe distance from manifold to that hose? Eg: if it cleared by 10mm would the heat eventually melt the hose?
  11. Sorry to be a pain, i've just been reading up alot on the greddy-copy plenums. So most seem to be okay if you shave/machine the surface where the gasket goes to make sure it's fully flat. Has that already been done to these, or are you sure it's perfectly flat? I'm sorry if that's just a re-wording of the last question i asked, i just really want to make sure i get this done right first time, without having to remove it after fitting to get it machined or whatever
  12. Hey guys, just bought this exhaust manifold: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=317701 and realised that he's running a front facing plenum, which i'm not, so i assume this hose will be in the way (see attached image) what would you guys recommend i do to move him? I wasn't keen on the greddy copy manifold due to shorter runners = decreased low down torque, and i can't afford a plazmaman plenum. I'm thinking of doing that "shorter intake piping" http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=310091 and figuring it out that way, or is there a better way?
  13. how much for just rear seats posted to Pacific Pines, QLD 4211
  14. Hi guys, My R33 has a stock-internal motor (ie: not rebuilt) and a GT3076 0.82. If I wanted to switch to E85, do I just need to grab some 740's (only got 480's at the moment) and get a tune? I've got an 040 intank and a powerFC and big fat sard reg. If I turned up the reg a tiny bit, what would the 480CC S15 injectors max out at with E85? I'm guessing about 220kw?
  15. Are these for a R33?
  16. Cool, thanks guys I don't have any money to spend, but I would have found a way if there was something I needed I just didn't want to spend money on a tune, then decide there were a few more little things i need, and then not get the full value from the tune
  17. Sorry, didn't mean it like that, it's obviously got a dump pipe I meant, it's not like it's got the stock restrictive style dump on there, if it's already got a garrett 3" 4 bolt style dump, how much could it be improved?
  18. It's 4 bolt rear housing on the garrett, so i am guessing that's good enough when you ask what type of dump? Clutch is an exedy cushion button, but like 2 years old now
  19. Yea, i have the "snake-spec" intercooler piping I was worried about losing low down torque with a greddy-style plenum due to the shorter runners, and i am too cheap for a plazmaman, and i'm worried about leaning out rear cylinders with a cut-n-shut job
  20. That's only 10 minutes from my house Is it just the E-FLEX fuel, or is it something else? What's the usual price per litre for E85? If it's not too much more than regular fuel, i might look into doing an E85 conversion
  21. I'm on the Gold Coast. Is there any easy way for me to get E85 yet? I'm guessing nowhere sells it locally yet and i'd need to stock up on it or something? So impractical for a daily driver?
  22. I have no idea if the intercooler is good or not. I got it from Rolin Imports as a kit for $400 or 500 or something a few years back. How can i tell if it's a good one? Gavin Woods (autotech) will be doing the tuning
  23. If you ever planning on doing more mods, you end up needing a front mount later so you might as well get it done right first time However, if you can get a sidemount for $50, and install it for free, i guess you could always on-sell it when the time comes to upgrade, and then it hasn't really cost you anything?
  24. I am not 100% sure but i thought auto was 4.3 or something, so i'd have more acceleration and less top end?
  25. Sorry, probably should have mentioned that. Standard head and bottom end, no other mods aside from those listed, never been rebuilt or anything
