  1. Thanks for your help guys, Nobody local has these RIMS in stock, so i'm planning to order them through tempe tyres for $250 each plus $15 postage. I just shot them off an Email, asking if I can return a rim i've purchased and swap it for the same wheel in a different offset, if they are okay with that, then i have nothing to lose The D1R's are available in 0, 15, and 22 offset, i think i can easily do 22 all round, maybe 15, and i'm dreaming of 0 If you guys were taking a guess, which one would you guesstimate for best fitment?
  2. I haven't measured it. I'd say it would have the same clearance as any R33 GTST with a good rolling job, but the flaring isn't really visible so i'd say bugger-all flare-age
  3. Well, I've got 235's front and 245's back on ugly 18x8 rims at the moment. Want to get new wheels, coz these ones are ugly, and i'm in love with D1R's I love epic offset, just looks awesome, and I want 10"s all round so i have nice dish on the front too. I also want to keep current tyres because they have heaps of tread still on them. If 245/255/265 fit on the front without problem, i'll get them when i need new tyres
  4. Just wondering how you guys went with 18x10" on the front? I've got rolled guards
  5. Okay, thanks guys.. I've had the fronts rolled and very slightly flared, but the flaring is almost not visible. What offset for 18x10's on the front? 235/40 tyres I'd love a looky-see
  6. Hi, guys I want to get some D1R in 18x10. Nowhere local has them though, so i have to order them from interstate, what offset can I get away with?
  7. i'm guessing these ended up selling?
  8. Hi guys, interested in getting some 18" rims somewhere between 10 and 11 inches wide, to use with my existing tires (235/40 front, 245/40 back) I've just had my guards rolled and flared. I have a little bit of cleanup to do on the sides (didn't quite roll down far enough), but what offset do you think i could run safely on the rears, i've attached a few pics so you can see how flared it is. I'm not trying to win an offset competition, just want something that looks nice I can't find much information about wheel fitment with flared guards, so if there is a thread that my search didn't find, your welcome to just post the link Thanks, guys
  9. Hey guys Getting a GT3076 on stock RB25 manifold, so I need to get oil and water lines I've seen some eBay kits going from $90 inc post, and then i've seen other kits advertised for $220 Car is a street car that i drive daily, so I don't want to cheap out, but at the same time, it's not really exposed to harsh track conditions. What kit do you guys recommend?
  10. Hi guys, Always been dreaming of an RB30 conversion, but my engine hasn't died yet, and i couldn't really afford to do it. Anyway, a friend of mine is donating me a GT3076 turbo in a few weeks, so i'm going to have to get a tune after i install it myself. I was just cruising the forums and found this... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/349494-95-r33-gtst-rb3025/page__p__5616078#entry5616078 The seller is happy to sell me the engine by itself, without manifolds or anything else i would already have on my R33 GTST. My questions are: 1) aside from a working RB30 engine, what other parts would I need? I know a GT3076 wouldn't be the best turbo option, but i'd love the responsiveness of it, rather than aim for peak power. I've already got injectors, powerfc, front mount etc 2) has anybody heard of 'dugan engineering'? That's who built this engine, wondering if they have a reputation on this forum? I couldn't find anything with a google search or forum search 3) assuming i've got the motor, and whatever other parts were mentioned in response to question one, i should just have to pull out the old engine, possibly make new mounts, drop this in, and go get a tune? Thanks alot guys, I've read the PDF, which was very helpful, but mainly aimed at building one yourself, and this is already built If anybody had any other advice, i'm happy to converse in this thread or via PM Isaac
  11. Hi, how much just for the engine without manifolds or turbo or anything, just what i need to replace the rb25 in my 33 so i can go 3L, and where are you located?
  12. I'm interested in the HKS exhaust cam if you are willing to seperate
  13. Hate to ask a dumb question, but exactly what effect will these brakes have over standard GTS-T brakes with decent pad's and rotors? I find that the few times i can't stop quick enough, it's because the wheels have locked up, not because of brake fade, so it's more of a traction issue than a brake issue. I also haven't been to the track yet so have never felt brake fade. I'm guessing these are only useful on a track car, right?
  14. Hey, guys Sorry for the delayed reply... Car wasn't light painted, it was just a photo i took. it was in the garage (obviously) and that might be the afternoon sun coming in from outside? Once in photoshop, i just adjusted colors to make the background bluer so the car stands out more, then did heaps of sharpening, and painted in the sharpening, so the whole image wasn't oversharpened, just parts of it. Car is just half prepped for paint, as far as i know, wheels aren't bent (hopefully)
  15. Hi guys, Item For Sale: KKR560 Turbo and Dump Pipe, V-band Clamp, and Oil Lines Reason For Sale: Upgrading to external gate GT3076 that a friend sold to me for the right price Availability: Turbo will be removed around 17th of January, so if you want to come test drive it while it's still on my car, just give me a call Installation Instructions: I installed it two years ago, but pretty sure you will just need a few silicon joiners and stuff to replace the stock turbo, and use stock oil return line. This turbo is not water cooled, so you can block those off. I followed a tutorial i found on this site to get it installed, and has gone 2 years without troubles Price: $500 pickup, or buyer pays postage.. or make me an offer, as this is no longer needed Location: Gold Coast, QLD ------- Hi guys, I bought this turbo when it was only a few months old off the SAU forum about 2 years ago. It had been purchased from AutoBarn two months prior. From the start, it had boost control issues, like most KKR turbos. I took it to MR turbo, who removed the "twin scroll partition" from the exhaust housing, as the wastegate was only able to vent gases from 3 cyl instead of all 6. It still had boost control issues after reinstalling, so i took it off again, and they made the wastegate hole much larger, and machined a whole bunch of the housing out to get the flow going to the wastegate with less resistance (instead of the 90 degree angle). Since then, it has been absolutely perfect! I definitely wouldn't buy another KKR turbo unless you were planning on doing these modifications, but once done, the turbo is amazing! When i bought it, i got an oil line with it, used that to install it, plugging in to stock oil return line. Water lines were blocked off, and I rearranged stock piping and everything worked fine (i installed a front mount at the same time) Car was making 220kw with this turbo, limited by stock AFM and injectors. I recently got some S15 injectors and a Z32 and have tuned the car for 250kw at 16psi. I didn't wanna go higher as i don't know how healthy my engine is, but i have seen these turbos doing 300-320kw on other RB25 setups. Anyway, a friend no longer needs his external gate GT3076 so that's going to me, so i will no longer need this turbo. We were just re-fibreglassing my front bar yesterday, as the car is going to be painted, so the thin layer of stuff on the turbo is sanded back fibreglass, it doesn't look that old/rusty in person, only on camera for some reason If you have any questions, just ask in this thread so they get answered and everybody can see the answer, or just give me a call on 0421517163 Isaac
  16. Would you sell just the exhaust cam gear seperately?
  17. Hi, guys Similar question, so thought i'd be better off hijacking than starting a new thread... I currently have a KKR turbo, with it's own special oil feed and return lines, and it's not water cooled. I'm going to go to a GT3076 on stock manifold next week, where should I buy oil and water lines from? I heard going the eBay route was a bad idea? I don't need anything super-amazing, just whatever gets the job done properly Isaac
  18. Congrats, that's f**king awesome
  19. interested in sunroof and mirrors, what color are the mirrors and do all the electronics work fine, and is the mirror surface itself scratched, or all good?
  20. Hey guys, Getting my car ready to be painted. Just took this as a work-in-progress shot after installing body kit. My baby gonna be sexy... but ain't there yet Thought it would be an awesome idea to have a thread with photos of nice cars when they are in the not-quite-pretty-yet phase. I'm gonna go XR5 orange next month! Isaac
  21. Does this have normal r33 rails or something different to suit the s15?
  22. I'd do $200 posted to gold coast for passenger seat if you wanted some Pre-Xmas money
  23. Hey, thought I'd help out the sale as I was interested in this as well and had made contact with the seller: Ex gate no dump or lines, 4 bolt dump.
  24. Last question, I promise! What do you guys think a GTX3071 with a 0.82 housing will cost when they are available in Australia? I'm trying to decide if I should get one from the US now, or be patient. If it doesn't save me any money going local, I might place this order today. I won't be getting the manifold to suit until mid January, so I guess I could wait and see, but given that there isn't high availability of GTX3071 overseas yet (ATP has no stock, RSP has 1 left), i don't know what australian supplies will be like, or if there will be the limited-supply overcharges
