  1. I've had a muffler added where the crossover existed previously. (twin 2 1/2in and twin 2 1/2 out. ) It's still a bit too noisy so I guess the next step is to change the rear mufflers. I can't be 100% sure but I think the muffler in place of the split has improved performance, especially higer in the rev range. Is it possible that the split was restrictive? Yes, it is WilliamsF1 car, now in Perth.
  2. Nismoid, what do you think of the centre muffler idea as opposed to your two new rear mufflers?
  3. Yep, it's a GTR R32. Ok, so it seems that I need to replace the existing mufflers with 2 decent big ones. The guy at the exhaust shop wanted to put in a single big muffler in the middle where the crossover is. Will that make the car sound wierd?
  4. Hey Guys I got my dream car but it's far too loud! Some specs - TRUST extended split dumps EXHAUST TECHNOLOGY custom twin system with Apexi valve and custom cross over pipe... Pic of split System Pic of tail pipes What is my best option for quitening the car down without ruining the performance? I'd also prefer to keep the tail pipes rather than go for a single big drain pipe. Thankyou..
  5. Hey Guys I bought a car in Adelaide and it failed to clear the vehicle inspection here in WA due to the aftermarket suspension not having enough travel. Anyway, I've sourced a second hand standard suspension for $250. I'd prefer not to make the purchase if its' faulty or going to give the guys at the pits another reason to keep me from driving the car. What should I be on the lookout for? The guy at the wreckers asked if it I needed white or I think silver. What did he mean? Thankyou
  6. No oil :laughing-smiley-014: Thanks for the info
  7. East Perth Pits..... I could tell that the inspector did not appreciate the car.
  8. I've just bought a GTR R32 & I'm concerned with overheating as I can hear the radiator bubbling after going for a normal drive. The temp guage sits at around half. What should I expect in the way of operating temps?
  9. My GTR R32 arrived from Adelaide yesterday and I had it at the pits within hours, trouble is, it didn't make it.... Guages Pod at eye level (happy for them to go) Leaks round CV boots Leak by diff Leak by steering box Tien suspension - Not enough travel. Seems f**king unfair! Crappy tint (happy for it to go) Radiator not secured at the top (Boostworx put it in just before car was sold. Anyway I guess thats what a car sold on the basis of an unlimited maint budget and inspection from Boostworx in Adelaide gets you. How does it go? Very sweet with the few k's I've done so far.. Main question, where can I get the suspension & leaks fixed asap? Got a booking at Hyperdrive on 3rd of December but I'd prefer to be driving the car sooner!
  10. Yep, we pay additional car duties here so as to keep a dying car industry propped up.
  11. Got done in exactly the same way & probably the same place many years ago. Invest in a decent radar detector & save yourself the pain in future....I do feel for you though.
  12. I'm importing a GTR R32 from Adelaide to Perth and the vendor has had the car inspected at BOOSTWORX for me. Can anyone give me a heads up on this garage?
  13. With reference to http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t189026.html Changes to Vehicle Modification regulations - are the wheels from a GTR R34 on the R32 going to exceed the DPI track spec? Are the bigger 6 pot brakes going to cause a problem? I don't really want to have to change everything just to suit the pits
  14. I thought I better get some opinions before I finalise the purchase of this GTR R32 -See specs at Car Sales Are there any obvious mods on the car that are going to make it difficult to get it registered here in WA? I had to get my last car over the pits (modified s13) and never had a problem, but then it never had an oil catch can, battery in the boot, monster brakes etc..All information appreciated.
