Just got my DBA rotors fitted, have been researching and found people have hair line cracks in them. But from everything I've read and found it's only happens on track. I only street my car so something like that should never happen right?

Hi mate, sorry it's a hard copy.

The Giant Alignment Thread
GD2ILA replied to turbo_brian's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nissan Japan has just emailed me the factory wheel alignment specs for R34GTR/V-Spec/N1. I have attached it for future reference to help others. R34 alignment.pdf -
just checked my user manual. Switch is the WIPER DE-ICER: from manual, the front windscreen is heated and the snow around the edges will melt. auto off after 15mins.

The Giant Alignment Thread
GD2ILA replied to turbo_brian's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I have been searching for about an hour but the only info i can find for factory wheel alignment specifications are for R32GTR/R34 Service Manual as per attached image i made, does any one know what the standard wheel alignment specs are for an R34 GTR V-Spec? -
i realised it's one of those how long is a piece of string questions, but Ash answered my question "IMO expecting stock GTR turbos to last 100k kms in a modified state is begging for trouble and failure, which can take the motor with it.". From new to 125,000km car has been perfect but lately things are starting to die as my km are getting higher now eg. split boots/cv shaft/just got new brake rotors, what else is likely to go? what else should i look out for hence the question regarding turbo.

Hi Mate, I just received my DBA 4000 rotors today from GSL Rally Sport delivered 2 hours ago, having them fitted tomorrow. Best prices for rotors and pads believe me i spent ages searching online and calling up different brake specialists, none of them can match Greg's prices. Highly recommended. Good luck with your searching.

Hi mate, just r34 gtr's ceramic. Boosted as in anything which isn't standard. Was told my turbos's would last till about 150,000km till they'll die, just wanted to know if it's true or not. also wanted to know average turbo life. Admin, if thread/poll is useless please help answer my question than close. Thanks

Hi Everyone, just a newbie question. I know it all depends of how much boost your running/how hard you drive ect... but please i just wanted to have a rough idea of when peoples standard turbo died or started to have problems? I've done 135,000km on my factory turbos have been boosted since 27,000km . Been told they normally last to about 150,000km before they require rebuild/replacement or upgrade is this correct or just a myth?

My car, I was playing with photoshop and stuffed up saved over original now image quality way too small.

me too, i put her through hell when i was a teenager. FYI I'm 30 yo, i didn't ask her to pay it (i paid her back for it) and i stand on my own two feet.

I have attached both of blended images and normal images, note that i had to lower the quality and size to upload. Also the pics were blended using the phone on low setting, with high setting the phone keeps freezing and would have to restart. Hence why i was looking for a pc app to blend the images after taking them using the N8.
-
i know, such is life things will always happen and people will always wish "what if.....", reason is I just feel a little bit better by having a sook and comfort in knowing i'm not the only one who hate this SH_T (fine = stupid tax that is).
-
Hello, Has anyone else got a Nokia N8? if you do, have you tried the camera app HDR Photo Camera. This app takes 3 separate pics with different exposures and blends the best of each pic together into 1 image. For all you photographers on SAU what program do you use for bracketing? to merge the images. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well it is now, fine was on Byron Street Footscray. Didn't know i had a fine until my mum yelled at me for it (she's already paid it). For now on no more street parking. Also there's white paint from the other car on my door where it hit, what brand of cut and polish should i buy also what strength?
-
Sorry, my bad. Poor choice of wording on my part . Lesson learnt.
-
But to get a fine for waiting for a car to leave, to me isn't fair. The guy was in his car driving out of the parking spot, if i stopped and was waiting for someone to come back to their car than fair enough. Camera's in those back streets are only for revenue raising, council's are looking for new ways to make money.

Hence i'm showing that having Z32AFM would give you more potential to make more power over stock items, off course to make the extra power you would need a proper dyno tune and other mods (that's why i added the mods done listed on 1st graph).
-
Take it back to Racepace, they'll go out of the way to help you. Can't recommend then enough.
-
Hello everyone i didn't know if i should post this in the turbo upgrade sticky, but i didn't upgrade my turbos. so i decided to add it here. i have attached 2 dyno graphs one with standard AFM and one with Z32 AFM. i did this so new people can see how much power they can get for this modification. But remember this is how much i gained on my car, every car is different depending on mods/age/worn engine ect.... But in my instance i gained 17rwkw from adding Z32AFM to my car. Hope this helps you in deciding what mods you wanna do to your car in the future .

Is it just me or something but i really hate Footscray, two weeks ago i got a fine for waiting for a parking spot (apparently your not allowed to stop on that street for any reason) and i come back to my car yesterday to find a small dent right in the center of my passenger side door . WTF don't people give a sh!t about other peoples property anymore, i'm always careful when i open my door regardless of what make/brand/age of the car next to me and i'm especially careful when it's windy i actually hold my door ti make sure it doesn't swing from the wind. So be warned becareful where you pull over in Foots as there are cameras which fine you. does anyone else hate Footscray or any other street/area for what eva reason.

Brake Pads Users Ratings Guide
GD2ILA replied to Snowman's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi Guys, Just got my Remsa pads in the mail, now waiting for my DBA4000 rotors to arrive. The rear pads had these really thin metal brackets in the box but the front pads didn't have any, is this correct? My car is only street driven, so will write a in depth review on the rotors and pads after about a month after fitting. -
Your missing 1 step according to your steps above. Easier steps to understand is: 1- car is off, transmission in Neutral and steering wheel is dead center. 2- turn key to accessory, when ready turn car on. 3- with steering wheel dead center (imagine a white line in center of steering wheel) turn to the right so that the line moves about 20cm - now turn to the left about 40cm (that is considered 1). turn to the right about 40cm and back to the left 40cm (that is considered as 2) repeat up to six times. 4- push and release brake peddle 6 times 5- turn steering wheel to right 20cm than to the left 40cm than to the right 20cm (so it's now back in the center) 6- push clutch in move lever into gear than out of gear, now release clutch 7- now stare at hicas light and count the flashes. that's it takes, for reference it takes me about 5 seconds to do all of above (steps 1 to 6). with step 7- if it starts with 10 quick flashes means your in mode A, if there is a long 5 second flash means your in mode B, after that now count flashes and refer to op for what it means. hope this helps.

honestly i think the chimpanzees would be a better mechanic than me, when it comes to stuff like this i have no idea. only thing i can do myself is a minor service plus no tools to even do jobs like this. ended up sourceing new shafts myself and had those fitted by a trusted mechanic.
