  2. if you look at the history of the GTR (R32) you know it's a street legal race car, also what does the RB mean in RB26DETT? with a GTR i can race on Sunday then drive to work on Monday.
  3. your getting a EVO on top of owning a GTR right? your not selling the GTR right? am i right?
  4. hi mate, i used to have a E36 M3 and currently my older brother has a E46 M3 CAB, the E36 is getting a bit old now and that the handling isn't anywhere as stiff/good as a GTR. the older a beemer is the more problems they have trust me the mechanical/electronic build of beemers aren't as good as you think they are. Plus performance is totally different the power in a E36 is instant (NA) but lacking as it's only about 216kw at the fly if i remember correctly and the GTR (FI) will have a little lag but has much more power (depending on set up). The E36 is much more luxury and is a easier car to drive as a daily. plus my E36 had SMG2 which was cool at first but i got weary of if after awhile and wanted a proper 6speed manual with a clutch. all honesty i think you would be more happy with the GTR, or if you really want a luxury sports car get a E46 M3 they only go for about 70g's now. it all comes down to personal preference but you really should take a E36 M3 for a proper drive first before you decide.

i've got a craving for mars bar cake, anyone know any good places that specialize in cakes on the west side? i know in Williamstown there's a place that makes awesome cup cakes.
  7. just car $2000 pa, normal excess $1500, i'm 31yo in vic. i have informed then of all mods done and even proved that all parts are genuine nismo, so my payout amount is higher than what redbook says. 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec R34 Previous Valuation Prices * Private Price Guide$35,800 - $40,600 * Trade In Price Guide$29,500 - $34,300 * Average Km110,000 - 200,000 Honestly i don't how redbook calculate there evaluations.
  8. i guess i'll meet every at coburg, around 8 to 8:30. who ever is making the flyer for discount please bring 4 for me thanks. i'll be in the black SLK. also i'm bringing a battery pack just in case anyone needs a jumpstart.
  9. i'll most likely be attending aswell, haven't been out with SAU for a while now. But will be bringing the SLK as no am/fm in the GTR. Where is the meet for peeps on the west side???
  10. Hello, just for your info, if your really hell bent on getting the correct part. i remember that it was a Justcar Insurance repair correct? i'm also with Justcar and when i had my GTR repaired Nissan also ordered the wrong parts they ordered all standard parts as per my VIN but my car has all genuine Nismo parts. which they re-ordered for me. also the intercooler had a dent in it, so i made them order another intercooler aswell. so just cars had to re-order nismo front bar, lower lip, nismo front indicator (they got me the standard orange one) and another r34 gtr intercooler. so i don't see anything wrong with you asking your insurance to get the correct lip for you (that's why we pay so much money for comp). just make sure when you call up you have your claim number ready, also when you pick up the car you would of signed saying that your satisfied with the repairs just say you asssumed the lip was the correct one and that you had no idea that nissan would make a mistake on something so simple. good luck.
  11. spent 1hour washing and waxing the GTR this morning, so it's in prestine condition all shinny and mirror reflections alround. Ran out of junk food so had to take a quick trip to safeway upon coming out of safeway there was a little kid with a broken leg taking pics of my car. he pleaded with me to take him for a spin and make one of his dream to come true. feeling sorry for him i took him for a 3 minute drive (down the street and back). upon coming back to safeway as he was getting out of the car he started crying, he's waiting dad angrily asked me what did i do to him to make him cry? before i said anything, while wiping his tears away with a smile the boy tells his dad "that was the best few minutes of his life". Beside the performance of driving a GTR times like that makes owing a GTR worthwhile.
  12. i have had my BNR34 V-Spec for 4 years now, got it with about 25,000km and now has 127,000km on it. it has been my daily for 4 years now original mods done by Racepace my request was to keep it reliable and streetable. 102,000km later and car is still going strong. i'm so used to the car that i can't drive anything else either it's to slow or doesn't handle as good. honestly i reckon i'll be driving a gtr for the rest of my life.
  13. hello peeps i changed my oil and oil filter today, so i took some pics and a little write up on how to do it for those who wanna give it a go them selves. R34 Skyline: Simple steps to changing engine oil & oil filter - jack up car - remove oil filter cap, in engine bay - remove underbody oil plug cover :use phillips screw driver (make sure you lay out newspaper or something to catch leaking oil) - remove oil plug/bolt place bucket or what ever your using to catch the old oil: use socket wrench to undone plug/bolt (turn anti-clock wise to undo) - remove oil filter on left hand side of engine bay: use oil filter remover if you have one (turn anti-clock wise to undo) (clean/wipe off all excess oil from around oil filter location) - screw in new oil filter, make sure to put a thin layer of new oil onto rubber ring (i use drift 442, it has magnet inside to hold metal particles & have been using drift oil filter for 3 years now with no problems) - check and if there's no more oil dripping from plug/bolt hole, replace oil plug/bolt after wiping it clean. - replace underbody cover - put in new oil (i put 4 liters first) - lower car make sure it's on even ground, check dip stick (i tend to over fill a little bit and put all 5liters in). Hope this is useful to anyone who wants to have a go at changing their engine oil and oil filter them selves.
  14. r u from the west side? it'll take all night to copy from a usb hd to a usb hd. hmmm i'm a r34 driver aswell, what does that mean about us and Naruto...... lol
  15. i'm with justcars: driving history: have made 1 at fault claim with in last 3 years, few speeding fines, no lost of license. age: 29 car: r34 gtr v-spec mods: 19" GTC rims, exhaust, full genuine nismo body kit, minor mods security: multilayered eg, alarm/kill switch/imobilizer/steering wheel lock/lock up garage with electronic front gate location:victoria westside full comp: $1500 per year excess: $2500 hope this helps. with my claim last year justcars was perfect very professional and did all they can to get me back on the road but it did take ages to get parts from Japan (nismo stuff), note with justcars it's NOT choice of repairer. if you claim they tow your car to south melbourne (where it gets assesed) and have it taken to 1 of their repairers (normally the most complete and cheapest).
  16. i've got 2 broken ones if you want. i'm located in the west side of Melbourne.
