i reckon it's to easy to get ur license these days, they should make you drive on a freeway and in the city in the driving test. but it's easier to blame hoons and speeding than to solve the main issue of accidents which is lack of experience and driving skills. my little sister has her license but have never done an emergency brakeing, so i took her into back streets and got her to do hard breaking in the dry (she only now actually understands the distance it takes to stop from 60km to 0km) and wet (shit herself) she never new how much the car would slide or react, but she does now. also got her to over accelerate while turning in the wet and the back end kicked out (did it in a empty carpark) now she understands why i tell her to go easy around corners when it's wet. things like these most P platers have never experienced before or have done. once again it comes back to experience and driving skills.

I've also had this happen to me too, really i honestly reckon they just go and not do a head check first. also have seen 2 cars change lane into the same lane and at last second 1 of then notice the other car and quickly swerves back into their lane . everyday i see a close call where a accident almost happens. only thing i can say is be extra careful and make sure you have insurance .

Yep yep i've had that happen to me too. but i just love it how when i over took her in the middle lane and looked at her she had no idea what just happened and how close she was from an accident.

Sorry everyone about this rant but just wanted oppinions on basic driving/merging. last night almost got into a accident as i was driving on the freeway. i was in the left lane driving at about 95km had a car on the right of me slowly over taking me in the middle lane. comimg up to the on ramp saw car merging couldn't change lanes as had a car next to me. the car merged in front of me with about 15meters from me. noticed that i was approaching her really really fast, breaked hard and then changed lanes to the middle, she must of merged into traffic at about 60 to 70km i mean WTF could off crashed and at 95km that would of been bad. has anyone else been in this situation?

calling all other R34GTR owners, what paper work did you receive with your cars. things i have with my car are: -black leather folder -user manual (english translated version) -vehicle import approval papers -v check history papers (QLD only) -security interest certificate -privacy/warranty/maintenance booklet -nissan extended warranty booklet -2 sets of keys with remotes -1x flare -all tools in the boot is there anything else that should of came from factory with the car?

hi mate, i've got all the original nissan pamthlets/service books/user manual for a R34 GTR V-spec it all came with my car. will upload pics of what they look like when i have time. with my log book i fill it out on relevant section with what was done (it goes by km at every 10,000km intervals i think have to confirm later). i just tick what was done and write down also what was done in the comments section and staple the receipt/dyno graph when service at Racepace to that section. if i did the service at home i staple the oil/oil filter receipt to that section. also have my tires/wheel alignment reciept stappled in there aswell. when it comes to my car i log and staple everything in that service book. i'm pretty sure you can get it from nissan just that it'll be for a different car.

not ur car getting repaired right? ur friends gtr. forgot to say that the car got fully detailed, wheel alignment and a free car wash kit (soap/polish/polishing cloth & sponge) which was pretty good of them.

Yeah i was expecting to find something wrong and have to leave it there to get fixed, but repairs are all good . Also apparently the assesor has approved to have Cassandra's car repaired aswell .

well everyone, i got the GTR back last arvo from Sheen Panels in south Melbourne, i spent about half an hour going over the repairs and paint job and i have to say the workmanship is perfect. all panels were aligned perfectly as i measured the gaps and the paint was matched exactly to factory. all parts fitted are brand new. can't even tell it's been repaired. i'll give'em 10/10 for repairs and painting. i highly recomend them. that's coming from someone that is perdantic when it comes to my car. also had 8 people and my work mechanic (use to work as a panel beater) at work go over the repairs this morning and they all say they did a very good job and that i should be happy with it.

Hi Cassandra, did you go to Sheen Panels in South Melbourne? and if you did, did you see a Bayside blue R34GTR there? Alvin as everyone else has said accidents do happen, full comp gives you piece of mind.

CAR: 2000 BNR34 V-SPEC (daily driver about 100,000kms on it now) serviced every 5k. with 275/30/19 on all four, tyres are pumped to 38psi (i check everyweek). MODS; -K&N PANEL FILTER -CAM GEARS -FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM (NISMO) -PFC -DYNO TUNED (Racepace) 250rwkw PETROL: BP Ultimate About $60 per tank with about 300km on a tank, always fill up before the light comes on. i'm on boost alot, city driving 95% of the time.

my car is currently at Sheen Panels in City Rd, South Melbourne, it's been there 10 weeks and counting. but once a fortnight i go have a look and from what i've seen the premises is very good/repairs on other cars there were very good aswell. was told i get my car back next week. i'll tell you how my car comes out when i get it back.

i've been using Mobil 1 Gold and i find it works well and feels right when i'm driving. last change i got a different oil filter i think it was a driftek or something like that oil filter which has a magnet inside it has anyone else used this oil filter? is it better than the nissan one (which i normally get, have never used ryco)? what do you guys reckon?

Hi everyone, I got a chance to get a r34 gtr V-spec 2 carbon fiber bonnet, question does it fit a v-spec with out any modifications?

i have called up today and apparently they are still awaiting parts. but have started to work with the parts they do have and started with the car. seriously a month now and still waiting for parts? so much for "overnight parts from japan" (F&F).
