Hi everyone, have been thinking about this alot as i'm at the stage of getting new treads. Question is now i have noticed that all of the AWD cars have same size tyres front & rear and that all RWD cars have wider treads on the rear compared to the front. now a GTR isn't neither AWD or RWD all the time as it chooses when to engage AWD but 95% of the time it's RWD with street driving. so is it better to get same size all around (275/19) or F255 & R275. with your experience and expert opinions what do ya reckon?

i've been pulled over and checked more than 40 times over the years, my car is modified but everything is legal besides 1 thing that can't be seen. just be honest and polite and you'll be treated the same way. the only bad experience i had was once when a newbie cop tried to get me for rediculous things as he couldn't get me on anything legitimate. he said i changed my head light globes and that it's too bright (i have zenons, standard on a R34GTR), that i changed my brakes and need a engineers report (i have standard brembos) that i have a aftermarket front intercooler (which was also standard, and even if i did change it it's still legal because you can have 1 intake mod in VIC). after nicely showing him that everything is standard using my factory manual he let me go. honestly does cops actually get taught whats factory on certain cars and what's aftermarket or illegal???

Yeah i had a crash not hail damage, thank god the car is repairable not a write off. there's no structural damage. I didn't get to choose my repairer, i wanted Micolour to do the work. But Just Cars choose which ever quote is cheaper. Is anyone with Just Cars and got to choose their own repairer?

Well everyone, that hail weekend was one of the worst weekend i ever had killed the GTR again. i'm with Just Cars and i have to say the claim process was straight forward & customer service was exellent. Repairs have been approved and now waiting to have the car fixed. has frontal damage and was advised i'll have the car back earliest 2.5 months. Does it really take that long? with over night parts from Japan and all. Making the claim wasn't daunting at all. Plus i thought they'll have a hard time getting all genuine Nismo parts but they've got it and has been ordered. Anyone else has made a claim and came out positive?

on my BNR34 street driven i've had: 275/30/19 all 4 corners. Bridgestone Potenza Dry: 8/10 Wet: 7/10 Wear Tear: 5/10 Launching: 8/10 Price: 5/10 very expensive Yokohama V102 Dry: 7/10 Wet:6/10 Wear Tear: 8/10 i've done about 30000km (including about 14 launches) Launching: 6/10 tiny bit of spin than grips Price: 8/10 very good tyres for the price

Hi mate, i've got the exactly same one and had it fitted by Ben at Racepace. If you can afford it as you plan to track your car you should get the custom made one by Racepace (best catch can you can buy) which replaces the washer bottle it's a 2 in 1. Ben told me that this'll do the job for me but my car is only street driven.

i've also been searching one for myself manage to find it at below site: http://www.powerhouseracing.com/merchant/nissanr34.shtml type in BNR34 in the search function. from picture it looks correct. i've just sent them a email to confirm that it's for a R34 GTR (6speed manual with pull up reverse). will advise of reply when received.

yeah it belongs to my friend/boss, once in a life time you get to drive a LP640. My son loves it. Wish it was mine but the GTR is more than good enough.

sorry mate i modded the car two days after i got it.

i have a BNR34: all the standard mods 280rwkw i get a monthly petrol consumption report every month as i have a company petrol card it shows that i use around $60.00 (full tank) every 2 to 3 days and everytime i fill up i have to give'em the km's and i'm getting on average 300km per tank.

Poor bastard, i've been there done that. i feel your pain and it hurts. you'll be playing it on your mind over and over. if only i did this or did that. if your on here, hope you have insurance. if not your $20,000 out of pocket and thats just damage to your car.

Hello everyone, need help, just called nissan australia spare parts department and was told that they can order a spare remote for me but they can't code it, WTF. if they (nissan ) can't code the new remote who can? can some one in the know please advise? or am i forever dooommmed with 1 remote?

mate that's an awesome looking car, great to see another skyline owner as happy over their car as i am with mine. Just 2 things you must have before you buy anything else: full comp insurance and a good alarm system.
