  1. count me in for the meet, where can i get more info about the sprints? Will a CAMS L2S license be enough or do i need to get one thru the AASA as well? might be time to order a spare set of brake pads.....
  2. coming from the east, you'd still go up the hume via the greensy end of the ring road wouldn't you? I'm referring to this servo here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...&iwloc=addr
  3. Interested in having an SAU convoy up there on fri night? Say meet at the Epping BP servo on Cooper St at 6:30?
  4. i think the next one after this is in december. I'll be going up friday night and staying in Benalla too, makes it a lot easier to get up and arrive at the track fresh!
  5. Pretty easy really, no booking just roll up on the day. It was actually $30 last time in January, but whoop-de-f**king-do. No fire extinguisher requirement, just show up with a road/raceworthy car, clothes that cover the extremities and a helmet. That's it. Last time there was every car there from a bog stock Hyundai Excel to a 996 Porsche Turbo, a stripped out supercharged V8 M3, what looked like an ex-V8 Supercar and Scotsman's 33. I found it to be a great introduction to track days too, because everyone is out there just to have fun, not set times. The first few laps you'll be paranoid as hell about other drivers and binning it, but after that you catch yourself having fun and it's all good after that It gets pretty busy in the morning, but if you're prepared to stay the whole day and get back to melbourne late, you'll just about have the track to yourself in the last couple of sessions.
  6. pretty certain i'll be there, the fun day is such a cheap way to get MEGA track time! only downside is no timing ah well
  7. After the big Sandown oil spill I'm pretty keen to get back out and open the GT-R up again with its freshly installed catch can Do the maser club guys require a membership or are they happy enough with SAU membership? sounds like a good opportunity!
  8. no rb in this vid.....
  9. I'm a big fan of the sportback, the new lancer looks great but the sedan tail looks bland. Sportback fixes nicely!
  10. i'm in Resa and I take mine down to racepace. find it to be more than worth the trip
  11. Yeah, you're right about the lines, the BA/BF is tough, but the FG is svelte.
  12. looks tough, livery sucks though. can't wait to see it in the Vodofone colours, then it'll look good.
  13. Even the thought of the suggestion makes me sick. I've had a Prelude and they suck big hairy gorilla balls.
  14. Gotta be the GT-R, no contest.
  15. Pity, you just missed out on Sandown on Sunday! ah well, more track days soon! pics and chatter here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...Cl-t219133.html motorsport info here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...-C-t203667.html
  16. Leave it alone and put the money in a savings account so when you get off your P's, you can do a Turbo. I did it and believe me, I'm reaping the rewards now!
  17. Red V35 on Collins st tonight, plates started with WIF. sounded nice and tough too! then there was BIG RED and a smattering of R34 GT-Rs out at racepace this morning
  18. feck!! now THAT is driving
  19. bloody expensive taxi. when you could have a GT-R for the same coin, the answer to the question is f**k no.
  20. I humbly stand corrected
  21. only 2 sessions in DT before car decided to dump an unhealthy amount of oil on the turbo side of the engine bay. Looks like benno's going to be busy this week....
