  1. Yeah I've had the same issue with finding any under 100kms, i've looked for times but there is so much conficting times & you don't know if they are based on jap spec models. The only thing that holds me back is trying to sell my skyline, they go for next to nothing and a S1 with 180k on the clock is prob the least desirable of the lot.
  2. What model Rex did you own? Did you have any mods done to it & out of the 2 which did you think was quicker from 0-100km? Not really keen on the looks of the 4 door skyline & was sort of after a 4WD.
  3. I was looking for a 4 door. Big dick's are still quite a bit... 30k for a 2000 model from what I could see. Out of the price range I was looking at.
  4. I like the idea of having flexible tunability of the ECU hence why I would go PFC. Putting max power aside, what is the drivability between the 2 turbos?
  5. Cheers for that advice, I'm wouldn't be to keen in upgrading the turbo, I would much rather spend the money on suspension & brakes as I still want as much throttle response as possible... With the doughy low end of the rexies would a lightened flywheel and light weight pulley kit help sort this issue out?
  6. RWD are fun & have good handling characteristics but it's not like that I get the chance to step the arse end out everywhere on the roads. I like the idea of grip and traction in all sorts of adverse conditions... In saying that I wonder about how bad the low end torque is on a rex, some ppl say its really really doughy, I wonder with a few light mods would sort that issue out? IMO I think that the R33 take a little to wind up and get going.
  7. I was wondering what everyone else's opinion is, recently I have pondering the thought of selling my S1 R33 GTS25-t & purchasing a MY00 or MY99 WRX. The reasoning behind my madness is that I would like a 4 door 4WD car that would be a quick point to point machine, I don't want to do any serious mods to the rex just the basic stuff like exhaust, PFC & maybe larger top mount intercooler. My skyline currently at the moment has 3" exhaust, FMIC & boost controller. I also have a 400R front bar which leads to other thinking of making a swap, I recently cracked the front bar which is the second I have trashed & I'm just so over this fibreglass crap & would rather standard plastic bumpers, the S1 bumper looks crappy IMO & to get a gen GTR front bar will cost a mint. which brings me back to the rex, I'm basically after a fun daily driver that is sprinty, excellent on the tight twisty mountain roads, does not take forever to wind up & get going & at the end of the day can be a easy car to live with day in & day out. I'm not really into massive horsepower, big numbers & huge top end just more interested in torque & drivability. And before anyone says get an STI or EVO I would be looking at a max budget of 17k to spend on the rex. Any advice would be great guys cheers.
  8. How much did you pay for the plastic GTR front?? How much bending did you have to do?
  9. Hey, im interested in the floor mats. could you send me pics? Which state are you located in? Also interested in the power window controls? What sort of condition are they in?
  10. I found that thread & I jumped onto ebay for the second time, there are a ton of guys who make urethane front bumpers but none for an R33 skyline. Found that company G-force in sydney but all of there kits are fibreglass.... Does anyone know if a S2 front would fit onto a S1 without any issues?
  11. Hello all, was wondering if anyone knows of any other alternative to fibreglass front bars. Before you have ask I have searched through these forums & the web quite intensely and have come up with squat! I was searching for poly urethane body kits, part, bumpers and came up with nothing. I'm over fibreglass because the paint never looks right, every little touch and bump makes it crack & they never really sit right IMO. I cant even find the price on factory GTR fronts.... Anyone heard of any other alternatives out there??
  12. Hey mate, do you still have the S2 wing for sale?
  13. hey mate is the front bar painted?? if so could I please see pics. Cheers
  14. on a similar note, Just Jap have these sparco copies which I'm interested in. Has anyone had any experience with these?
  15. He dude, do you still have these injectors for sale?
  16. Hey mate would you separate parts on the door?? I'm after the power window controls on the drivers side @ the centre dash surrounding.
  17. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a nismo 400r PU front bar for an R33?? I'm sick of fibreglass, it never looks right when its painted and 1 little scrape and they start to look like a scrappy canoe.
  18. Does anyone know of a caliper paint that matches the Brembo gold.. I have seen some Gold spray paints but they way too yellow, the gold on the brembo brakes are a much richer & warmer metallic gold.
  19. ok, so I guess that would be the last thing you would want to happen... Any chance for some pics as to what it looks like?
  20. Photo would be handy. Excuse my ignorance but what is the air bleed used for?
  21. There is a code etched onto the circuit board which says version 1.2 I think... have to have another look... But I would interested in knowing what version is etched on your loom adaptor.
  22. Thats what I was thinking of doing, but I wasn't to sure as to weather or not I have caused any damage with letting some rusty water run through.
  23. Would anyone know if there are any visual differences with a Microtech LT-12 R33 series 1 loom adaptor to a series 2 skyline??? I own an R33 series 1 and the computer doesn't power up, the ecu was plugged up to another car with the correct loom adaptor suited for that vehicle and it fired up without a hitch. So I'm not sure if mine is the correct one or if it's just faulty??
  24. Hey there, I just picked up my car from the mechanics yesterday after getting a major service done and he told me that the radiator cap was stuffed which has left my radiator full of rusty water which he said that has gone through the block, he told me that he got most of it out but he mentioned that I should flush it again after a couple of hundred kms. Now what I would like to know is if I should use some radiator flush and then put in the coolant or should I just empty it and fill it back up with coolant. Also would anyone know that with this rusty water running through my block would it cause any major issues for my engine??
  25. The kilowatt figure doesn't phase me that much, yes I love to have decent power but I'm more interested in gaining the best drivabilty for the car.. The torque curve is what I'm more interested in as I just want the car to be a lot more puchier and responsive with maximum torque over the whole rev range. The type of driving I do is mostly on the street & I always love a blast around the twisties in the mountains.
