  1. Reviving one of my old threads here, is there an example of how you can back up this statement? Not having a dig, just curious to actually know what the issues are, and given the right tuner could they not bring out the best in the Microtech??
  2. Dragging up an old thread here but I have had the same issue for about 4 years, when I bought the car it was fine then one day it was just really difficult to start. I had the fuel pump checked, AAC valve, Temp sensor, changed ECU's, injectors cleaned, even had a modfied plenum put on there for a while. I'm going back to the thought that it may be my injectors, I have a feeling that they may be leaking from the body of the injector. If it was say the AFM or serious issue with the fuel pump then I would be experiencing issues when the engine is on load or when boost comes on. I have also noticed ever since this issue arose that my fuel economy has gotten really poor, 350km to a tank. The only mods I have are a pod, 3" exhaust and FMIC, so I dont see how that could kill the economy.
  3. Are Gal's located on mickelham road?? Do you have any pics of your car??
  4. So if you were to go for something like a mettalic black, how much do you think it have costed??
  5. just out of curiosity, how much have you guys paid??
  6. cheers guys thanks for info. Just out of curiosity did you guys have any work done there & if you did how much was it?
  7. I did do a search and came up with everything else but recommended workshops in Melbourne.
  8. Ok, an age old question that I'm sure has popped up on this forum a million times. Who recommends who for doing a full respray on my R33 gts25-t? Now my car is black and I can only assume that it would not have to be taken back to bear metal, but in saying that no price can be given unless someone sees the car. I know you get what you pay for, but I would like to know if anyone can recommend any workshops where they have been extremely happy with the result & what they paid.
  9. I agree totaly, I have rang up a few guys and they say that it would cost $500 & then they go on to tell me that the microtech isn't that great of computer & compared to other ecu's such as wolf or ems (which they are authorised dealers in) he wouldn't be able to acheive the same result which in my mind is crap because that just points out his inexperience they have with the Microtech.
  10. How much did they charge you for an install & tune?
  11. Hey there, just wondering if anyone know of a good a Microtech tuner in Melbourne. I've got a R33gts25t and a Microtech LT12 ready to go in and be tuned.
  12. Does anyone know what the correct offset for 19" wheels are so that there wouldn't be any issues? If 245 were too much for the front then I would go 235. I currently have 235 on my 17x7 at the front and these have no issues what so ever.
  13. I would go for a 245 or maybe 235, 35 profile for the front. I was looking to upgrade the suspension with something a little stiffer and just a tiny bit lower but I still want a comfy ride. I think there is more to gain from installing thicker swaybars and strut braces and trying to reduce the roll. Does anyone know what is a coil over that is good for road use?
  14. What do you recommend to be the best set up? 18's?? Keep in mind I was considering upgrading the suspension but this brings me back to what is the ideal setup for grip and street use? I'm not really interested into turning my car into a drift machine I'm more set on having a responsive grippy package so the car is more of a pleasure to drive. I have found some places in the U.S that will sell & deliver 19" tyres or most size tyres at a more than reasonable price, since the oz dollar is so strong the US prices are hard to look past.
  15. Hey there, if anyone has 19" wheels on there R33 GTS25t I was just wondering how it effects the cars performance as in handling & grip etc.. I'm concidering purchasing a set of 19" rims but I'm worried about scrubbing, rough & bumpy ride, excess stress on bearings, bushes etc. My car is a daily driver so I want it to be very pratical & not unberiable to live with day in & day out. Currently I have some 17x7 with 235x45 bf goodrich tyres on stock suspension & the car is just fine as a daily driver although I could go a little bit tighter on the suspension. If anyone could give me feedback it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
