As said above... Thanks!

Ok here's the update... Dump is definately on the cards, i thought i might first just try to source something decent second hand. Anyone? As for remap i did some research and spoke to Toshi (Great guy who knows his stuff! Thoroughly recommended!), he was even kind enough to show me what he could do on my car with the road tune, try before i buy type of thing which was a real learning curve for me. BUT even though my car is still as i first posted as i didn't really feel any more pull from the tune, a smoother overall delivery of power definately, but not any more pull. Toshi recommeneded i try a front mount, dump pipe, hiflow, fuel pump and airflow meter to really make the most of the tune, which i can appreciate but i'm not going to do... Toshi spent a long time and did a great job but i just think my mods i have done even when i get the dump pipe can't justify the tune... not just the money side of things but just the fact it didn't change a hell of a lot with my setup.. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this with same mods? So i'm still not sure what to do next... A few have said boost controller and up the psi but my friend had a bad experience with boost creep in his 33 with similar mods except for FMIC snd dump pipe and blew the turbo, which kinda scares me off.

Hey thanks for that! Would you maybe pm me the details of where i can get the SAFC? Whats the difference between the toshi remap, the jaycar fuel controller and the SAFC tune?
-
yeh i don't think i wanna up the boost anymore... The actuator is holding 10psi and just from a quick search the word seems to be anything more than that would be reaching the limits of things, but i dunno if the fuel controller and tune would help that side of things any? And look as far as spending the rest of the money on savings or taking the wife out to dinner ect, i appreciate the advise but that stuff is already taken care of...Hence the small bugdet. So incase anyone else wants to offer that sort of suggestion, before you post keep in mind, this money is for the car only.
-
Hey thanks for the suggestion... Is the fuel adjuster and controller like the SAFC? Who can tune that stuff? And if i were to increase boost with the controller, whats the max it should be set at? any risk of spiking?
-
wow how enlightening! thats some great advice!!! I didn't realise i was looking for a financial adviser... i thought i asked whats the best way to increase my cars power on a budget of $1000 but you've answered my question completely! Thanks everyone else for some good suggetions! So far dump pipe looks like the go.. SAFC i still wanna look into along with toshi re-map as there still seems to be a bit of debating... so i'm not sure? I don't think FMIC cause i've searched alot of threads and from what i've read, my 34 SMIC should be fine for these mods. I think... I hope..
-
what does a SAFC do? and is that brand new or 2nd hand prices? Thanks basti. Yeh i'm not expecting the car to be suddenly super quick, but just keen not to spend money on stuff that is pointless. (eg, injectors and fuel pump thanks to PM-R33)
-
Yeh i know its a bit of a drag only having such little money but i just got married and its all i really can allow so i'm tryin to make the most of it... i probably should have been more specific but i just want more power as suspension has already been up graded to all nismo items(shocks, springs, struts ect) along with upgraded brake pads so handling and stopping is good, i don't want to go any further with that... So a split dump pipe you think... any thing else? Thanks guys!!

Hey it would be great if i had lots of money to throw at my car but like i said i've only got $1000 to spend and i want some more performance... Just so you know, all my s1 33 has done to it is...(try not to laugh) r32 wastegate actuator, r34 SMIC, hi flow cat, 3in cat back and earthed solenoid wire for constant high boost mode... I know i'm not left with alot of options as $1000 won't go far but i want to make the most of what i have and try and spend my money on something that i will feel the power difference.. Can anyone recommend any options? After this i'm not goin any further with the cars mods and i don't have any specific power goals i'm trying to achieve. (I've had a lot of well meaning mates recommend stuff like upgrading injectors and fuel pump or to get a FMIC or get myself a dump pipe and other crap but i have little mechanical knowledge and i don't know whats really worth it, so hence me throwing this out to you guys.) Any advice and personal experience would be awesome!!!

Where's the justice in that??? hang on a minute..... DID YOU STEAL THEM??????!!!!!!!!
-
don't post the link either or you'll be having a hundred SAU members emailing him theats and hence scewing up any chance of gettin your rims back...
-
That really Sux to hear!! Sounds like you've been doin the right things so far. but like someone else said, you are def gonna need some pretty good proof of ownership if the cops are gonna want to get involved... If you are gonna meet up with them make sure you're smart about it... If they see you with 50 guys in skylines sittin there waiting for them, i'm pretty sure they aren't going to hang around. *Send a friend incase they have seen your face before. *send the friend to meet them alone so as not to scare them off, while you get their licence plate and description from afar. Maybe even follow them and try find out where they live. Maybe you could get someone to steal em back. I'm sure anyone here would help you out... *If its a public place try and round up a few guys to be close by without it looking obvious ready incase it goes bad. * Don't do anything stupid, if they realise you'r behind getting them bashed by half of SAU members i'm pretty sure they'll remember were you live.(if thats where they were stolen from.) Hope you get em back!! And the f#gg#ts pay for it!!
