Nissan R32 4 Door Skyline Gtst Rb25
SprJenkins replied to MYP16's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Here's a free bump for you. But...Rooted gearbox, no wheels, crappy brakes, no rear bumper, no bonnet, smashed and different colour panels, no hope of rego. Seriously part it out mate, if you have enough good parts left you'll get $7000 but no one will give you that sort of money for the whole car. -
Hi Guys, I have some AP Racing brakes for sale. They are 4 piston front and rear with 330mm two piece front and 328mm two piece rear rotors to fit under 17in wheels. They come with EBC Green stuff pad, the front pads are about 506-60% worn the rear pads are like new. I'm after $2800 for the lot. Cheers Joel. Mob: 0412 613 165

Sam Markov runs in IPRA -
Congratulations again Duncan, For those that didn't look at the results Duncan also beat a F3, a F3000 and a Radical in the outright standings, looks like those slicks some bloke sold you go alright As for needing to have a cage to run slicks, that's rubbish. I read right the way through the CAMS manual and it doesn't say anywhere that you need a cage. I then rang up CAMS as well and you definately don't need a roll cage to run slicks. The only exception to this is if event sup regs say you need a roll cage.

Hi Guys, I have some tyres I no longer need as I'm selling one of my cars. All the tyres are in Melbourne, pick up is prefered but I can organise shipping. 4x Brand New Falken RS-V04 245/45 R17 Semi Slicks ($800 for the set, imported by my tyre shop from Japan, proper semi slick unlike the RT615 which is a high performance road tyre) 2x Brand New Falken 285/35 R18 Slicks ($300 a tyre, that's less then half price, never been used) 2x Dunlop 230-640/18 Slicks ($200 per tyre, good condition, lots of tread, these have been shaved and heat cycled since their last run) 4x Michelin Porsche Cup 24-64/18 Slicks ($200 per tyre, also in great condition, heaps of tread, will consider selling in pairs) 4x Michelin Porsche Cup 27-68/18 Slicks ($200 per tyre, good condition, lots of tread, heaps of life left in them) I'll post up pictures later this arvo. If you have any questions give me a call. Cheers Joel Mob: 0412613165

Bang For Buck Tyres.
SprJenkins replied to KezR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Not quite, the RT615 is really a good street tyre, the RT215 is a proper semi slick. I know that Tempe Tyres still sell both, the RT 215 is a much softer compound with a lower tread wear rating and bigger tread blocks. The RS-V04 is stickier again. -
Hey guys, I was just wondering what tyres people are using for the track. I know that LSX-438 is using Michelin Porsche Cup Slicks, which are only one meeting old. Has anyone else gone away from the standard run flats? Cheers Joel

I've seen Sam Markov do a 1.14 at Sandown and a 1.39 at the Island, neither of those times are very far off V8 Supercar territory -
You could also look at getting an E series Falcon. For the money your not going to find anything more powerfull and they weigh 1500kg in the EF's and less then 1400 kg in the EA and EB's, once you strip them that will be fairly light weight, 165kw, and very reliable.

Need Help With Porche Brakes
SprJenkins replied to timsr33's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Out of interest what are a set of the Porsche Cup brakes worth. I saw a set of F50 calipers with pads and rotors for sale the other day for $1250 second hand. Absolutely spewing that I missed out. -

I know that Wholesale Suspension in Sydney were doing a bunch of testing on them and from what I hear it went well. Maybe give them a call for a more in depth assesment. -
Tein Super Street Coilover Kit
SprJenkins replied to morbsy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The damper kit is just the shock absorber without the spring. The coilover kit is both the spring and shock absorber. The top mount is an adjustable unit so you can adjust the cast and camber of your wheel. I forgot to look at what car you were driving before I hit reply but you don't need it on most cars and if your car has double wishbone suspension it wont do anything as the camber is controlled by the upper control arm.
