  5. Your welcome djr81 Billet gears in the N1 oil pump go along way to solve the problem of gear sets failing any pump with billet gears is a great solution Really With TOMEI addressing crank to gear clearance issues also Happy RB26ing Pic attahced Billet gear installed Stock gear to the left
  6. Nothing fits nicely unless its a 6 x 4 so mods are required i have fitted 6.5s and are a custom fit wood adapter cut out to fit the hole fibreglass over lays and door panel deadener etc etc needs it really just screwing in 5.25s with a large whole around half of it wont sound to good id suggest Good Luck pop a door panel off and have a sus best way to get your head around it
  7. I agree with your post 1000% because you are CORRECT 74 thousand posts that would Drive me stoopid also he does not think he talks down to members but he prooves it in his reply to ohwell ive just wasted another 5 minutes of my time Grrrrrr
  8. Obviously with added oil/larger sump the oil temps and similar are beneficial to the cause depending on use. Snowman & Scotsman both ran stock sump'd GTR's for 2-3 years no problems in that department. Motors were stock too and eventually the died but that's what happens @ 330-360rwkw over a hard life. Since then they've both used N1 pumps, as have pretty much all Vic cars. Not one has broken a pump yet. Most motors hand together fine as well (failures are not pump related). So if you are a bit worried then swap out the gearset. They aren't too expensive and if you get piece of mind then that's covered off. Comes down to cost really: Option 1 - 1500 Closer to $750 if savvy Billet gears from JPC.com.au $350 can be used Option 1.5 - 2300 Option 2 - 3200-3500 I'd also suggest if you are going to go all out on a pump, that you use the Tomei one. It's the only one that utilises a different gearset arrangement similar to that of the 2JZ (never hear of them breaking pumps). It's something I've never really worked out why the other aftermarket pump makers don't use the Tomei/2J style as for a bolt-on pump, it's the way to go. Thank you R31 Nismoid for the answer above its a very valuable and credable answer
  9. R31 Nismoid You do not even know the flow rates of a RB26 oil pump So important mate !!! you loose credability straight away I have just rebuild my motor and have done stacks of research and actually have done the tests and have also had the heartache I am Right you are Wrong Simple admit it move on and shut the thread if you so choose to Read what you want into it mate i have used general language and have not said definite rather probably and eventually SAU is really given me well i dont know well maybe and i thinks cany find real info mation on this damn round about of a way site you wanna know my experience PM me all ill tell you REAL life engine touching blowing up fixing INFO Forget Cyber google Fringing Guess's PM me or leave my REAL opinion and facts alone Have a great weekend EveryBloody " what i wrote is not rubbish" and there are good reasons behind it
  10. "Pump and Sump "read the Thread properly Oil Pump Around $1600 Sump around the Same so with Oil Pump Sump and Front diff rebuild Around $3500 actually
  11. "Pump and Sump "read the Thread properly Oil Pump Around $1600 Sump around the Same so with Oil Pump Sump and Front diff rebuild Around $3500 actually
  12. Howdy i" IT ALL COMES DOWN TO $$$COIN$$$ ! SIMPLE" Option 1 is under a grand JPC.com (victoria) do N1 Billet Gears $350 ,N1 oil pump new from the states $200 ish tomei Sump baffle $200 ish (if you dont have one) option 2 is over 2 grand Tomei pump and sump only way to go is the best and the rest start to stack underneath most are pretty good and nearly as good but none do a three peice gear like Tomei (just cant break them) Okay Option 1 will eventually fail depending on lots of stuff but another build will be needed later than sooner Option 2 pretty much never a problem and the best option for a stock position Oil Pump and dearest also Option 3 DRY Sump (external) oil issues on a race GTR Sorted if you have issue with oil its the last thing you will suspect 1.5mm restrictor is fine but if only doing track work and mostly in the 6000rpm plus ie no street cruzing then 1.1mm restrictor (Check Tomei website for this) Good Luck SIR-032
  13. Howdy Matt Bolts were supplied with the Clutch so no probs there yeah around 5mm shorter Since the original post ive since removed the clutch and found that some grease had came out of the spigot bush and contaminated the flywheel to friction plate ,Sooo once it goes back in id say any shudder would again be minimal or eliminated (grease cleaned up and machined off) , still a light pedal and close to standard operation , though still launches hard and positively as the clutch should i still have a high grab point (grabs around the last quarter travel of the clutch pedal ) some say thats normal yours being a 33 and pull type will be quite different where does yours grab close to floor or close to steering wheel?
  14. Is this the three peice gear set that needs the restrictor in the head and preferably a massive sump and the best pump for the RB in std location?
  15. Howdy QU : has the engine had its 100k service? timing belt water pump etc etc? Cheers Den
  16. Same Nismo Suppercopper mix? Clutch as mine does the pedal engage late or high? I have already done the Solid mounting on the rear cradle but good idea also suggests that it could be a weak or leaking shock ? or some thing loose around that area , i have noticed it bounces only on straight ahead launches a left or right hand leaning Launch its smooth as and also smooth getting sideways in rear wheel drive only Hmmm Interesting what else can peoples suggest???
  17. Id assume a R32 Vspec is the Pull Type set up ( Same as R33 GTR ) Early R32 were Push Type ( You Can see the Bunch of Fingers in the middle no Ring clip Buttt im Sure if its Depth Problem the R34 Gtr were all Deeper (a wider clutch ) so she will not slide on properly Tried it same problem Just too much clutch in there and the Gear Box will never match up Id Suggest you have R34 Triple Plate in your hands and you need to return it and get 33 One Good Luck SIR-032
  18. Ever Since i put a New Twin Plate Clutch in my 32GTR ( had a worn OS Giken Twin ) Now i have a Nismo Twin SupperCopperMix I am Getting More and More Wheel Bounce/Tramp ( NON smooth Launch ) Has Anyone experience this in there GTRs? It Mainly Happens on big Launches and its crazy Horrible to drive i wont Launch any more until i have it sorted seems as if the Clutch is just too harsh or i have a Stuffed Tein Coilover Maybe or something??? Any Experience you guys and girls can share with me ?!?!?!?!?!? or better any solutions ? Cheers Peoples SIR032
  19. Excellent Cheers for your input That Sounds very much like my experience to this day, however a question if i may I kept the fork/pivot/slave etc Standard and it feels as if the pedal engages late or high lets say around the last 70% of the full pedal travel, im used to it now but curious if this is correct an whether your mods improve this ,pedal is still very light though has a nice strong feel still Great to here you getting excellent long term value out of the Twin Plate NICE Stuff SIR-032
  20. UpDATE Well after many months of driving in the 300 AWKW R32 GTR The Final Results are in on the Nismo SupperCopperMix Its Pretty good its light and can be almost forgotten as being standard though still holds trates of shudder and twin plate caracteristics , certainly not a standard feel as most would have described Is It worth is it YES most other Twin plates all have comprises is some form , Noisy/hard to drive in traffic/slips under power etc But the Nismo does ity all pretty easy and quitely and with out too much fuss and when you launch Hard as you can reminds you The Twin Plate can take a lot more than you can give it Good lUck evey one with what you all choose or have chosen SIR032
  21. It took around two weeks of driving half an hour to work clutch is Temp related more than Nismo advertise Pull type may have a better design for plate control???? guessing??? i bet you could buy 10 nismo clutch kits and they would all differ some what this is just my experience and it still does shudder at little now and again
  22. Nismo coppermix -- read some good reveiws but how long do they last and are they rebuildable ?? $? Yes these are rebuilable no probs with the plates only and a machine Read the Twin Plate thread so far so good that the clutch is almost a 10 out of ten has some weirds things like Lots of Running in etc PM me and ill tell you more
