  1. Not sure if you meant us, but that was me in my dark green S1, Brendan in his pearl white s2, and eventually Laurence in his black s1 meeting up for a quick chat and exchange of parts at the BP/McDonalds on Parramatta Rd in Five Dock on Friday arvo. I also spotted a silver s1 driving through behind the servo on R33/S14 wheels, and only just now(!) made the connection that it could have been Shaun.
  2. Spotted a tidy white R34 GTt with black wheels passing through Richmond around 10pm (I think? Wasn't really checking.) tonight.
  3. I put 54 litres in mine today (was just below a quarter tank) and it was running fine, and have driven the car down to a 62 litre fill before (I think it was right on empty, can't remember) and it ran fine then too.
  4. Spotted Gav in his yellow C34 s2 on Old Windsor Road in Seven Hills this afternoon, then Dave (I think???) at the very last moment in his NM35 AXIS about 10mins later as I was waiting to tun into my street.
  5. Spotted that silver C34 s2 parked along the railway lines in Pendle Hill again today, first time I've seen it there in ages!
  6. If you're using 32GTR Sumitomo calipers with your R32 discs, there is no need to skim them.
  7. OK, seeing as there's still no planned cruises yet, let me remind you all that we have our "Texikhana" skid-pan day out at Nirimba TAFE on Sunday March 16th. Feel free to join in on the action or just come and watch. Details: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/437682-sau-nsw-texikhana-sunday-16th-march-2014-at-nirimba-tafe/
  8. Keep shooting in RAW, then convert to JPEG later. RAW files are a lot higher quality (hence the larger file sizes). http://lmgtfy.com/?q=raw+file+editing

  10. Yep, what Terry said. If there is an event tagged as "SAU-NSW Official..." then it means it's run directly by the club and is covered by insurance, etc. Most other ones are just put on by whoever wants to organise them.
  11. As far as I know, the car was white when it was bought by Carla, and I assume it's the factory colour. The number plates and TE37SL's on it are a fairly recent addition, though. And as previously mentioned, her fiance Chris also has an R34 GTR, in Bayside Blue and with standard wheels.
  12. March 16th is the SAU-NSW Texikhana too - Theo, Gav and Alex are regular attendees, where are the rest of you???
  13. I'm sorry...
  14. Spotted Paul's "MADGTR" R34 yesterday parked out the front of Tyre King in Seven Hills.
  15. I might, actually. I need a single-DIN unit, which makes the number of choices a whole lot slimmer. Still, I'll have a look at Terry's Evo when we catch up next, maybe next week at the Club Exec meeting.
  16. More of you Stagea guys should come along to SAU-NSW events too, by the way. Oh, and join the actual club too! Hint hint, nudge nudge...
  17. Yep, same, mate. I've always tried to follow the "do it once, and do it properly" philosophy. Now to decide if I wanna spend big on a new head unit with reverse camera, sat nav, iPod connectivity and blue tooth, or just update to something with iPod and BT only. I've got a pretty recent Garmin GPS with free updates for life, I just need to keep it in the car. I just hate having hundreds of different things hanging off the windscreen and dash. Would much rather an all-in-one solution and have the convenience of optional reversing camera available too.
  18. Sorry guys, but there are no black SAU caps left, they ran out ages ago and I've been slack (terrible excuse, I know... ) and not updated the Merchandise thread. The problem with putting a new order in is that the minimum batch was of 100, and they took ages to get rid of them, which is money that the club is just sitting on for years... I am in the process of looking for cheaper, quicker sources, though - if anyone has any leads, please let me know!
  19. Hahahaha, thanks Hugh! I'm keeping the wins coming for us dark green s1 owners!
  20. Yep, the quick discussion between Gav and I was to (even at a minimum) just have an occasional meet-up where we can sit back and just talk shit. What part of Sydney are you from, Dave?
  21. Got a new muffler and some exhaust piping re-done. The old system was too loud after the work done last year, and the old bends were 90deg bends so they were changed to 60deg bends to free it up. Also got the tune tweaked because it wasn't too smooth on light throttle, and I gained 15rwkW!
  22. My CC on these shots: next time you're so close to my house for one of these sessions, I will not let the heat stop me from coming along to help... Seriously though, in the top photo there's just a little bit of light missing from the right side of her face that doesn't quite work for me. Maybe I should have been there to hold a reflector to bounce some light.
  23. Do as Brett said. Even better, run a switch (and a relay, maybe? Never needed to do it, so not quite sure) and have the option of RWD or AWD.
  24. Forgot to mention that I spotted Carla last week on Windsor Rd in Kellyville Ridge as I was heading in the opposite direction towards Rouse Hill Town Centre. I'm guessing she was on the way to the meet that they'd organised for that afternoon.
  25. Please check out this link for the wrap-up thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/438535-s-a-u-and-wheel-centre-tech-arvo-wrapup/
