  1. It certainly has, Terry! Good article by Nick (Black Widow), great photos, and good turnout made the R34's "10th anniversary" article a good read. Bakes' car is just gorgeous, full stop!
  2. Yep, that was my little sis, PJ - her first track day, and in such horrible conditions!
  3. I almost forgot about the ducks - they were crossing the track at turn one when I came in on one lap, and because they're dark brown I could only just see them. Luckily I wasn't pushing on that lap, the pedal had started to fade the lap before, so I was taking it easy (or easier, anyway).
  4. The front shocks will be fine, but the rears are different at the bottom. This topic has been covered extensively, please do a search!
  5. Sorry peoples, we've had to cancel this cruise... Newcastle is gonna be chaos, there's a festival on, school holidays, possible rain, and a few other factors working against us. Instead, we urge you to attend the Putty Road cruise put on by SAU-NSW. Details can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pu...09-t286278.html
  6. No worries, Stu. We've had to cancel anyway - Newcastle is going to be chaos with the Mattara Festival, school holidays, possible wet weather (as per the forecast), and a few other factors working against us. Sorry for the late notice, folks. As an alternative, I urge you all to attend the Putty Road Cruise on the 24th of this month.
  7. Rules for the Stagea Classifieds Section You MUST include a price (or at the very least, a ball-park figure)... You MUST include the condition of the item(s)... You MUST include your location and/or contact details... Post pictures if you can, it will reduce the "please post photos" questions...
  8. Bah, I have a Stagea cruise up to Newcastle, but it may not go ahead due to some festival (and the school holidays) being likely to cause massive crowds. If it's cancelled/postponed, I'll swing around to laugh at skinned knuckles, and maybe even earn some of my own!
  9. That would be [[danny]].
  10. I'm out - Stagea cruise the next day early...
  11. I used to, but constantly travelling through the space-time continuum plays major havoc on your body, so I gave it up, sold the spaceship, bought a Stagea, and have more fun with less body-clock issues!
  12. Hmmm, I just heard thunder, and I'm in Toongabbie. My car is outside because I was out earlier and have to go back out again soonish, but unless I receive a phone call from the mate I'm supposed to go and see, I might put it in just to be safe...
  13. Like Sidd mentioned, it'll be all in the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO - if you want to learn more about this, have a look at the videos done for Canon Australia here: http://www1.canon.com.au/worldOfEos/learn/home/default.aspx. Those same videos and more are also directly viewable on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/user/CanonAustralia
  14. Hurry up you!!! Yep, I'd also like to add a special thanks to Kel, John (kuma j), Matt (MBS206), Matt (Cassbo- between his sideways and off-track excursions, lol), and any and everyone else who helped out with the day - without the help of extra volunteers both in the lead-up to and at all the events we hold, these days would not run so smoothly! If I've forgotten you, I apologise, but you know who you are! Oi - back in your cage with that Stagea comment! I've gotta say a massive congratulations to my little sister Rosie in the dark blue Spazda3 - this was her very first track day, and she did it in APPALLING conditions, had a slight off early in the piece (as per Jim's photo below), got right back "in the saddle," and surprisingly carried really good speed all day in a standard car!
  15. Updated with Newcastle Cruise next weekend!
  16. Details are HERE!!! This is mainly a Stagea cruise, but others are more than welcome to join us too. However, it is a cruise, and I stress that NO RACING OR IDIOTIC, ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR will be tolerated while we're on the streets, at the meeting points, or anywhere in between. As a representative (and especially as Vice-President) of SAU-NSW, I do not want the good reputation of our forums and the club to be ruined by a few idiots who can't control themselves!
  17. Link to the event on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=176548682541
  18. How about we meet at the Berowra truck stop?
  19. Man, so many around my area too! How come I never see them (or you, Tangents)???
  20. Oh yeah, your excuse is more than reasonable too, mate! Can't wait to go for a ride in it when you eventually get it back. Oh alright...
  21. Spotted a dark blue M35 parked along the fence-line at Oran Park today, watching me and the SAU-NSW crew thrashing around the South circuit. As always, I was the ONLY Stagea owner with his car out. BezerkR32 (Stu) and Xmetal (Ian) both have excuses - Stu was racing his LS1-powered R32 (good son of rajab it sounds awesome, and goes soooo well!) and Xmetal no longer owns his.
  22. Peter, that device is basically to plug two antennas into one socket - because the car has diversity antennas, it feeds two signals into the head unit and the head unit chooses which one is strongest (or maybe also combines them???) to use to transmit the reception. Most Aussie-delivered stereos (especially if yours is aftermarket) have only one antenna socket, so you use that plug to feed both antennas into the head unit.
  23. Ouch, not good Matt.
