  1. Spotted a purple R33 GTSt parked at Winston Hills shops this afternoon, right behind a white M35 AR-X Stagea. I left an SAU-NSW business card on both cars.
  2. I spotted two M35s today - a silver one (RS or RX) somewhere on my travels between home at Toongabbie, Parramatta, Lane Cove and back home, and a white AR-X with big wheels similar to Danny's (rego BJA20Y or something similar), parked at the shops in Winston Hills (incidentally, directly opposite a purple R33 GTSt). I left an SAU-NSW business card on both the AR-X and the R33...
  3. Wow, I was going to ask where you found such a great background to shoot your car against, but then noticed the LHD and the New Jersey number plates. Great shots, car looks tough, and your friend's R33 is really nice, too!
  4. Hahahaha, gotta love that! It's so true, too.
  5. I saw that same R35 a few months back in Girraween - plates are "VR38" It looked HAWT!
  6. Hey Peter, congratulations and welcome to our Stagea community! i was trying to convince my old man to buy that car as he'd been talking of updating his car for a while, but unfortunately it wasn't to be... He loved it when he first saw it, and was excited when I told him it was for sale, but he'd already planned to go o/seas and spent a bit too much money while he was there. Oh well, his loss and your gain! As far as radio reception goes, there are likely quite a few M35 owners here in Sydney willing to help you rip out your dashboard to check if the antennas are connected properly. As far as workshops in that area of Sydney, I'd probably recommend trying Greg at Autosport Engineering in Kirrawee: http://www.autosport.net.au/
  7. When Ben says avoid some areas of Wentworthville, this ESPECIALLY means the units along Lane Street, and therefore most houses/units in the area between Station Street and Lytton Street... That's where most of the housing commission houses were/are, and it's pretty much the ghetto of Wentworthville. Sad, but true.
  8. Also, if you've got a good driving record, you *MAY* be able to either get out of it with no recorded fine/conviction. Please note, I did say *MAY*... But, yeah, get some legal advice to clear it up.
  9. Best bet is to BUY a helmet - they can be had for around $100 (sometimes less for an open-face one) and at least you KNOW that it is new, safe, will fit you, and is yours to keep and use again when you next need it for drift/drags/track days, etc. You HAVE to be there by at least 8am so your car can be scruitineered for safety. REMEMBER, PEOPLE, DAYLIGHT SAVING STARTS SUNDAY MORNING, SO SET YOUR CLOCK FORWARD BEFORE YOU GO TO BED SO YOU CAN WAKE UP ON TIME AND NOT AN HOUR LATE!!!
  10. Ahhhh crap - I HATE mornings as it is!
  11. So, punks, why have none of you signed up to run at Oran Park with me this Sunday??? :P
  12. When: our last SAU-NSW driver training day Where: Oran park GP With who: SAU-NSW and TrackSkills Any pre-setup involved: yep, bled brakes, checked brake pads, replaced engine oil and oil filter, checked air filter, checked tire pressures, removed loose items from the car. Also, when I got there I added some extra engine oil, and double-checked my brake fluid levels! Favourite memory of the day: hearing some people tell me that they couldn't catch me down the main straight of Oran, and then even for the first few turns through there. Things you learnt; about your car, yourself or the track: I learnt that my car is pretty damned capable for a big wagon, but I need better seats (now cured -can't wait to sample them on the track! ); that I was doing mostly the right thing around the track (according to Duncan, who came out with me for one session), that pushing to 8/10ths was plenty considering I'd like to keep myself and my car in one piece; and that turn two of the OPGP circuit is very tricky to get right, but very rewarding when you do with a nice burst of acceleration under the bridge and into turn three! How much fun you had: HEAPS!!! Ahhhhh, gotta love Straight 6 turbo goodness!
  13. Are you a new owner, Brent? Welcome aboard!
  14. Hmmm, have you had your VIN checked on FAST to see if your car is a genuine RS-Four S?

  16. Ahhh, more entrants - excellent! I can't edit the first post, but I will post up a list of current entrants who've paid (according to the SAU bank account records as at midnight tonight) later on...
  17. Spotted a silver s1 C34 with black 5-spoke wheels today at the McDonalds/Caltex in Kellyville Ridge on Windsor Road.
  18. I agree, that second shot of yours is great, Sidd, and she is cute! Wow, surprisingly little noise for such a high ISO (well, at least to my eye).
  19. Yep, Matt, your payment went through last Friday.
  20. Spotted a silver R34 GTt parked on the street in Castle Hill in the first bunch of houses behind the industrial area.
  21. ...and back to our regular programming:
  22. Here's your pie, Albert...
  23. I'd say you have to change your brake pads anyway, Damo - AFAIK the Stagea pads and the pads for the 4-spot calipers (whether R32GTR/R33GTSt, or the R33GTR's) are not even remotely close.
  24. I spotted a gold M35 ARX with a slightly damaged rear bumper (right on the corner on the driver's side) heading towards Horsnby along Pennant Hills Road around 7.45pm tonight.
  25. Thanks Sidd. Yeah, I'll have to look through my pictures and find some that have a broader and/or brighter colour spectrum to try it with.
