  1. On that "stuff for sale" note, I've got two Lowepro camera bags, and have decided I'm going to upgrade AGAIN, so I have something that will also hold my laptop when I choose to carry that around too.
  2. Spotted a white R35 today on Parramatta Road and onto the M4, heading West (I think it was at around 1.30pm).
  3. Yep, sweet! I've had my DSLR for all of 3 months, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can, and any pointers given are greatly appreciated. Oh, I bought the 50mm f/1.8 ES today and fired off a few shots this arvo, so I'll be going through those later and seeing what results I got. I was really happy with the photos I took when I borrowed the same lens from Xmetal. Hopefully with time I'll be able to post better and better shots with all my lenses. My cousin just bought a 1000D twin IS kit, and she bought the same lens today too. (What little knowledge I've gained so far I'm passing on to her.) She's about to go with her hubby and kids to NZ and I told her she should try and get a tripod but she doesn't want something that's going to weigh her down - any pointers on something VERY affordable* and VERY compact? *Note: I like to buy things that are good value, not cheap, if you know what I mean. Cheap, in my mind, basically means you're usually paying a low price because the quality of the product/service is crap. I don't want that for me or anyone I know.
  4. Ed, these shots look heaps better here than they do with the shitty compression used on Facebook.
  5. Hahaha, all good Sidd, thanks for that. I'll certainly take that all on board, but...* *Disclaimer: I should have mentioned that this was one of those "point and shoot" moments, I literally just turned the camera on, pointed, focused right in and fired off a photo. The camera was in full auto mode too. I can't remember if I used the flash at all, I'll have to check the photo details later... I don't have reflectors, but I do have an off-camera flash.
  6. My cousin's daughter, who's just turned 13. Straight off the camera, no cropping, no PP...
  7. It's the same price across the board, Stu.
  8. It's open, Ben, so invite away!
  9. Yep, as Duncan said, you're in Ben. Others have sent payments through, but as per usual it takes a few days for the payments to appear on the statement for the SAU account.
  10. Oran Park South Circuit driver training day, Sunday the 4th of October!!! Who's coming along??? This will be one of your VERY LAST chances to use this legendary, historic track EVER! It's being closed down at the end of this year, and will be demolished and replaced with a bloody housing estate. Get in and track your car while you can - this is the Sunday of a long weekend, so make the most of it, people. Don't let ME be the only Stagea there, please!
  11. You didn't know this? Shame on you! I bought the newer version yesterday on Blu-Ray, now to find the original in that format too.
  12. Nope, unfortunately not, we've locked in the venue now - we have to balance it between other events we are holding or involved in (Oran Park South circuit on the 4th of October, and Putty Road cruise on the 24th of October), and at the same time not have it too close to Christmas, and there were no dates available to us in November.
  13. Sammeh, nice shots, but a word of advice re: fishing - you don't do fishing at the fish market, that's cheating! Anyway, here are two shots I took last weekend at a wedding I attended.
  14. "Oooh, oooh, oooh, I see it, pick me!" It's here, isn't it? LOL
  15. I'm using a 40" Full HD TV as my monitor for my main computer, but most of my photos are stored on my laptop, and what little post-processing I've done on that (I'm still learning to use Photoshop) shows up completely differently on the TV.
  16. That's what I'm worried about - colour calibration tools for monitors aren't exactly cheap if you only want to do this as a hobby!
  17. Spotted Ando on Pennant Hills Road tonight, but he was SOFT and didn't even come up to Berowra for the meet before the Coastie Cruise... Shame on you, dude!
  18. I like what the owner's done with the tail-lights on the one on the left...
  19. Spotted Alex "CL11QE" in his pearl white s2 RS-Four S at his work in Cherrybrook, then met Ben "cefiro" and saw his pearl white s1 260RS in Chatswood.
  20. There'll be plenty of notice posted, so mod away, Travis! We've got a location pretty much sorted, we just need to set a few things up before we can lock in the date.
  21. Cool, thanks for all the replies, gents! Seat should be getting removed on Sunday arvo, if all goes to plan. I'll be taking some before and after shots too.
  22. As per above, I'd just like to get a quick idea on who's done the rear seat removal. I'm getting my rear seat re-trimmed to match my fronts, so I need to remove the bench and backrests to leave with the trimmer. Is there anything in particular I need to worry about? Are the cables (or whatever) in the luggage area easy to remove and re-install later? With the door trims, who's replaced the material in the centre of the door cards (I know BITSUS Nigel has done it, anyone else)? I'll eventually have these re-done as well, so I might as well have as much information as possible ready to go for when I need it. I've had the door cards off before when I replaced my speakers, but never actually looked at how the panel holding the fabric is attached... Thanks in advance!
