  1. for posting in the wrong section! Just kidding...
  2. That is awesome, Jules! Where can I find me one like her? Here I was, like everyone else, expecting to hear the worst...
  3. Oh, I forgot to mention that I saw a silver s1 yesterday being driven by an older guy during my travels between Seven Hills and Blacktown (I can't remember exactly where I saw it), it looked pretty standard but was clean. I flashed my lights but I don't think he noticed me (or ignored me).
  4. Hi mate, how did you manage in getting a set of brake pads cut for the s1 Stagea owners amongst us? I'd enquired about these previously, but can't find the thread I'd posted (and you'd replied) in...
  5. Thanks Sidd, that's what Ian said to me too when he lent it to me. Not a bad buy for $150-odd dollars, hey? I'll be picking one up soon, I think... Oh, by the way (and as mentioned previously in this thread), I'm currently experimenting with some water and splash shots, partly inspired by a magazine article I saw, and partly by the pics you and Lepperfish posted in the July photo thread.
  6. Really? In Pemulwuy, going by that last photo - am I right? I'm only 10mins away in Toonie!
  7. Nice one Andrew! Welcome to the "family" - whereabouts in Sydney are you?
  8. Ian (Xmetal) kindly lent me his f/1.8 50mm Canon lens to experiment with, and I was using it to capture some water shots I've been experimenting with, and learn more about my camera and its controls in the process. Anyway, a few hours before I gave it back to him (thanks again, man!), i went out to experiment with different apertures to see what results I would get regarding depth of field... My old man had his car parked out the front, and it was a good time of day with the sun starting to set, so off I went outside with camera and tripod... I haven't done any post-processing on the shots. Here are the two extremes of aperture and how they affected the DoF in the shot; f1.8, 1/500 shutter speed, ISO-200 f/22, 1/13 shutter speed, ISO-800
  9. Chris, most rotors have the minimum thickness stamped into the hats so you can clearly tell when to have them replaced... Have a look at your rotors and you should see it stamped on there somewhere.
  10. Sidd, it looks like she has no right arm in this shot!
  11. Looks hot, Darrin! One step closer, gotta love that.
  12. Spotted a black R32 (not sure if it was a GTR or GTSt, didn't get time to look properly) in front of a house, and a wine red R32 GTSt (with R33 GTSt wheels) parked on the street in front of the same house, on Seven Hills Rd in Baulkham Hills today when I was on my way to Castle Hill. Five minutes later I spotted a silver R33 GTSt with plates SXY33R travelling on Old Northern Rd in the same suburb.
  13. Hey Andrew, welcome to SAU. A number plate like that is worth whatever you (or whoever the buyer is) are willing to pay for it. There's no way any of the rest of us can put a value on what we think it's worth. Just remember that it will STILL cost you close to $500 a year to keep the plates in your name - it's a serious rip-off, but that's what the RTA charges. Personally, I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.
  14. Oh okay, I'm *guessing* R33 then, Brad.
  15. I thought this would be more your style, Mars... Vinyl FTW!!!
  16. Yep, that was me, and yeah I beeped.
  17. Brad, if you've changed your rear cradle, I'd suggest seeing if you can get one for whatever you changed it to (i.e, R32 cradle, r33 cradle, or whatever) to try it on your car. Maybe if you can borrow one to "try before you buy," that'd be the best option.
  18. Great shots, Roy, but I've gotta ask: WTF is that in the background of this picture, behind the building? It looks like a cross between mountain ranges and a too-close-for-comfort moon...
  19. Pffft, 'sif YOU need a hotel room, Shell! Surely there'll be plenty of people who can spare a bed for you for the night.
  20. Spotted a silver R34 coupe parked at a factory along Wentworth Avenue in Toongabbie/Pendle Hill. Also spotted a silver R33 GTSt on the GWH heading East around 3.30pm, and a gunmetal R33 sedan heading West around the same time, also on GWH...
  21. That's right. Further to this (and regardless of the fact that the build plate states that the car is an automatic RB25DET), Nissan's FAST software will be able to tell you if it is a genuine Autech 260RS when you put the VIN into it. If FAST doesn't confirm it, it's not the genuine item!
  22. Oh, those Do-Luck Double-Six wheels are HOT, Darrin, I agree with you there. For those who don't know what they look like:
