  1. I agree! If we were all made of money, how about Volk RE30's or CE28N's? Those would be my two picks.
  2. Nope, that was at Homebush - Final Battle last year, 14th of December.
  3. I'll probably be swapping my air-con and stereo when I eventually (if ever) get around to changing my head unit - I'd like to install a single-DIN DVD unit, but seeing as I need room for the screen to swing out I might put it in the top slot and the air-con controls on the bottom (if it can be done). The gauges will most likely stay in the middle slot. As for my boost controller, I've removed my ash-tray (I've never smoked, and don't allow others to smoke in my car) and used that spot to hold my Defi gauge controller and the GReddy EBC. This shot only shows the Defi controller installed, but I had to cut the back out of the ash-tray holder to get the gauge controller to fit (and run the wires, of course), and the EBC now sits on top of that. Oh, and I can still use the cup holders comfortably!
  4. Oh, as you can see, I bought those plates LONG before I had the car - I'd already decided what kind of engine configuration my next car would have!
  5. Before (probably just a few days after I picked it up), parked next to my old car, which my sister drove until she got a Mazda3. Check out the SkylinesDownUnder sticker on the 'Rolla - I'm olde-schoole, baby! Taken by Wil at our SAU-NSW photoshoot day. This photoshoot was published in HPI magazine, and despite my car being the only Stagea there, it wasn't included... The car was digitally lowered and shot was cleaned up before being posted up by Wil - I love how good he's made it look considering how standard it still was! Shitty camera-phone pic just after the old man and I had spent some time installing the Sydneykid kit (Whiteline/Bilstein package) Side shot: Most recently, just after I put some V35 wheels on it.
  6. Alright, I took some of these shots waaaaay back in May the night before our guests from Albuquerque, New Mexico headed home. The Festival of Lights was on here in Sydney, so it was a good opportunity to experiment with my little Ricoh Caplio R4 and decided if I should really step up, bite the bullet and get that Canon D-SLR I'd been considering for ages... These shots have had very little post-prod work done on them, and at that only using the tools in MS Live Gallery. I've only just got my hands on a copy of PhotoShop CS3 and am (very slowly) learning to use that. This one should have been reset so the horizon was level, but meh... As mentioned, all these shots were done on my little Ricoh using a small Joby "Gorillapod" tripod and long exposures. I was really happy with the results, so on the way home from the airport after dropping off our guests I snapped up a twin-IS kit Canon 450D.
  7. Must be a private import, but why you'd bother is anyone's guess...
  8. Me too - despite the expense, I'm kinda *hoping* for a reason to install an HKS GT-RS on my s1 C34, then turn it up to about 15psi. It's already got around 167rwkW on 7psi and 184rwkW on 10psi, so 200 at ALL wheels shouldn't be too far off! Mods so far: - Walbro fuel pump; - GReddy FMIC; - APEXi PowerFC; - GReddy Profec-B Spec II boost controller; - Bell-mouth front/dump pipe - high-flow catalytic converter - 3" exhaust
  9. One other thing you should worry about with a large offset like that is that your wheels don't rub on the inside of your guards when you turn your wheels to a full lock for a U-turn or similar. I'm running 18x8 rims with a +30mm offset off a V35 Skyline, and using 245/40 tyres, and the wheels sit perfectly in the guards - the rear guards needed rolling simply due to the width of tyres I chose to run.
  10. Hahahahaha, I wonder if that spaghetti string-like mess trailing in the breeze would add to the illusion of speed when Alex is driving around.
  11. Nice work, Pete! I've added it to the DIY section for easy reference for everyone.
  12. OK kids, who's gonna be coming to the "Texikhana" event that I'm helping to organise? Basic details: Saturday August 29th; Nirimba TAFE (Quakers Hill); only $40 to enter; you need a helmet, a long sleeve shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes, a securely-mounted fire extinguisher and a CAMS L2(S) or AASA licence. For more details, click on the link in my signature below...
  13. Nice one Scott, I might have to explore that when I next head North towards Newie. You should come down to the Central Coast meetings on Thursday nights, I'm there just about every week. BTW, you should also get yourself to the "Texikhana" on August 29th so you can really see how your car will the handle tight-and-twisty stuff (and other courses) we'll be setting up on the day!
  14. I've also heard it could be an issue with the O2 sensor - not the whole problem, but a contributing factor. If the O2 sensor isn't providing a correct signal, then the computer hunts around idle for a while until it picks up. Mine used to do it too before I replaced the O2, and I haven't noticed it as much since then...
  15. Being there post-7.30pm? That'll be a given - in fact there'll probably still be others turning up around this time anyway, so that's not an issue.
  16. Spotted a V36 heading South-bound this morning around 7am-ish on Centenary Drive around Homebush West (near Rookwood) as I was heading down to the airport. Was that you, Yo-Yo? It was a dark silver...
  17. Yep, I'd recommend both the Bavarian Bier Cafe and The Albion for a good feed, but you have plenty of options when it comes to food (and general shopping) when you're in Parra.
  18. Ouch... More delays, huh? Oh, I'm seeing Falcons in that Breeze colour everywhere now!
  19. Hey Kevin, welcome to SAU. I'm guessing that you live in NZ, right? Non-turbo Stageas were not available here in Australia, although I believe there is at least one workshop here working on getting compliance certification for the PM35 with the atmo VQ35. Nice one, now to find yourself a nice set of wheels to fill out those guards and compliment that kit!
  20. Just a co-incidence that I spotted it , Stephen... Spotted a silver M35 this afternoon in Pemulwuy/Greystanes...
