  1. All cruises (including the Hornsy/Central Coast cruise) are posted in the "Events" section, so check there! Oh, and welcome to SAU!
  2. *Kinda* spotted Kacey (aka Coastal Chill) at a JB Hi-Fi while I was in Canberra...
  3. Hey Joe, welcome to SAU! Nice choice of car, you should be pretty happy with it overall. There is a bit of debate as to how much boost the M35s run at standard and with a freer-flowing exhaust, some people HAVE found that they do get around 15psi. Power and torque figures on a chassis dyno will be very different to that given out by manufacturers, as they measure them on an engine dyno out of the car. That's why power figures are always much lower than manufacturer-quoted figures (because a chassis dyno measures power after some of that has been lost through the gearbox, diff and driveshafts, etc.), and torque figures are always higher (because a gearbox multiplies how much torque is sent to the wheels). As far as getting your car to "slam you back in your seat," don't forget that with you in the car, a full tank of fuel, oil and water in the engine, and everything else, a Stagea will weigh in close to 2 tonnes, so it's far from a race car. Future mods you could contemplate: A FMIC would be handy (it won't give you more power, but it will give you more potential for performance with cooler intake temps), and with the ECU upgrade, keep an eye on the thread started by Bis-e Bee. I'm assuming that when your friend smoked you in his XR8 (on a race track/quarter mile, right?) that you didn't stall the Stagea up against the brake before take-off? Also, the XR8 (if it's a BA version) has 260kW and 500Nm (these are manufacturer figures at the flywheel) in a car weighing similar to a Stagea.
  4. Yep, I checked how much my CTP would be with Shannons, and it was roughly $70 cheaper than AAMI, who have always proven to be the cheapest for me in the past! Just did a check on GreenSlips.com.au, and the Shannons CTP figure for me was EXACTLY the same as the cheapest for GIO - co-incidence or conspiracy???
  5. Indeed, the car looks AWESOME, Ben, but I thought you would have tried to avoid the staggered fitment considering all that's been written regarding potential issues with the ATTESA. Oh well, if you can get the same wheels again but in equal sizes front and rear (did you buy them new, and will they let you exchange them?), then go for it - it looks hot!
  6. Who is in for tomorrow night?
  7. Does that mean YOU are attending, Amy?
  8. First post updated and thread added to the SAU Stagea Events link thread. Please confirm your attendance, people, and I will add your names to the list.
  9. First post updated to add the SE Queensland Stagea get-together!
  10. Oh, where abouts in Canberra are you, Houdini? I was on the North side while I was down. I usually stay at my aunty's.
  11. How about a whole stack of these, and similar? http://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auct...5351#enlargeimg C34s, M35s, bring them on!
  12. Yep, Danny.
  13. Spotted a silver R34 turning onto Binalong Road in Toongabbie near the school at approx. 8.30pm tonight.
  14. Indeed! It was fking freeeeeeeezing!
  15. Just got back from Canberra, and didn't see a single fellow Stagea at all while I was down there. No-one spotted me, either! Unfortunately, I didn't really have time to try and organise a meeting with you guys.
  16. Spotted Shell in the new Banana-car today! Hey, me too! Dude, she was gonna run you over! I convinced her not to do it, but it took some work to change her mind.
  17. Yep, that's right, but in the mean time, you SHOULD be getting yourselves to the Texikhana and the Oran Park days leading up to the Show and Shine. I mean, it's all well and good to own a nice-looking car that sits well in a static display (and I hate seeing my car dirty or looking less than its best, so I know what this is like), but it's even better to experience how well it GOES without risking the loss of your licence or car and putting other's lives at risk... Do it, you KNOW you want to. Links are here: Texikhana: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Te...da-t270833.html Oran Park South Circuit: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Or...ou-t279028.html (this is an SAU-NSW member's link for the time being, so if you're not a member yet, this is yet another excuse to become one - as a club member, you'll be given priority placement when this event is announced officially)
  18. Come on peoples, come and represent the Stagea crew - it's only $40 to enter!!!
  19. Who's coming to the Texikhana on August 29th???
  20. Yep, as Iain said, TT's are illegal in NSW (and will therefore void your insurance if the car is stolen), so check your state's regulations if you still intend to get one. Instead of a turbo timer, get yourself an exhaust temperature guage installed. I usually wait until mine's down to below 350deg before I switch the engine off, which is where I've noticed it's usually at after a gentle cruise before I stop somewhere.
  21. Benny, word of warning: once you have your springs compressed, DO NOT have them pointing towards you at ANY time. It's the equivalent of having a gun or rifle pointing at you, if the spring compressors fail, then the spring can pop out with enough force to kill you, NO JOKE. As far as not having a rattle gun, if you have a strong piece of pipe you can put over the end of your socket spanner or breaker bar, you *should* be able to get enough leverage to crack loose those stubborn nuts and bolts.
  22. Nice one, Danny!
  23. Yep, but check the offsets BEFORE you buy...
  24. Borrow a car from your parents/sister/brother/best mate/girlfriend or whoever!!! This is the kind of event where you DON'T need to have heaps of power to get around the course quickly, as it's all about being able to maneouvre around the cones as efficiently as possible. But more than that, just get out there and HAVE SOME FUN!
  25. OMG, I spotted you today, Duncan, but you were in the cursed Zed and not the LOLvo.
