  1. There's no reason why we each can't send in a letter of support for it - I'm guessing the more people who show support for a venue to be built, the better!
  2. That depends on how old the Boxster in question is, the first ones came out with a 2.5l in the basic and a 2.7 in the "S" version. Each update has brought with it bigger engines, but I think the "S" version is always roughly 200cc's bigger than the base version. The current one is 3.2l in the base and 3.4l in the "S."
  3. I've got Federal 595's on my car in 245/40R18, and they are great. A hell of a lot quiter than the Maxxis MA-Z1's on my sister's Mazda3, but that may be because that is generally a very quiet car. The only thing noisy about her car (and most Mazdas, old and new) is the suspension noise, so it's not too surprising that the tyre noise would be more pronounced too.
  4. I've got a GReddy kit on my s1 and was informed that it, too, was a PITA to fit, and I've also got a standard front bar on mine, not a Dayz version.
  5. Hey Lachy, this has been covered heaps of times, search is your friend! Basically, long story short, it's not recommended, but if you MAKE SURE that your rolling diameters are the same for the front and rear, then you should be able to get away with it.
  6. I'm passengering tonight - no Stagea for me tonight.
  7. Yep, the box in my car is from a 32 GT-R as well, and it's running Redline oil in it.
  8. The first thing I'd have done is get a fluid change, then see how it goes from there. Maybe, once the fluid is removed, it might be worth having a look to see if there are metal shavings or particles present in the oil that may indicate excessive wear and tear.
  9. Hey Scott, welcome to the forums! Nice car you've picked up, congratulations.
  10. Yep, this was discussed at a quick dinner we (Neil as President, Duncan as Treasurer, and myself as VP - unfortunately, Steven "Dr_Doof" as the other VP, was unable to attend due to sickness) had last week, and we are working on getting right onto this and pushing it as far as we can as a club.
  11. So, ummm, back on topic, this afternoon I spotted a black s2 C34 parked in the carpark of Carlingford Court shopping centre, and I left a few SAU-NSW business cards on their window.
  12. Be VERY careful with washing-up detergent. I would say do NOT use anything with detergent in it (it can damage your paint), but if you are going to wash it off straight away, you should get away with it.... The hot water is a good idea, but I'd honestly still prefer to use a car-washing soap.
  13. It's definitely unusual, but I like it. I can't wait to see the car in a more complete state so we can get a full picture of how it will look. Good work so far, Darrin.
  14. The seats *should* be fine, best bet is to measure the rails and where they attach to the floor of the car. The wheels, as Josh mentioned, have completely wrong offsets for use on a Stagea - those are more like FWD offsets!
  15. The paint code should be on the Japanese compliance plate anyway, so you should be able to find it as soon as you look under the bonnet.
  16. Indeed. I'll note this date down and try and catch up with you guys when you're here too.
  17. Dave, how soon do you want to sell? It was this car, right? (I've got a few of my own photos from this, but they're on my laptop, so I just used Ian's shot.) PM sent.
  18. Dude, don't drink and jive, you might pull a muscle on the dancefloor...
  19. Hmmm, I already have the standard Stagea seats set at the lowest point at the back and a little bit higher at the front to provide some under-thigh support, so I wonder what the new seats will be like.
  20. Pfft, and I was gonna come and visit you at work today too, Alex, but wasn't feeling the best when I left Dural and still had a few errands left to run...
  21. I spotted two dark silver (not gun-metal grey) R34 sedans today. One had a Vertex-style kit and was on the M4 between Wentworthville and Parramatta, and had a green P plate and black wheels - spotted it around 10.30 this morning. Second one was on Centenary Drive in Homebush and turned right towards Strathfield onto Arthur Street. Same colour, no kit on this one though...
  22. Hahaha, specs on the Micra work even more in your favour - it's most likely a 1.4ltr!!! V-TEC? NO!
