  1. Massive thanks to the crew at Carbon Car Systems for last night's event. Very informative and relaxed night!
  2. Won't be bringing any merchandise tonight unfortunately (not that I have any stickers, anyway), as my car isn't running the best and I'm catching a lift in.
  3. So buy it for me please Aron?
  4. Aren't the missing bits what make it an N1, Matt? Like no rear wiper, no stereo, etc.?
  5. There's also this one, Aron and Terry. V-Spec II Nur with 31,000kms...
  6. Spotted a white C34 turning from Cumberland Highway onto Old Windsor Rd in Westmead/Northmead this arvo roughly around 1:45pm. Could have been a 260RS, and I think it had gold wheels w/5 spokes.
  7. So, ummm, that inlet manifold gasket that was/is leaking on my car since the last round of mods? It's most likely goooooonnnneeee now... Car barely idles at the moment.
  8. 12mm bolts with the sleeves works fine - I've just had mine done in the past month (beginning of November) and had no issues so far. Went from standard s1 C34 brakes to R32 GT-R. I got the sleeves from Daleo (thanks again, mate!), and all is well - no movement, no clunking noises, etc.
  9. Nice, another M35 AXIS on the roads here in Sydney! Congrats!
  10. Had a smoke test done on my car today to confirm why it's making a strange hissing sound from the intake side when on boost, and confirmed that the gasket between the top and bottom halves of the intake plenum is leaking. Hopefully once this is sorted, it will also reveal why my power and torque curves flatline at around 5,400rpm and max out at 235rwkW. Should be capable of at least another 30kW with the latest round of mods.
  11. Oh, congratulations, BTW. Not sure if I said it before, but it can't hurt to say it twice, right?
  12. I tried and tried to get my old man to look at an M35 or PNM35 when he bought his Audi A4 Avant 2.0TFSI back in 2011, but he had his mind made up. Now we hear that they're "designed to consume up to half a litre of oil every 1,000kms" - WTF? He's currently doing a 1,000km oil consumption test before taking it back there to see if it's still "within spec" or actually needs pistons and rings replaced. Oh, and don't EVER buy a car with a CVT, it sucks balls to drive, and is probably a contributor to the excessive oil consumption - keeping the car in a constant rev range apparently increases the likelihood of glazing the bores of the cylinders.
  13. Joined 25 June 2002, and was on SDU before that with the same username.
  14. That's a pretty regular occurrence at a lot of "Japanese" restaurants now, and has been for quite a long time.
  15. Oh man, I've gotta get at least another muffler on my car now - it seems louder than it was before I had it in for all the work I had done on it recently. Something is holding the boost back too, not sure what exactly that is as yet, but I need to find it and get rid of the restriction. The torque and power curves flat-line and you can feel it struggling when it's running on high boost, but on low boost it doesn't feel as bad.
  16. Me too, Duncan. Didn't he have an S12 Silvia/Gazelle with SR20? Didn't know you could lunch a 3S-GTE that badly, I thought they were pretty tough engines.
  17. Done! Looks like a good day was had! And my wish for no rain, for your benefit, worked.
  18. Just need to remember how to do trigonometry... OMG, a real-life application of high-school maths? Who'd have thought?
  19. I deleted the posts, hopefully the IPs get blocked soon too. It's not just the NSW section, either. Also, topic "stickied" for easier reference. Yeah, as above, I've deleted it. I'm only a Moderator, so that's as much as I can do. I have let the Admins know that the users and/or IP addresses need to be blocked. In the mean time, I need to get me some Ugg boots!
  20. I hope not. I'm going to check with them, but I'm assuming that the shims went back in. Yep, it's still there. It has been modified a bit, but not enough to run the risk of a $10k fine from the EPA. Apparently even the best Cats show restrictions, despite what they're supposed to achieve with their advertised flow rates. Well, last night (Friday) I went out for a feed, then took it for a bit of a drive and on the way home I went into a quiet, flat part of the industrial area near home and did some bed-in from roughly 50km/h to 10km/h with a fair bit of pressure, and it helped a fair bit. I did about 7 stops, harder than I normally brake, but not nearly anywhere hard enough to trigger ABS. When I go for another drive, I'll know for sure. Either way, I have to go back to Unigroup to give feedback on how it's all going, and in case anything needs tweaking, so I'll have a chance to ask about the shims and the brake goo.
  21. Have you advertised it on a bunch of other forums too? You never know who might be looking, and where they might be looking.
  22. I think they were factory or dealer options, not sure.
  23. BTW, my HPX pads and DBA rotor combo squeals quite badly. I'm guessing this will settle down eventually? Also, where can I get a centre badge for the steering wheel, any ideas? It's still got the S15 "S" in the middle.
  24. Yep, they had it tuned for roughly 255rwkW but it wasn't too happy there, so brought it back down to a safe ~230rwkW. There is more potential there, but there seems to be a restriction somewhere that they're yet to locate. It might be the return-flow intercooler, or it might be somewhere on the exhaust side. Checking intercooler flow is easy by just looking at how much pressure drop there is (as you guys would know), but exhaust is a bit more difficult to assess. I'm going to drive it around for a while and see how it is (and make sure there aren't any bugs that need to be sorted), then see if I'm happy with it as it is. Potentially there's another 40+ kW in it, apparently.
