  1. New Queensland event added...
  2. There's also the current Mk V Golf GT Sport that has a 1.4 litre turbocharged and supercharged engine with direct injection (first time the 3 technologies have been used together in the world). No reason it couldn't work, but I'm guessing VW would have spent HEAPS on getting the computers programmed so that they're running everything right...
  3. Nice! Those wheels look great on the M35 body, great match!
  4. Micah, when you lock in a date, send me a PM and I will add it to the Stagea Events section...
  5. Hmmm, strange that it's already got SA rego...
  6. Spotted a silver R32 GTR this afternoon on Seven Hills Road in Seven Hills, right near the intersection of Wall Park Avenue, approx 3pm today.
  7. Spotted a red s2 being driven by a youngish woman (maybe Asian), possibly looking for parking behind the shop at Seven Hills "Centro" shopping centre. Didn't get to see the number plates properly and missed the last three digits, but I *think* it started with "AYQ."
  8. Nope, Nick, if you're using the Harbour Bridge to head North out of the city towards Lane Cove, then you wouldn't normally have to pay the toll for the bridge, so you shouldn't have to pay it for the taxi either. BUT, if you use the Harbour Tunnel instead of the Harbour Bridge, then IIRC the charge works both ways, but as Andrew says, off-peak is a pretty quick trip, either way. And it's best to ensure they DON'T use Victoria Road, as any money saved on the tolls you would have paid would not make up for the time you've lost.
  9. It doesn't say it because I removed it...
  10. Happy birthday Anthony!
  11. I win!!!! Gimme my prize, NOW!!!
  12. Have a look in the Stagea DIY section for the head uit replacement thread. All the information you'll need is in there. Search is your friend!
  13. All Stageas, (series 1 and 2) have the aerial in the rear side windows, it looks like the demister on your rear windscreen...
  14. Lane Cove is well within the Sydney metro area, and about 15-20mins from Sydney city itself, on the North side of the harbour. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&sou...&iwloc=addr
  15. First of February? Sounds good, we should try and sort something out.
  16. Carry a few cans of Tyre Weld, hopefully you won't get anything that this won't fix - saves you worrying about carrying a spare which might not fit your new car. Where abouts in Sydney are you picking up this car, Adam?
  17. Not coming tonight either, unfortunately...
  18. Here's one that was prepared earlier: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ng-t251204.html If you wanted something similar, that wouldn't be too hard to organise either...
  19. You should always use Premium in your car, as the Aussie fuels are generally "weaker" than those in Japan (and Europe). For a bit of insurance, in case you can't find any Premium grade fuels when you're out and about, you should carry a few bottles of Octane booster in your boot. Most bottles fit neatly into the little compartment in the left hand side of the boot.
  20. What launch technique did you use? Did you hold your left foot on the brake, accelerate a bit to build boost, then let the brake go and nail the accelerator as the light went green?
  21. Hmmm, seeing as your ORIGINAL QUESTION referred to the RS-Four Stagea, then: Diff Lock - there is none on a Stagea... Power Mode or Economy Mode work the same in regards to how the ATTESA-ETS system works on a Stagea, the difference is in how the gearbox is programmed to change gears. In Power mode it holds onto gears longer, changes up later in the rev range, and changes down earlier. In Economy, it's the opposite (changes up earlier at lower revs, changes down later), with the obvious intention of reducing engine and driveline "stress" and therefore reducing the amount of fuel the car uses. Snow - yes, it starts the car off in 2nd gear and distributes torque 50/50 to reduce the chance of wheelspin.
  22. Now on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=130280700137
  23. That's bullsh!t. The people in the higher socio-economic areas might simply be in a better position to afford safer, newer cars - that's the difference! Who's more likely to be injured or die in a crash, the P-plater kid in the 20 year old VL Turbo, or the P-plater kid in the 4 year old Audi RS4?
