  1. Diameter and width are fine, but the offset looks too high - I'm guessing that if they DO fit on your car without hitting on any suspension components or rubbing on the inner wheel-arch, then they're going to sit too far inside your guards to look right. They'll be too tucked in. Also, if they do fit, make sure you use the right holes for your wheel-studs - this wheel is a 10-stud design, 5 of the holes are for a 100mm PCD (Subaru Impreza, Forrestor and Liberty; Audi TT and A3; VW Golf Mk3, Mk4, and New Beetle) and the other are for 114.3mm PCD, which is what your Stagea will use. The hub centre size is also different, so you'll need to get an adaptor to suit - this is VERY important as this is where the weight of your car sits on the wheels, NOT on your wheel studs.
  2. I don't mind it on your car at all - because your car is black, it sets it off nicely. I'm not usually a fan of black rims because you can't see the detail in them, but they look great on your car! It should stay.
  3. I'll go for highest power green Stagea then, mmmkay?
  4. Damn, I've gotta fuel up today and use either BP or United fuels, both of which are part of that "protest," but I am not gonna wait in a queue a couple of hundred metres long...
  5. I would have loved some R33 GT-R rims for mine too, but I just managed to find some newer rims for mine and am just waiting for tyres to arrive before I get them put on. All 260RS's (both series 1 and 2) came out with the same BBS rims, similar to the factory mesh-style RS-Four rims, but bigger in diameter and width (I'm pretty sure they were 17x9's, as opposed to 16x7), with different offsets front and rear (+20mm at one end, +30mm at the other, can't remember which way was which though...).
  6. It shouldn't be a problem getting R33 GT-R wheels on a Stagea, as Sydneykid has a set on his with his suspension kit, so there'll be no clearance issues.
  7. Looks good, Duncan! Oh, I've always liked those, but never considered them due to their high cost. Nice one Craig, are they the Lenso jobbies from Tempe? There are a few nice Lenso wheels that have come out over the past year or so...
  8. Oooooh, I'd so love to find out who this is, but if he wants to wait to reveal who he is and the details of the build, I'm (kinda) fine with that...
  9. You can just rock up, but the earlier you get there the earlier your car goes on the dyno - first come, first serve.
  10. And you'll be bringing the Stagea, right Ryan? It'd be good to have a few Stageas together at one event.
  11. I'd suggest you head up Friday night, Chris. Going direct to the meeting point and driving around all day is going to be a killer if you head up from Canberra that morning... And getting from Lidcombe to Windsor (or McGraths Hill, more correctly) is about 55mins in itself, according to Google Maps, although the way they suggest is a bit of a hike... http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&sad...mp;t=h&z=12 Personally, I'd suggest you head west (from Lidcombe) to Parramatta, make your way to Church Street on the northern side of Parramatta train station, follow Church Street to where it becomes Windsor Road, then follow that north-west to the meeting point. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&sad...mp;t=h&z=12
  12. Spotted Aex "CL11QE" outside my house about half-an-hour ago!
  13. One more event added to NSW for NEXT WEEKEND! Maximum Sydney/NSW Stagea presence would be great!
  14. I seriously hope that you're NOT caught up in that delusional mindset that because a 4WD is big, then that means it's safe. They are strong, that's very true, but because they are (mostly) built to go off-road, their chassis is not designed to "crumple" as easily as a passenger car. Why would you want a car to have "crumple zones," you may ask? When/if you ever have an accident, the way the car is designed to crumple around you is what determines how badly you and/or your passengers will be injured in that crash. Basically, the more the impact is ABSORBED by the car, the less has to be absorbed by you, which lessens your and your passengers' risk of injury.
  15. Spotted Anna's car in her driveway, then her garage, 'cos I was there earlier tonight... Also, while I was in the area I spotted a two-tone (silver over black or gunmetal) s1 R33 sedan going past on Greystanes Rd near Pemulway shops.
  16. Aww man, where did you get them, Chris?
  17. That's been done plenty of times. Even better, some people leave them looking grandpa-spec outside! They were available like that in Japan direct from Toyota, at least in 1JZ form.
  18. Turbo is on the opposite side of the engine to the RB, so that is something you'll have to think about. However, as mentioned the 1JZ has been transferred into a Stagea before which also has the turbo on the drivers' side, so it's not impossible.
  19. ADR = Australian Design Rules, which is what the cops, EPA and RTA use as a guideline to see if your car complies with the law.
  20. Be careful with that, as it's probably tuned for the stronger (higher octane) Japanese fuel.
  21. Updated with this weekend's Adelaide and Melbourne cruises, and Sydney's second Official SAU-NSW dyno day for the year...
  22. Please do a search, there are quite a few threads started on this topic already. Have a read here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...fo-t185569.html or here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...hl=tv+dvd+tuner
  23. Thread closed, as only one thread with the same question needs to be open.
  24. As Corinne mentioned, seeing as you're an SAU-NSW club member, you have access to the discounted rate for the Federal tyres. I've just ordered a set for myself as the pricing is VERY good, so it's a good option for you too, then you can take them to wherever you think will do the best, most careful job to get them fitted.
