  1. Received my Issue #99 in the mail today - the article was a bit short, but good exposure nonetheless... Nice work writing the article, Andrew, and nice photos, Ian!
  2. I'd come too, but I'm around 10hrs too far away...
  3. Spotted a red V35 parked in the driveway to Kennards Hire at around 9pm tonight, on the corner of the GWH and Toongabbie Rd. I'm pretty sure it had a sticker on the side, maybe it was the Top Secret Imports car.
  4. In this shot, it looks kinda like you might be able to fit another keg in the fridge. Have you measured it up? Then you could have two different flavoured brews going, or have two of the same and never run the risk of running out.
  5. Most pubs and clubs will be open really late (or not closing at all) because it's a long weekend here this weekend, in case you didn't know. Is Adelaide the same?
  6. It looks much tougher now with the new stance, Andy!
  7. The engine is probably still the s1 RB25DET with a few mods done to it to bring up the power - the quoted power figure looks to be estimated flywheel HP anyway, so that wouldn't take too much work to reach. Standard power for an s1 is roughly 175kW or 240hp at the flywheel, so bumping it up wouldn't be too hard at all with the basic mods we all choose to do: exhaust, bigger intercooler (even a side-mount from an s2 or R34 should cope), trimming of fuel mixtures and more boost. Being a Tommy Kaira, I'd say that it would have at least some of those mods... Or maybe the dealership advertising doesn't realise there's a difference between s1 and s2 engines and power outputs.
  8. Don't forget that the 260RS is structurally stiffer in the body due to some extra reinforcements in the body and chassis. I know that there is extra bracing in the top of the c-pillars, but can't remember where the rest is.
  9. Yah, Dale, ever since Alex "moved on" to his Evo, he hasn't been on much. Post a link about ridiculously huge wheel offsets and he'll show up though!
  10. I'd be doing the same, contact the police ASAP - take the car direct to a police station and get them to make a report if necessary (and get the report/incident number). Check if the venue has video footage, and I agree about the venue's duty of care. It might fall under the "Responsible Service of Alcohol" thing. A similar thing happened to my old Corolla a fair while back, and had I known at the time what further avenues I should have taken, I might have actually got money back from the insurer instead of me having to pay the excess and losing some NCB. I tried numerous times to follow it up, but to no avail.
  11. Thanks for organising again, Marsssssssssss! Who's gonna post piccies? I forgot my camera
  12. Maybe they're following you, Shane?
  13. Price drop: Front or rear springs, $50 a pair; Stabiliser bars, $40 each...
  14. Hahaha, AlexCim, I was wondering when you'd pop in and see this post.
  15. Spotted JET-959 last night, and went for a bit of a cruise in "POV-031 the Panda Wagon."
  16. Nice ones, Ryan, Grazza and Bradd! Welcome to SAU!
  17. Not necessarily true, I managed to get my Defi's in there and it looks OK - not perfect, but most people don't notice that they're not perfectly spaced out. I would have gone with the Defi DIN cluster, but you can't specify which meters will go in there, so I went with separates so I could choose to my needs. I got an off-cut of Poly-Ethylene from a plastics mob here in Sydney, and it cost me nothing, luckily! My old man and I measured and trimmed it down, and got a hole-saw to cut the holes, which took quite a bit of time. Another problem is that it's impossible to find a 52mm hole-saw, so like Hugh mentions, you have to file or burr the holes out until the gauges fit. Keep the holes a bit tight too, that way they won't budge while you're driving, and will be much harder to steal if anyone should ever attempt it. I made some small brackets for the back to secure the gauges to as well, just as added protection.
  18. No worries, gents. Spotted a white s2 in Parramatta this afternoon, gave and got a wave and a beep as he went past. Plate was DCS-???
  19. Andy, you up for another Stagea raid on the Coast? I haven't been for the past 3 weeks, but will be attending again from next week. Alex CL11QE has come along a few times now, so we should try and build some numbers. And Craig Jetwreck, will you be attending again? Soccer season is over, correct?
  20. Smoky will go from Pulsar-spec to Cappucino-spec!
  21. Spotted a silver V35 turning right off Seven Hills Road towards the car park for Centro shopping centre there at around 2.30pm today - it looked to have a set of Volk Progressive ME wheels on it, looked hot! Also spotted a silver R32 GT-R parked in the carpark of Hog's Breath in Northmead tonight at around 7pm. Plate was DCS-???
  22. Spotted Alex on MSN???? Oh, I keep forgetting to mention I spotted Brad's Jun-powered Stagea in HPI and Zoom magazines in the articles about Motorvation @ Kwinana, and also (in one photo) spotted Brycey's old yellow RS-Four (pre R34 face change), joe26f's RS, mike40sydney's RS-Four and StageIan's RS-Four (all series 2's) in the letters section of the latest HPI.
  23. Kicked out of Panthers'? Is that even possible? Hold on, a few of my friends would have been likely candidates for that quite often when we were younger...
  24. There are plenty of other events (both official SAU and non-official) between now and then, Tom, so that'll keep us busy. Having too much on also kills the wallet. Drift Australia - Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, Oran Park; Pizza Cruise (almost an official SAU event, certainly a long tradition) - Friday 25 September; Krispy Liverpool meet - Saturday 4 October; King Edward Park hill climb - Sunday 5 and Monday 6 (public holiday) October, Newcastle; Kiama Cruise - Sunday 12 October; FREE WEEKEND (I think) - Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October; SAU-NSW Official Putty Road Cruise - Saturday 25 October...
