  1. Those are the spring rates, listed in kilograms per milllimetre and pounds per inch of travel Example: the standard front springs need 2.9kgs of downward force to be moved 1mm (or 165lbs of force to be moved 1in). That's right, the RS4S has an R33 GT-R subframe for the rear suspension, and the way the shocks attach to the suspension at the bottom is different between auto and manual Stageas. Also, RWD-only Stageas have different front suspension because (obviously) they don't need to account for a driveshaft going through the centre of the suspension and wheel hub.
  2. Mitch has already given up his old SA plates (which were from the previous owner), and now has regular NSW plates on the car - no special number sequence on them or anything...
  3. Anthony, seeing as we'll be using the skidpan with a wet surface, it doesn't need to be as big because you don't need as much speed to have fun while sliding! I think at our first event we had maybe 4-5 cars out of the 40 attending go off the pan at any stage in the day. C'mon, you'll have a blast!
  4. Yep, he can still join even though he owns "one of those things.." And yeah, he can join on the day, but if he wants to pay for the event at the cheaper rate, he should sort out his membership beforehand.
  5. Congrats Nick, Doof and ShengBert! YOU feel old? When I got my P's there was no green P's, and you only had to have it for one year. I can't even remember what Gold license I'm up to...
  6. Standard shots? I have a few of those, but still have my factory wheels on.
  7. Ahhhh dammit, could have saved the club a couple of hundred bucks... Oh well.
  8. I'd planned on coming along too, but I - ummmmm - slept in a LITTLE bit too late. Probably would have made it, but wasn't in the mood to rush anywhere.
  9. Happy birthday, Lizzeh!
  10. As long as it has an extra "kink" in it along the bottom section, it will be fine. If it doesn't have that "kink" then it will hit the chassis...
  11. I was gonna mention that in my original post, but forgot... But yeah, considering 11N still isn't settled, then it might be better to wait. Prices will only come down anyway. Oh, just as I mentioned that PC User's current issue was the September one, I see that the October issue has just been released, and it has a big comparison of ADSL2+ modems and modem/routers in there. Might be worth checking out...
  12. WTF, Georgie was wearing the BBC? OMG!!!
  13. Hmmm, fuelled up for the first time today after having the PFC (and other bits) installed, and my fuel economy seems to have improved at least a little. I'll be going to Canberra in a week or two, so I'll see how the highway economy is and report back.
  14. Not too sure what the figures on the compression test should, but assuming yours is turbocharged, you've got to allow for the fact that it will be lower than the readings for a non-turbo Stagea. In saying that though, that 95 does seem a bit low, and that 110 is a bit suspect too. It could be a number of things, and a blown head gasket is amongst them, at the very least. Blown pistons, rings or conrod is amongst the worst (and probably most expensive). Not too sure about the "Check Engine" and "4WD" lights though, sorry.
  15. Indeed it was! Hi!!!
  16. Indeed it was! Spotted Kujo coming out of the Complex at 2A Victoria Avenue, Castle Hill. Oh, and link to Stagea spotted thread is here: ..||.. ..||.. ..||.. ..||.. ..||.. ..||.. \\\/// .\\//. ..\/..
  17. Come on, people. This is an awesome event and well worth the entry fee!!! SAU-NSW is running this event at very close to break-even point - if we don't get the numbers, then EVERYONE loses out because it means we have less funds to run future events!
  18. Hey Paul, good to hear you're well enough to have come home. Remember, without your health, nothing else matters!
  19. I own a Stagea, which is basically a Skyline chassis with a wagon shell. Would this rule me (and other Stagea owners) out?
  20. That's awesome, I want!
  21. There's also a United servo right across from the Eagleview motel, and if people don't mind using E10, they have 98RON fuel there, IIRC.
  22. Happy birthday, gents!
  23. Shouldn't N be backwards compatible with 11B and G? I'd suggest the same - StaticIce is good. Unfortunately not every store uses it, though, so some extra running/calling around might still be worth it. Oh, and Australian PC User states in the current (September) issue that the best ADSL2+ Modem/Routers available at the moment are the Dynalink RTA1025W (for roughly $120) or the Netgear DG834G (for roughly $105).
