  1. Nice attitude! So maybe the car in the photos doesn't suit your taste, so what? What's not to say that this car is the owner's pride and joy? Or maybe it's a drift pig,or the owner wants the car to have an element of surprise, so looks are less important. Remember what (I hope) your parents taught you: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all... If it was a joke, adding a smilie or "LOL" to your comment would go a long way to putting your point across - it's not as if other forum users can see you face-to-face and read your body language or facial expressions. Please take this into account in the future. Any more negative comments like this and warnings will be handed out.
  2. Yeah, I think that's the one, Brad. It looked pretty standard.
  3. Spotted a silver V35 with green P-plate on it heading West on Parramatta Rd around 1am. It turned off at Frederick Street.
  4. Spotted two Skylines in the space of 100metres and less than 5 seconds - one was a silver R33 GTSt reversing out of a driveway on Fitzwilliam Rd in Toongabbie, and the other was a black R32 GTSt turning left off Fitzwilliam Rd and into Tucks Rd.
  5. Pffft, you can keep your Volvo award, I'll go for highest power Stagea. If that looks like it will fail, does anyone wanna help me import a crazy mid-60's Volvo Amazon with some over-the-top turbocharged B23 motor? 6. This Nick (me) is with that Nick (Blitz). C'mon, Bobby, you know you want to!!!
  7. It's just un-burnt fuel, and it shouldn't be an issue. When you back off the accelerator, some of that extra fuel might still go through the engine, and when it reaches the exhaust the high temperatures cause small explosions in the exhaust manifold and dump pipes, etc.
  8. Firstly, let me wish you a welcome to SkylinesAustralia, and to the Stagea section of these fine forums! I'm not sure how long you've had your Stagea, but I'm pretty certain that it will bring you plenty of enjoyment. There you go, Brad is probably THE man to talk to in regards to this as far as the owner-experience goes. Whereabouts in Australia are you? If you let us know this, we can probably help point you in the right direction in regards to who else to speak to, where to get parts from, and I'm sure there'll be at least a few people who can probably help in the process of the conversion.
  9. No, Corinne, he's a male girl!!!
  10. Good find! And yep, it is better than guessing.
  11. WTF did you have strapped to the roof rails, Grant? Yeah, next time you'll have to angle the on-board camera to face further forward, it should give a better perspective of what you're trying to do and how the car is reacting to your inputs. Other than that, it's good to see a wagon out drifting!
  12. Where's my prize, Shaun?
  13. Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco? WTF are you doing over there, Shaun? Oh wait, you're not in San Fran? Meh, I got nothing then...
  14. The problem is, is that there's always a few people who ruin it. You know how the saying goes: "There's always a bad apple on the tree." Yep, the minority causing a negative effect for the majority is something even we here at SAU are immune to. But like Adam said, most of us are a few years older and (somewhat) wiser, so hopefully the smarter attitude (as in respect the police, respect other road users, and respect yourself) filters down.
  15. LOL, you might want to replace your "Unleaded Fuel Only" sticker on your car.
  16. Hey Dave, and welcome to the world of Stageas! First question, yep the RB25DET Neo in your car is pretty similar to the Neo in the R34, except for the fact that yours is an AWD. Most parts towards the top of the engine are interchangable, but I don't think the engine bay itself (as in the panel work, firewall, suspension towers, etc.) is the same as the R34. Interior? The tweeters can be accessed just by pulling off the little cover in the A-pillar, just get your finger nail, a small screwdriver or something similar under it. Be careful not to scratch or gouge it, though. Feeding the wires to the tweeter is a bit more of a headache, but if you've done a few stereos before, I'm sure you could figure it out. Replacing the rest of the speakers in the doors is pretty easy - removing the door trims just requires the usual couple of screws here and there, and then pulling at the trim, making sure not to break any clips... You might need to buy/build some pods to fit the front mid-bass drivers in, but the rest is pretty straightforward. If you don't yet have speakers for the rear, just get a nice set of co-axials, as there's not really anywhere specific to put the tweeters. If you have a look in the DIY section, there's a "tutorial" on how to remove and replace the head unit, along with a wiring diagram. Oh, and instead of cutting wires like I stupidly did, there are a few plug-in adaptors available if you go into a car stereo shop. Fuel economy? Seeing as you got an RS-Four S, you have the option of installing the R34 PowerFC with a few minor tweeks to the wiring (do a search for "Secret Squirrel Tweak"). Depending on the way it's tuned, you might see some improvements in economy, but you should also have more power too. Buying the PFC is not cheap, but it's amongst the best all-in-one solutions as opposed to having a whole bunch of devices tweaking fuel mixtures, ignition, air flow readings, etc. The front-mount intercooler will help to reduce heat soak into the engine, as it more efficiently cools the air going into the engine after the turbo compresses (and therefore super-heats) the air. If you're going to have it put on, I suggest you do it before you have the tune played with so that the extra efficiency can be accounted for and made use of straight away.
  17. Spotted a white R34 GT-R today heading East on Parramatta Rd, roughly around Burwood. This was approx. 4.45pm.
  18. What? Already? Say it ain't so, Bebbeh...
  19. Welcome aboard, Charlie, Gerard and "BUT Y." A Sydney cruise will be in the making fairly soon, we're waiting until the weather warms up a bit. Right now, it's great for the cars, but once you stop for a chat and/or some photos, the weather bites - I'm a skinny mo-fo, so I feel the cold straight away! Xmetal and I have discussed putting something together (although we welcome all ideas and suggestions from anyone and everyone), and it will likely include a photoshoot...
  20. Did anyone notice they used the factory rear spoiler and relocated it to just over the rear window?
  21. Do MASA have them, Grant? I just looked on their site and there's none for the C34, unless they haven't updated the site for a while... I'd love to have a really subtle one for my car kinda like this one:
  22. Duncan sells some (or used to), but I'm not sure if he's tried them on his Stagea.
  23. Jeez, Cy, if you'd brought that shirt to Sydney with you, you wouldn't have needed a flash for the camera that night! Oh, and I would've needed earplugs.
  24. That's gotta suck, Ryan. Some people have no respect for other people's property.
  25. Nice shots so far, I'm about to check out the rest now. Wow, you couldn't have got much closer to the crash of the Evo, hey?
