  2. Maybe remove the Climate Control cluster and check the wiring to see if it's all good, and/or replace all the globes with new ones - you can even choose the colour! I think DAN666 sells the globes and/or LEDs to suit. There is a thread somewhere on how to change them and what size globes are used. I'll try and find it.
  3. That's probably the computer sensing for and applying engine braking, Ian. My old man's Audi does the same thing, and I know for a fact that they were programmed that way, so maybe the Stagea/Skyline boxes are the same.
  4. I like my plates, and bought them before I had the car because I'd already decided my next car would have an inline 6cyl engine...
  5. Correct, Fountain Plaza it is. Hey, you (or should I say we) are driving a wagon version of a Skyline, so you have nothing to worry about. There are others there in different cars anyway...
  6. Surely you can get the cheapo sticky convex mini-mirrors in any parts place, right? Or did you want the full mirror like Chook mentioned? On the subject of being aware of the blind spots of other cars, I totally agree with Kylie that it's something that every driver should know. Another thing I don't understand is how some people you see on the road can be stupid enough to drive directly beside a semi-trailer or truck, REGARDLESS of which side of that truck they are on. Trucks have potentially the biggest blind spots of all, so it makes you wonder, should a truck and car collide, whether the car driver would try and blame the truck driver for causing the accident...
  7. Nope, mine doesn't have a dash light telling me when I have my foggies on either.
  8. Good work, Steve-O! It's nice to see it come to fruition after all this time of us bagging you out!
  9. Spotted a wine red s1 today, plates were JAG75B. This was on Seven Hills Rd/Prospect Highway just before midday today. I beeped and got a wave back! I've seen this car before but it was quite a while ago.
  10. Spotted an R33 GTR with the plates KINGTR today in Blacktown, around midday.
  11. Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffudge!!! Sorry to see that, man - that REALLY sucks! You did have insurance, at least, right?
  12. Stu, I went up to the Coastie Meet @ Erina on Thursday night, and a few new people were asking me about my car. I mentioned that there was one (yours) for sale in the area, so you never know...
  13. For comparison's sake, the Walbro is a universal pump, very small in comparison to a lot of other pumps I've seen, and pumps 255l/hr
  14. You must know Matt Davis then, he's one of the Service Techs there @ Toyota.
  15. I almost always see at least 4 Skylines parked along Victoria Avenue in Castle Hill whenever I drive through there (mostly in front of Castle Hill Toyota and the complex next door where Hills are and UAS used to be), and then at least one or two more on the move.
  16. Actually, we do! Make sure when you replace the pump you have it wired for a constant and strong current feed!
  17. Welcome aboard, Dave. That is hot with the lowering and those wheels! There are both Nissan and Nismo replacement indicators from a different model (or two). Unfortunately I can't remember which models suit, but something in my mind triggers R34 side indicators and maybe the U13 Bluebird (Australian)/Altima (US/JDM) models for the front indicators in the bumper. I'm sure someone can confirm...
  18. Not bad, Grant. Does the camera record sound as well? If it does, can I suggest you keep the engine noise in there and layer the music on top, but not too loud to drown it out. It will help give a sensation of speed, even if you're just cruising along...
  19. Stu, bring it to the Central Coast meets on Thursday nights, if you can. I've been going for quite a while and the exposure is building some interest in the group. You never know...
  20. Yep, best way to check if it's not running right is to have a workshop check the air-fuel ratios on a dyno, as stated. Replace with a Walbro (make sure it's a genuine one - there were some copies going around) for the best value, or if you don't mind spending a bit more get a Nismo or other Jap-branded one off Nengun, greenline.jp, or similar.
  21. Yeah, I'd go with the V35/Z33 fitment - but just remember that if your car is an AWD you MUST keep the same rolling diameters front and rear or you will be up for major repair costs to the transfer case not too far down the line...
  22. A BOV and a wastegate are two different things, but I'm pretty sure ALL turbocharged cars nowadays, including the Stagea, have both fitted. I might be wrong, however... A BOV releases boost pressure when you back off the throttle, giving you much-reduced reversion and therefore better response when you back off the throttle (like during gearchanges), but a wastegate (which is almost always internal on a factory-fitted turbo, as it's a cheaper and more convenient way to mount it) controls the level of boost when you're ON the throttle.
  23. Spotted a white R34 GTt with a black or Cf bonnet on Fitzwilliam Rd in Toongabbie this arvo. Thought it was MattD at first, but it had no kit and the number plate was centrally mounted.
  24. Wow, that's really sad, Peter. Welcome to the Stagea section, let's hope you get the car back untouched so you can enjoy it as much as the rest of us are enjoying ours. Have you had any leads as to who might have taken it?
