  1. There is, yes, and that information will become part of it. It's a good start, and something I'd like to expand on as much as possible.
  2. Hey peoples, just like I've done with the C34 buyers guide, I'd like to do a similar thing for prospective buyers (and current owners) of the M35 series, noting any information on what to look out for, what differences there are between the spec levels, any updates made over the course of the M35 run over the years, etc. I have here with me a copy of the HyperRev catalogues for both the C34 and M35 ranges of the Stagea (volumes 38 and 67), but not being able to read Japanese myself tends to bring up a few issues, as you'd understand. Pictures and numbers can only provide so much information, so it's up to you guys and girls to help wherever possible. A fair chunk of information is already starting to appear via various threads here in the Stagea section, but I'd really like to gather that information together for the benefit of all. Please post here if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Nick
  3. Nice buy, Jay! Welcome to the SAU community, and especially to the Stagea section in particular!
  4. Happy birthday, Ian! *throwsmanualconversionbitsandnewbodykitstuffandstrippersandshit*
  5. John's method is the BEST way to make sure that you are hitting the source of the problem before you go and spend money on new plugs or coilpacks - it might take a bit longer but it could be money saved in the long run...
  6. Happy birthday, Ian! *throwsmanualgearboxandclutchandnewbodykitparts*
  7. Gold picture, Jase! Happy birthday, Neil!!!
  8. Bappy Hirthday Anna! Couldn't make drinks last night unfortunately - was at a 60th and was already exhausted from the night before!
  9. Not a problem with helping out - that's what we're all here for! What Xmetal has mentioned (the lanyard, stubby holder, stickers and membership card) is what we automatically give to new members here in NSW when they join, I'm not too sure if WA's club would do the same. I can't claim all the credit for the information I've compiled in that thread and others- it's been a combined effort from past and current members and owners. I have done quite a lot of research, but probably a majority of that information is just me compiling and combining the information we've ALL learnt from each other and put it into one thread for easy reference.
  10. The dual side indicators on the front guard of the white s2 with black wheels?
  11. Like the "Stagea" badge covering the blanked-out number plates? I spotted that before too - just forgot to post about it! If the HD file is under 100Mb, then post it up somewhere free like zshare.net and attach a link here - I'd personally love a HD copy of that video!
  12. Firstly, welcome to Skylines Australia, and in particular the Stagea section of SAU! It seems as though most of the crew are doing a good job of answering your questions, and as you've noticed we're a pretty helpful bunch in here. Doing a quick scan, here's some of the questions which might not have yet been addressed already... yep, a Stagea should quite easily out-perform a Subaru Liberty wagon, unless it's one of the turbocharged B4/GT models, then I'm not too certain... reliability should not be an issue as long as you find one that's been well looked after, and you continue to do so. There are a few minor issues here and there, but that's just like any other car, no matter who makes it or how old or new it is. Most parts are interchangeable with Skylines (R33 and R34 Skylines for the series 1 and 2 C34 Stageas respectively, and V35 Skylines for the M35 Stagea), and quite a few parts are shared with other Nissans in general, such as the Silvia/180SX/200SX range. choosing which model is best is totally up to your taste and needs! Personally, I love my s1 C34, and if anything were ever to happen to it, I'd probably replace it with another s1 in 260RS spec, or get a factory manual s2. you really SHOULD get your manual license, it'll only add to the enjoyment of being a car enthusiast. a $35K budget should easily get you into even an M35 with change for insurance, registration, an alarm and a few mods. as far as insurance goes, yep Shannon's have been great in my opinion, but you should still shop around and make sure you're comparing apples with apples (premium, NCB, excess, what's covered, etc.) Japanese auction gradings are on a rising rate, i.e. the higher the number the better the quality of the car. Grade 4 covers the majority of cars worth bidding on - I think Grade 5 is a used car in exceptional condition with very low kms. if you choose to import a car, you can pretty much give your chosen importer a list of parts/options you want your potential purchase to have before they even consider making a bid on your behalf. If you like sun-roofs, a body kit, nice mags, etc., add it to the list of things you'd like your car to have already fitted - sometimes you manage to even get a few unexpected bonuses thrown in! Like Ian Xmetal said, have a read through the Buyers' Guide he linked to, and there's also a guide for Skylines in general which will also likely point out a few different things I may have forgotten. Happy hunting!
  13. Yeah, that's fair enough, but by the same token it wasn't the club's decision to remove those chat threads, it was the decision of the forum admins. I was pretty annoyed at it too... I liked the separate sections as it allowed me to connect with people in my geographical area and those areas I visit regularly.
  14. Pffft, just get some dodgy-looking pieces of carboard roughly the right size, and write "Traffic" on them... Problem solved!
  15. Great video, and excellent editing! I've added it to my Youtube favourites.
  16. Hahaha, looks like you boys and girls had a good day! Chris, gotta love how you stitched the SAU banner onto the billboard in this shot - very clever!
  17. It's scheduled for Sunday 29th of June, @ 2pm.
  18. Yeah, I guess that's fair enough Joe - it gives you something to aim for if you have others to judge yourself against, and I suppose it's always nice to have bragging rights when you do a better time than them. Hmmm, you've stated that you still don't want to become a member, but do you have any suggestions of what we should be doing to bring more people (including maybe yourself) in? It'd be good to hear some constructive criticism instead of you just saying "the way you guys are going about it is crap..."
  19. Wow, where was that, Duncan?
  20. If she's still on her Learner's, then there shouldn't be an issue with the fact that the Stagea is a turbo. If she's on her P's, then fair enough. A Stagea is a pretty stealthy car to drive around in, but it's not worth the risk of her losing her licence...
  21. Welcome to the Stagea section, Alex! I see you got your name change request done... Anyway, onto your question, about a month before I came and met up with you, I had the Sydneykid kit installed onto my car, and I love it! It's not adjustable for damping, but the ride height can be changed with the circlip grooves as Josh has mentioned. The valve rates have been set up by Sydneykid to suit our roads, and although it is a bit bumpier than the standard set-up, it's by no means harsh compared to what the rates on those Teins would probably be like. If you do want to go with a set of Teins, most people here would probably recommend the Super Streets. *Also, when you do order your suspension (whichever way you decide to go), then make sure you specify that yours is the factory manual, as the rear suspension sub-frame is different to the auto models.* I believe, from memory, that the RS Four S has an R33 GT-R sub-frame rather than the R33 GTSt one. Nick
  22. Nice, where abouts in Sydney are you located? Sounds good Ian. Do we wait for the warmer months or what? I personally HATE the cold.
  23. Yeah, you should be able ot find the paint code on your VIN plate under the bonnet. A Nissan dealer or any automotive paint shop should be able to provide some paint for touch-up use. If they don't have it, they should be able to mix it up without any hassles.
  24. I spotted a white s2 on Canley Vale Road in Canley Heights(?) this afternoon around 2.15pm, being driven by a female.
  25. Wow, Mansoor, I was thinking of you the other day too. Damned shame you have to sell after all this time and effort!
