  1. Chris, sorry mate, but we don't need three new threads about intercooler installs, and we already have an old thread (please do a search) with a whole bunch of users posting pictures of various FMIC and DMIC installs in Stageas.
  2. You probably could still retain the factory ECU, but the PFC is a full replacement unit, so it would take quite a bit of work to set up two computers to do that. If I were you, I'd look at getting some piggy-back modules (such as the Apexi S-AFC and AVC-R, or their JayCar equivalents - there's plenty of info here about them already), or getting a piggyback computer like the GReddy E-Manage Ultimate(?) to control fuel and spark, leaving the standard ECU to control the box, etc,
  3. Hey Reuben, if your Stagea is an auto, there is NO PowerFC suitable as a direct swap, because the PFC does not have any software/hardware to control the gearbox. I've heard (but cannot confirm) that some people have been using the PFC with a shift-kitted (and maybe manualised?) auto. Tangles might have a bit more information there. If you've got a manual s2 Stagea, then the PFC to use is the R34 version, with the "secret squirrel tweak" for the traction control which is standard on the R34, but not found on the Stagea.
  4. Holy crap! That's pretty scary, Leshy - I can't imagine how sh!t-scared you would have been after hearing the drive shaft hitting the undersides of the car.
  5. Ooh, sweet, another Sydney Stagea owner to add to the list! Congratulations.
  6. Well, we got the idea from the SAU-Vic DECA days. Part 1: everyone knows we commonly refer to the Victorians as "Mexicans," and we're North of them, as are Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona in the States. Seeing as Texas is the most often related to when discussing sharing food, culture, etc. with Mexico, as well as the majority of the border in comparison to the other US states, it was easiest to use this as a reference to us in NSW. Part 2: the event we hold is based on motorkhana-style runs on a skid-pan, with a hill-climb thrown in for good measure. Add parts 1 and 2: Texas + Motorkhana = Texi-Khana.
  7. Yep, that would be the series 2 RS-V. There are a few running around in Australia, and joe26f up near Newcastle is amongst the owners... They are slowly getting more popular. They're roughly 100kg lighter than any of the AWD versions.
  8. 'sif, Joe. Mine's not clean either - doesn't matter with this weather anyway.
  9. The rim (as in the wheel) or the tyre (as in the rubber)?
  10. OK, so who's coming this week? Public holiday on Friday, so unless you've committed yourself to being at the dawn service for ANZAC day, no excuses!
  11. Are you talking S14 subframe into our wagons, Grant?
  12. Just spotted a dark silver s1 with six-spoke wheels, turning right off Seven Hills Rd/Prospect Highway towards the Seven Hills "Centro" shopping centre. This was roughly 1.30-1.45pm today. Looked nice!
  13. 'sif do a meet-up that early in the morning on a Sunday! Make it mid-arvo or sumsing...
  14. Thanks Duncan! Yeah, I think I'll take it easy and get used to it. I'm going to try and book it in for a wheel alignment tomorrow.
  15. Spotted, my car back on the road after a slamming! Will get and upload new photos tomorrow for before and after comparisons...
  16. Oh how I love Freo - I've gotta get back to Perth soon...
  17. Me too, I finished changing my suspension today with the help of my old man. Actually, he did most of the work, but meh... I have sway bars and standard springs here.
  18. Most or all of the suspension parts should be the same as R33, Stu.
  19. Hahaha. I've actually witnessed someone drive their car home from the passenger seat. It was an old RWD Mazda 323, so he still had to swing his leg(s?) over the transmission tunnel to operate the pedals. Lucky for him, he only had to drive around 100m, BUT he did have to turn left around a corner and go uphill, then into his driveway, so who knows how he managed that.
  20. Scared me too, Malcolm! Where have you been hiding?
  21. You should be able to find some information here, the standard unit is a double-DIN sized CD/tape/radio unit. I'd take a photo of mine for you if I hadn't thrown it out about a year ago...
  22. Yeah, I noticed that price after I'd already posted, Chook. I was too tired to change my post by that time. I'd say go with JSAI - for that price, you can afford to break a pair doing the install and still come out only $4 behind!
  23. Noticed this the other day, it is SUCH a relief. I used to Copy and Paste stuff out when I had to send stuff to multiple users. It took forever...
  24. Anyway, Unique Autosports here in Sydney sell them for $150 a pair, if that helps. Just go to the Parts Catalogue section, then GT-R parts, then you'll see them listed as N1 R32 GT-R front bar slots.
