  1. You don't really need anything flash as far as a timing light goes, as long as you can be assured that it's a reliable unit. I couldn't really recommend a specific light to you ('soc I've got no idea what's out there in the market), but for convenience's sake, try and source one that is self-powered (using batteries) so it's two less wires to get tangled up in the engine bay when you do check the timing.
  2. People, as much as we'd all be stoked that you bring your Skylines, Stageas, Silvias/180SXs/200SXs, etc. along, don't be afraid to bring whatever you have available - one of the quickest car/driver combo's last year was TURISMO in his Aussie-spec EP91 Toyota Starlet, which he COMPLETELY (and I mean COMPLETELY) gutted for the day out on the track. And Yes, you will need a helmet too! Mainly for the back track, as evil_weevil mentioned... Yep, if you become an SAU-NSW member, you will benefit from the cheaper entry fee for this and other events - but there are other benefits as well. Ando, seeing as you no longer have the JapTaxi, are you going to enter your AusTaxi?
  3. Ya bastards!!! Yeah, alright. We can all fit into a SKYLINE, can't we? So now it's just a matter of whose we'll use, right?
  4. You're dropped from the club if you decide to, like, maybe go to Melbourne and return to home the day AFTER the dinner. That really was a poor excuse last time, y'know?
  5. Moved to the For Sale section...
  6. That was probably Duncan...
  7. Albert, LingeringJames and Sammeh, should we car-pool if we all go?
  8. Nice car, Oki - welcome aboard!
  9. Sammeh, you've already got mine, but for anyone else, mine is the same as here: GoldZilla. I've currently got Ridge Racer 7; Burnout Paradise, Cars: Mater-National Championship; and MotorStorm. Buying GT5 when it comes out.
  10. I don't have one either, Hugh. I'm guessing they're a massive help for keeping dirt and rain off the rear window, so Bobbeh I suggest you keep it on. My rear screen is always dirty after the rain, and it's a PITA.
  11. Good idea, Chuckie. I was kinda thinking along the same lines - if I fold that part of the reo up it would help to act as a bit of an air guide to direct the air THROUGH the cooler, so it's a win-win situation.
  12. I dunno, I like the VIP thing, but not the over-the-top old-skool massive negative camber style with a huge rear lip spoiler and super-low front lip. I prefer the dumped look using a subtle kit and big offset, deep dish wheels, etc. but that's still practical for Aussie roads. Grant, I'm guessing the roads you experience in Japan (and America, for that matter) are much smoother than those we get here in Australia, so the practicality factor is a major one for us, not to mention the road rules we have to put up with. With my Stagea, I'm a big fan of the kinds of cars that people use as a daily, but still punt around as a weekend racer, the kinds of cars that have a few well-chosen performance mods and a hint of the racer hidden underneath - kinda like a Q-car. I absolutely LOVE the way your Stagea looked when you dumped it over the XD-9's, and have been keen on getting some CE28N's or RE30's. I know it's never going to be a "proper" racer, but just like you (and most of us, to some extent) I love to mod something out of the ordinary.
  13. Yep, I've just received my GReddy one - now I've gotta organise some time to get it fitted up.
  14. Put me in as a maybe too, Steve-O!
  15. OMG, it's Urine! Quite a few of us are still here...
  16. Spotted Sam too, and Chubbs and Ando!
  17. ATHF rules, btw...
  18. Hahaha, that's been there for years Sammeh. I lol'd when I first saw it too.

    98 Ron

What you could also do is fill up before it gets too low, so that even if you have to use a lower grade fuel, the concentration of 98RON fuel to the lower grade fuel in your tank still balances out. Maybe add some octane booster if you're really worried about it. I've been using United 98 for ages and my car runs fine. Not sure if my local has any at the moment, because I haven't had to fuel up for a few days now.
  20. Good work, Dale! It actually looks good shaved too. I tried shaving my head once - wasn't pretty... Some people can't get away with it - I'm one of them.
  21. Nice buy, Thomas! 6sp with Brembos is a very nice pick-up.
  22. Go on Paul - you know you can do it!
  23. Spotted that black R34 GTt with the two thick white stripes down the centre of the car today - not a fan, but I did notice that it had R33 GTR wheels, they suit it nicely!
  24. Really Chris? Damn, you've had more cars in three-odd years than I've had in my life! First a Stagea, then the OneVia, now a DC5 'Teg? Do you still have the S13?
