  1. Here's mine - obviously the Stagea dash is different, but it gives you an idea. Three 52mm units in my own DIN plate (exhaust temp, oil temp and oil pressure): One 60mm unit on the top of the dash in a clock-replacement pod made by MearCat:
  2. Hahaha, a "Safety Car" like this one, right Duncan? I'm waiting to see how you go with Duncan's R34 PFC so I can get mine installed too. I hope it turns out to be as easy as deciphering a few small issues with different triggers being on certain pins compared to the R33 PFC.
  3. People, don't forget the Sticker Competition!!!
  4. Any other takers?
  5. Suspension-wise, SydneyKid often recommends that a new and uprated set of sway bars can easily make the biggest improvement to the handling of a car.
  6. I put a bit of Blue-Tac behind mine, which is also a good insulator against the tweeter reverberating against the A-pillar. Blue-Tac is often recommended as a good insulator when you put a few blobs under each corner of your home stereo's bookshelf speakers too.
  7. Parramatta is Sydney's second biggest CBD outside the Sydney city CBD itself, and just about everything you'll need is in or around there. It's only around 10-15mins drive from where the Dyno Day is being held. Like Sam said, there's a train station about 3mins walk away from the hotel you mentioned, and the train will take you anywhere around Sydney, with fast trains taking around 35mins to get into Sydney city itself. The hotel is pretty much right in the heart of Parramatta, and there's a MASSIVE Westfields shopping centre (was, and might still be, the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere) right nearby.
  8. Here's a link to the Stereo Removal Guide: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/To...ter-t85278.html
  9. Duncan, I'm sure beastien has sorted this out on his s1, so there should be a work-around.
  10. Has it got an RDS radio, Jules? Maybe it's looking for RDS traffic information, which isn't used here in Australia. Japan and Europe (and maybe North America?) use the RDS system for traffic and news broadcasting. It's possible that you might have hit a button by accident to trigger it off.
  11. That's the idea and the reason for keeping them small, James. We want people to have room for more stickers as and when they participate in more events over the year(s).
  12. Sounds good...
  13. You needs make-up, Dale. LOTS of make-up! LOL
  14. Oh, on the way up to the Coasties meet last night, just as we were turning off the M2 onto Pennant Hills Road, I spotted a really clean wine red R32 GT-R about to turn onto the M2. This was around 6.15pm
  15. Just matched Cy's donation. Go and put some "before" photos up, Dale. Maybe wearing your race helmet!?!?!?
  16. Yep, it's the Central Coast. There's a meet on every Thursday night, and I try and go at least once a fortnight. The link with all the details is HERE... Terminal's come along a few times, as he's been working in Sydney. StageIan has come along once or twice, and I'm still trying to convince Brycey, Joe26F and beastien to come down. X-Metal says he should be along when he gets his car on the road, hopefully next week.
  17. Come for a cruise up the Coast on a Thursday night, Ian, and I will post a spotting! There's quite a few people from in/around Chatswood that come up regularly. That goes for you guys too, Julius, Andy and Jetwreck!
  18. OMG, it's Rick! What's doing?
  19. Hahaha, that was scary - right rear tyre stayed on the ramps with only 1" of it's tread, and the old Navara kept rolling off because even though the handbrake was on, the rear wheels were off the ground due to the weight transfer on the trailer.
  20. Hey all, As opposed to having different shirts made up for each of the official events we hold this year, the SAU-NSW Executive Committee has decided to run a sticker competition to have YOU, our valued forum and Club members, design a small sticker that we can put on our cars to show our support for the Club, its events and the community. So, as our first event is coming up very soon, here's your chance to have YOUR design available for all to see. For details of the event, please go HERE... There are a few basic rules: the design must be of ONE colour only, as we are trying to keep it reasonably simple. Suggestions can be made on which colour you'd prefer to have your design made up in, but as we are cutting the stickers in-house and at fairly large numbers, they MUST remain one colour only. the design must be of decent enough resolution to have cut into a small photo-sized sticker, but not too detailed for the size. the design should include some basic details of the event it's intended for, such as "2008 SAU Dyno Day #1, Hills Motorsports", along with your graphic. Some quick ideas to give you an idea - I'm sure many of you have seen the "Nurburgring Nordscleife" track stickers, such as these: The competition closes at midnight on Friday, 22 February 2008. A vote will be taken by the Committee and the winner will be announced in this thread. There are no "prizes" as such, except for the glory of seeing your sticker being printed and displayed on other people's cars, and the knowledge that you're supporting your favourite car club and forum. Cheers, and good luck, the SAU-NSW Committee.
  21. Pfffft... I did it in 1.18 and in Teh Wagon, Chubbs! *wakes up from dream*
  22. Exactly, not to mention most of the higher octane fuels have Ethanol in them anyway. I always carry around a bottle of Octane Booster. I've never had to use it until last Sunday when the BP in Toronto (I was away for the weekend) only had 95RON. I poured it in, filled my tank and came home. I gave my car one full-throttle stretch in second when I jumped on the freeway, and it seemed fine. The one I used says it's supposed to add up to 7 points, but even if it's really only half of that it still fills the 98 requirement must of us put into our cars.
  23. Brakes? At least do the minimum of braided lines, new fluid and better pads. If you wanna aim higher, some R32 GT-R or R33 GTSt brakes (which are the same) would be a good start. They're 4-spot on the front and 2-spot on the rear (standard Stagea is 2-spot front, 1-spot rear).
  24. Spotted a dark blue or black R33 on Main Street in Blacktown today, heading towards the hospital from near Wall Park Avenue. Then I spotted a white Cefiro turning off Station Road and onto Seven Hills Road near the Mobil there.
  25. Hugh, if you can find a cheap adaptor plate, you should have the space to run both the oil pressure and the oil temperature gauge off the one adaptor. The Nismo adaptor plate is $995 from JustJap on it's own(!!!), so some hunting around should find you a similar unit for a lot cheaper. I figured that the GReddy kit was worth it for the price (around $190 delivered from Nengun), especially since it makes oil filter changes a lot easier, and the hoses supplied are good quality Earls ones with braided sheaths to go over them to look neater. I fitted one of the senders to the adaptor plate at the block, and the other sensor to where the oil filter attaches (can't remember which way around I did it, though).
