  1. So, who else is still in on tonight's gathering?
  2. Congrats Sevrin!
  3. Confirmed with Rosie and James tonight, that was the night we picked you and Tats up from the Chifley.
  4. I think so, Shell. I know Kat was at the last one I attended with people from SAU, that was after the Unigroup dyno day at the new workshop in Windsor. James (my brother-in-law) used to work there many moons ago.
  5. Welcome back, Justin!
  6. Aldo's is a great place, the staff are legends! For those attending, go and have a look at the wall with the photos, the boys have quite a few tough cars of their own. (It's just a shame they don't corner... )
  7. Agreed with Ian, that looks good Scott. Just wondering why your RS doesn't have a rear spoiler.
  8. Throw all your experiences/stories/photos in the wrap-up thread here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/428987-putty-road-newcastlesydney-wrap-up/
  9. Spotted that silver s1C34 on Dunmore Street in Wentworthville again this arvo.
  10. Yet another great SAU-NSW tech night - massive thanks to Terry for doing most of the organising, and to Todd, Adam and the crew @ JLM for hosting it, feeding us, and answering a bunch of questions (and servicing mine and Terry's cars, and doing a quick check-over on Luke's). Got photos? Got opinions on the information given on the night? Got ideas for our next one? Post them in here!
  11. Check out the wrap-up thread and post your opinions, thanks, photos, suggestions, etc. in there... Link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/428144-s-a-u-n-s-w-tech-night-with-jap-link-motors/
  12. They should fit fine, but you should roll your guards anyway. 215s are a bit narrow for a 9" aren't they? (Personally, I'm not a fan of the stretched tyre look.) These should fit fine too, the RS4S has a narrower rear track than the factory auto. Once again, as per above, roll those guards - 265s might be cutting it really close. I've got 245s on 18x8+30s and there's only about 5mm room.
  13. I'd be doing a test-mount of the wheels before I committed to a purchase, because a high-offset wheel is likely to put the clearance to the suspension towers ridiculously close. Use an offset calculator (either on the net, or a downloadable App for iOS or Andriod) and compare it to measurements you've taken of your current wheel/tyre combo. Also, don't forget that big wheels, and low profile tyres will affect your speedo reading and ride quality.
  14. Nice, another dark green s1!!! There's not that many of us around...
  15. Remember: the higher the offset, the further the wheels will sit INSIDE the guards. Aim for something between +20 and +30mm if you can find the wheels you like in those offsets. Unless you're driving an old-school drag car, do you really want your wheels to look like they're attached directly to the diff with no driveshafts?
  16. I think the difference here is that the Autech 260RS is a factory-certified model, and it had extra chassis bracing as well as the R33 GT-R drive-train installed. Personally, I'm not a fan of the R33 either, but I've gotta give credit for the work that's been put into the Advan car.
  17. Haven't had much inspiration lately, but I've tried to pick up and use the camera anyway because you never know what you might capture on any given day... On the same day I took the below shot, I'd set up my G12 to do some time-lapse, but the battery in my remote had died and by the time I'd rushed to the shops, bought a replacement, and installed it, the nicest part of the sunset had been and gone. Just a quick foodie shot of some spring rolls about to be fried up, and some diced eggplant that had just been cooked (and was really tasty)... 18. Unfortunately the hoodies don't come in a 5XL size...
  19. Ravi, have you tried "In The Mood For Thai" on the corner of Horwood Place and George Street, diagonally opposite the Roxy? I quite like it there.
  20. All good. I turned off onto Hambledon Road, then stopped at a friend's on Bali Drive just past the school.
  21. There's also a pin-dent just under your driver's side door handle.
